Our stay at the cozy cottage was fantastic. The cottage's charm, from well-kept amenities to beautiful garden, provided a delightful retreat. The real star, however, was the garden.

What truly elevated our experience was the exceptional hospitality. The hospitality provided by the owner and the supporting staff was nothing short of top-notch. From the warm welcome we received upon arrival to the personalised recommendations for local attractions and dining, every interaction felt genuine and heartfelt. The owner's passion for the property and commitment to ensuring guests have a memorable experience was truly admirable.

Simon, the caretaker at the property was extremely helpful and friendly. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Their friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and eagerness to assist with any request added an extra layer of warmth to our visit.

The combination of a charming cottage, a meticulously maintained garden, and unparalleled hospitality made it an experience we will cherish.

Property is small and good. Rooms are well maintained. Complete disappointment was, no water in backwaters due to less rainfall. Food was not upto the mark and very less variety. Don't expect authentic dishes as the cook is not from that region.

Rest food is average. Go for local restaurants for food options.

Awesome experience. Went to Carpe Diem Stay with family. We had a great time. Service and hospitality of Subramani Sir and ever smiling Simon touched our hearts. Carpe Diem Stay is very much true to its name. It just seized our day, made our day. Dubare elephant camp and Nisarga Dhama is very near and worth visiting. Will surely visit again with friends too

I stayed here for two nights. The cottage is very beautiful and well maintained with lush greenery and a cute hammock. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The manager Mr. Subramani and helper Simon were really sweet and provided amazing hospitality at all times. Really recommend this place.
Nearby places worth visiting -Dubare elephant camp, Namdroling monastrary, Harangi waterfall, chiklihole dam and evergreen coffee plantation tour.

Beautiful place. The cottages had a old world feel. Everything was clean and kept prepared for us. The staff was very polite and friendly. The food option though limited was delicious and homely. It's great place to go with your friends and family to relax, spend some quality time and do local sight seeing.

Worthy stay.

We had a pleasant staying experience in this cottage. Beautiful location and clean room, staffs are worthy for their services. From this place, Dubare and Kaveri Nisargadama are within 3 km. The food is amazing. We enjoyed chicken BBQ set up. Overall we had a very comfortable & happy stay

Pleasent stay. Good for couple and family. Been there for single night. Rooms are spacious. Cleanliness is ok ok. Service is good. Caretaker runs for all your needs. Free Wifi is there.

This place is really amazing! The hospitality here is too good. They make homestyle food and have a serene atmosphere. I stayed here during an unplanned solo trip and everything here turned out to be smooth and hassle free. Staff here are really friendly; anytime I visit Coorg I would bump in here definitely!

We stayed in this resort 6-7May 2022. It was an office outing. Food options are limited (no restaurants closeby too). Understaffed. Service staff less in number. Location is nice. Rooms are comfortable.

We stayed for 2 nights at Carpe Diem along with our dog, Charlie. Our cottage had a sit-out, a living room, and a kitchenette with the back door leading to a backyard.

Simon, the caretaker is the most humble person and provided for our every need 24/7. He would also spend time with Charlie.

The food was very delicious. It's charged the same as a hotel but it's a lot tastier. Simon always asks what you prefer to eat and tries to accommodate your requests. They will prepare food for your dog if needed.

We only visited Harangi backwaters which is around 8kms away from the homestay and a suspension bridge 1km away. We preferred to stay in the room most of the time as it was very hot outside to go anywhere.

The cottage and the furniture need to be refurbished. It's difficult to lock the doors and some windows do not have locks.

For the 2 nights, we stayed, no one swept outside the rooms, and the flowers that had fallen from the Indian beech tree made a stinky mess. It also got very slippery after it rained heavily one night so it's best if it's swept every day.

Tips for travelers:
Water bottles are charged at 10Rs additional to MRP so it's advisable to take your own water can.

The place is very pet-friendly and there is lots of space for your dogs to roam about but make sure you always leash your dog in case there are other residents who might not be comfortable. The property, however, is not completely bound by a compound, so if your dog is an escape artist like mine, you need to keep an eye out.: D (Simon sportingly helped us catch Charlie when he tried to escape the property.)

Do not miss having coffee. It was not filter-coffee as we hoped but it was still very tasty.

Hospitality, hospitality, and personal attention to details- that sums up a stay at Carpe Diem. The homestay is located in the lap of nature away from the hustle bustle of nearby Kushalnagar, yet next to a highway. Sheeba and Libin are amazing hosts who go out of the way to make you feel at home, tips about places to visit, food to try out while in Kodagu. And the ever smiling Simon, who makes sure who are well taken care of.

Cons:
1. Cottages need to be refurbished especially cots and bedsheets. Noticed few bedbugs which disturbed our sleep. Even the mattress is not comfortable
2. Property especially within the cottages need proper maintenance and upkeep. Noticed several dark corners and dust. In contrast the common qreas are well maintained

Pros:
1. Simon's round the clock help and support
2. Big private space and almost individual usage (only two cottages in the property)
3. Accessible to the sight seeing places in kushalnagar

Overall stay & place was good with all the amenities and rooms were well maintained.
Food was also good but it was expensive
Location was peaceful and beautiful

Awesome home stay. You cant ask for more in terms of the ambience and room quality. There are 2 independent houses inside the gated compound each having 2 bedrooms with attached washrooms and a living area. Lot's of greenery with lawns and plants within the compound. There's a swing for kids and net to relax. Overall an ideal place for families where kids can play carefree. The compound is well lit and is decorated with lights in the night.

Amenities: There're no ACs but you would anyways not need them here bcoz the weather is already cool. There's a TV with limited videocon dth channels. There's no wifi provided. There's enough parking for 2 cars within the compound. Hot water is solar based.

Location: It's in Kushalnagar on the way to Dubare Elephant Park, Nisargadhama and some coffee plantations on the way. Other tourist spots like Abbi Falls, Raja Seat in Madikeri/Coorg will be 20kms/45mins drive from here.

Food: The in-house care taker Ramu takes care of all your food requirements at very affordable prices. He cooked fish, chicken, dal, rasam served with rice and chapati during our stay. He arranges for camp fire and drinks if you want as well

Overall a very comfortable stay far from the hustles of the city life. A calm and peaceful place to stay if you plan your trip well in accordance with its location.
