From the best food choice of Karnataka state they are serving delicious food. I tried Woodfire pizza, pasta, nachos, sizzler. The taste was amazing

It's a nice and cozy place to dine in. Atmosphere is really nice, very minimal but beautiful.

I felt the pricing was a little high for the place. They could reduce it a bit.

Chavadi is one of my comfort places to visit and dine in this city.
Located next to the IIM-B campus off Bannerghatta Road, it is a rooftop place, and is perfect when the climate is cool and breezy. The ambiance is delightful with its vivid colors and beautiful lights and lamps.

I have visited here several times and enjoy grubbing on their food. From starters to pizzas, pasta to cocktails, all is worth trying.

Their Aglio e Olio spaghetti and Mushroom Pesto Risotto are my absolute favorites, along with beers and Long Island Iced Teas.

This place is an excellent place to chill out with friends. It stays true to its name. And it doesn't hurt that they don't play loud music.

Nice place for quite Mangalorean food. Well prepared and served with love by Mr Anand all the way from Manipur. Nice experience.

Food taste is good. (Veg) Service is also pretty decent.
While ambience is good, seating chairs are not at all comfortable.

Had a wonderful brunch at Chavadi Restaurant, a rooftop place in Bilekahalli, Bangalore. The ambience was cozy and green, with a beautiful view. The food was delicious and varied, from traditional Karnataka dishes to continental and Asian ones. I loved their cocktails, especially the jalapeño martini and the paan mojito. The appams were fresh and soft, and the desserts were amazing, especially the apple pie ice cream and the gulab jamun cheesecake. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing and satisfying meal.

Excellent place. Especially evenings there will be very beautiful in that atmosphere and with the cool breeze.

This review of mine is posted on zomato too. Yesterday i visited this place for the first time with my classmates and my teacher/guruji. Even though i know Prasad Shetty, the owner of the restaurant, i would not be biased with my review. This is one of the best place i ever had such a great lunch. The brinjal curry was the best i ever had in my life. Also first time i tried payasam by putting it on top of the bele holige (As suggested by Prasad Shetty) and the combo was awesome. I also liked the paneer ghee roast, mangaloreans will love it. The elneer/tender coconut drink and also elneer flavoured matka icecream was great too. I am a pure veg guy so not sure about non-veg dishes, but i saw many people there trying out different dishes and seem to be regular customers. They have all types of dishes ranging from veg, non-veg, sizzlers, pizza, french fries everything. Generally when you go with larger family or big group for lunch or dinner, you have people with different choices and we generally don't find good restaurants which serves all these types, but chavadi is exception. The place has a very eco friendly setup with wood, bamboo, clay pots etc. Very nice setup. Definitely must try for anybody, be it individual, group or family. I will definitely visit this place again with my family.

Having food at this restaurant is a pleasure. One of the best restaurants I have been to. When you eat here, one can understand how much care and thought goes into curating the dishes. Highly recommended restuarant in Bangalore. Perfect place a for an outing with family, friends or colleagues for a enjoyable meal.

Maybe I went there with a lot of expectation I guess. Because the food was mediocre and the ambience was okayish.

The ambience of this place is just awesome with a roof top and the food is equally nice. Panner ghee roast was just awesome and a must try.chicken stew and Aapam combination was as well equally nice. A perfect place if you are planning for a romantic dinner and make sure to do advance booking on weekends.

Had a privilege to experience the special weekend theme called "Yele Oota" at CHAVADI.

Wow! Gobsmacked with the never ending items of the Yele Oota. Every time I thought that this is the last one to be served as I continued to indulge and relish the experience, there was another one popping in ;-) Phew! Every dish was very well done.but my favorite was the mouth watering Paneer Ghee Roast, irresistible Tomatoe Chutney, the exotic Brinjal Curry, delicious Coconut Rice and our own Mangolrean Neer Dosa)

If this was my experience in Veg, wonder how the version of Non-Veg Yele Oota would be! Thank you Chavadi for this wonderful experience and recommending this to my friends and relatives would only be my pleasure. A must visit!

Writing honest review here, don't know how this restaurant got 4 rating. I have been there, first of all food taste is pathetic and top of that it's very very costly. If you want to burn your money then you can go. Last visit to this place. Very very pathetic experience.

Just amazing place! It's a place not much popular for its ಬಾಳೆ-ಎಲೆ ಊಟ. One should try this Sunday special. Beyond words. When it comes to varieties, it's very close to Onam-Sādya. Their welcome - Malai-coconut drink is super good!

Try their wood-fire Pizzas and the grilled Paneer. Neer Dosa with stew is also a great choice.

Their ABC juice is awesome

The food is good, however it is overly priced looking @the quantity of food. Must try is prawns ghee roast, with neer dosa. Very spicy if you like spicy food. The service was slow may be due to less staff.

They serve really good Italian food and I love the cozy ambiance. The rates are slightly overpriced for the quality and service but it definitely is worth another visit.

Chavadi being a place close to our house we have visited frequently over the years. This time we had an appalling experience where the restaurant manager insulted my sister for no apparent reason.

We weren't seated at the usual tables even though it had stopped raining but when expressed we want to sit where we choose they denied us seating only cos it would have taken 20 seconds to dry/clean it up. The entire space was empty at the time with no customers sitting outside.

After dining we saw many customers getting seated where we wanted to sit. Upon mentioning this to the manager he told us directed at my sister – “It’s basic sense we'll sit people where they want as it stopped raining”. Who questions customers ‘sense’ or’ ‘basic sense’, who berates the customers with snarky comments. When confronted he took a long time to blurt a fake apology which didn’t feel heartfelt at all.

Go here if you want your woman/girl insulted cos of her gender cos the thug looking restaurant manager lacks all basic etiquettes and clearly outta his senses that he thinks he can get away telling off a woman/girl.
Never visiting this place and certainly telling everybody I care not to go here just to be told off by their restaurant manager. Somebody teach this man how to handle customers!

Food: Their LIT for what they charge wasn’t great as it was totally off balance and their sweet and salt syrup was heavy on the sweeter side. Their jalapeno margarita was decent. Phool gobi was great and garlic bread platter was edible. The penne pasta wasn’t anything great to write home about.

Great place for relaxing with a loved one or family. Even better food. One of the tastiest authentic food in town.

Ambience is really good.
But when it comes to food, we need to be more careful while ordering, else it will end up being a waste.
We ordered ghee prawn fry, chicken wings, white sauce pasta and veg pizza.
Pizza was not really good, it was salty and not so good one. However, prawn fries I liked. So, food was okayish, not so delicious though!

It was a lovely evening. Made a random plan with my friend for dinner outing. A cutesy place with authentic ambiance and food menu. Tried their nati Sukma Mangalore chicken, prawn ghee roast, neer dosa and matka kulfi. It's a must must try. Very tasty food. Good quantity for two people. They do have plans of expanding the restaurant more. A nice outing after a long time at this beautiful cafe ️

Awesome experience, we ordered chicken sizzlers, coorgi chicken curry, akki roti and lacha paratha. There is a room of improvement in akki roti and it's roof top so corner seats are bit uncomfortable when it rains:)

Food took almost 45 mins to prepare. The Portion size of sizzler was too small even for 1 person.
Starter paneer Tikka was good though.

Prices are more and quantity is very less. Taste is not bad. If more people comes there will be too shortage of food because of quantity. Car parking is provided by Chavadi staff itself. And also they don't serve the food, we should do it by ourselves.

The ambience is very good. Great place for eating- drinking. They have a mini library for book lovers (but post Corona no one seemed to touch any of them), then there is an art wall for the artists. You can take a canvas and paint your imagination. The decor is very raw and organic (I don't know if these words make sense). Jute and glass light lamps and earthen pot holders for knives, forks and tissues. It is a terrace place so it's windy and nice. Let's talk about food, speciality is mangalorean food. But there are other Karnataka cuisines available too. Different zones specific delicacies. Then there are other options too like pasta- pizza etc. Conclusively the place is great to visit and I would love to visit again and again and again. ️

Chavdi is always in my top 5 goto places. I love the food & presentation, especially Lagan ki Boti and wood fried pizzas. The location and ambience is amazing. What's more wonderful about this place is the people. The staff is always super friendly and humble. I have been to Chavdi countless no of times. Another great day lunch at Chavadi, this place always excites me every visit. I make sure to order new dish every visit, except beer:). Due to pendamic the menu was limited but of good quality to satisfy a foody like me. I go by taste not by the look but Chavadi exceeds in both, great presentation and equally tasty. Keep it up. In south bangalore I would say one must visit this place before going to any 3 or 5 star place believe me you will not be disappointed.

They have launched a new menu with authentic Indian coastal food with lots of amazing dishes made from raw materials brought directly from their place of origin. They cook the dishes in clay cooking utensils and serve it in all mitti utensils giving you the vibes of nature friendly food. In starters, avalakki bath is amazing. It was light and good in flavours. In starters, paneer ghee roast was delicious. I had always seen non vegetarians relishing chicken ghee roast and the foodie me was delighted to find a vegetarian alternative for it. Watermelon mocktail was fresh and calming. Mushroom sukka was soft and had a rich coconut gravy. It was my first try of this dish and totally loved it. Wood fired pizza is something you should not miss to try here. In main course, appam with coconut stew was delicious. Their jackfruit kulfi was a perfect way to end the meal. If you love alcohol, do try their new quarter cocktail mixes. Litchi margarita was my favourite.

After reading positive reviews i thought of visiting this place. Food is okay not extra ordinary. Price is to high for food and drinks. In this cost some better options are available in Bangalore

Always heard a lot about this place and finally got a chance to drop down here with a brunch of friends. Chavdi has come up with their new menu which is extremely mouth watering and all the materials are procured from place of origin of dishes. Such as Pepper & Tamarind from Sakleshpur, cmoconuts from Udupi, Sawal malawani masala from Rajasthan and Gun powder from Guntur.

The place is located on 4th floor and has a wonderful decor with a comfortable seating area. They do have different walls to put up paintings, pictures and a place to put a wish lock with you partner.

We started with ordering Chicken Gheeroast, Prawns Koliwada, Nargis Mandakki, Flattened rice with spice mix, Bondas kayimunchi, Paneer Gheeroast, Seer fish Tawa fry in starters. All the items were freshly made and served to table on time. The best part is for making the dishes, they use ancient techniques like Wildfire Kitchen, Stone Grinding and many more which enhances the taste of food. Also, most of the items were served in a clay pot. Chicken Ghee Roast & Panner Ghee Roast were made to perfection and the flavour of ghee was coming out really well. Prawns were deep fried, served with green chutney went really well. Flattened Rice with Spice Mix was something which I really loved. It can be used as a side with any cocktail.

In main course, we ordered coorgi Chicken curry, Marvanthe Prawns curry with appam and neer dosa. The curries were really good and the pieces of chicken were very juicy. In prawns curry, the masala was really good and went well with appam.

In desserts, we had Jack Fruit Kulfi. This is something which I had for the first time and it was amazing. It comes in a earthen cup which makes it more delicious. Do try this out on your visit.

This place also serves some amazing cocktails. I personally loved their Pan cocktail and would recommend to try it.

Apart from food & drinks, the place has an amazing staff and service is top notch. I really loved it and would highly recommend to visit them if you are in and around Bannerghata.

It was a random thought to visit Chavadi for dinner. And that's turned out with delicious food and awesome time.

Thai green chicken curry with bamboo rice, Muttae Roast with appam are good to bring on table.

Ambience is soothing. Guys from Staff are decent and can gives you better suggestions to choose from menu if asked.

Chavadi mean a traditional village meeting place and this place also signify that. The ambience is so awesome and have its own meaning. You will find every part has some story which I liked the most about the place. In food they have a huge variety from Italian pizza to authentic food of South India. I like their pizza which is made from wood fire. Paneer ghee roast was also good and liked thier broccoli soup, it was thick and flavourful. Awesome place and nice food and when it come to to drink their also they have lot of variety for eveyone choice, I liked their desi cocktail, ya desi cocktail because the style they serve is desi and you will surely liked it. I liked their chakhna. And at last sizzling brownie they add biscuit into it which gives different and nice flavour to it. A must visit place I will highly recommend you must visit it and if you visiting at evening then I am sure it will be your one the favourites.

All recipes are handpicked from various traditional cuisines.

I had a recent visit to Chavadi after its renovation and upgradations we can call it Chavadi 2.0. First of all I would really loved the ambiance of this place and a well maintained by the team. While we were taling to chef and team members of chavdi we discovered that, the indegrents for the food were brought from the place of origin directly from farms like the pepper and tamarind from sakleshpur, coconuts from udupi Gun powder from Guntur and so on. It was amazing to see that in the world were all works are made with the help of machine, the masala was stone grinded, wood-fired kitchen cooking clay pots. All new recipes where handpicked and learnt from homecooks during our travel. Coming to the food, Being from the Coastal part of the Karnataka, I would really recommend every one to try the Neer dosa with the White pomfret curry and also with the Chicken Ghee roast. For vegetarians, I would recommend panner Ghee roast.flatened Rice and spice mix was good.seer fish tawa fry was extraordinary. And finally, the Jackfruit matka ice cream was just amazing.

It's not just a regular eatery, it's a community meeting point to enjoy some authentic native foods. Every corner of this place has it's own story to tell. Some wall is showcasing their contribution towards our society & the other one is showcasing an intense connection with the guests and their families. One can visit this place to hangout or just to read a book in a cozy rooftop corner. The enire place is open, extensive and divided into few segments. Also, this place has the arrangement to organize cultural programme for a small group of people.
The entire rooftop area is very thoughtfully decorated. They've used ladders, jute ropes, bamboo pieces & plants which looks very earthy. They have a separate segment called Native Kitchen and the uniqueness of this particular segment is to serve authentic flavours of native places. To deliver this authentication they follow some process like getting few raw ingredients directly from those native locations, even the entire cooking is being done on wood fire with hand grounded spices. Also, they don't use any freezer to store. Each and every dish served has it's own distinctive flavour.
Specially I liked the Paneer ghee roast, Neer dosa with Chicken gassi, Usli platter, Mandakki.
Even, they serves few Italian dishes as well like Veg overloaded pizza, Veg & Chicken Lasagna.
But I like the drinks most. The individual flavour of Quater cocktails made me insane. In addition, that spicy hint of Jalapeno Margarita was very tempting. For non alcoholics, Frozen Mango is the best option to opt for.
Worth mentioning about the staffs who are very polite & the overall ambiance is great.

Chavadi has some really great food. I was suggested this place by a friend for the ambience. And I was so happy with the ambience post sunset.

Was searching for a new Rooftop Place and found Chavdi on zomato. Chavdi has Amazing Ambiance and especially during night when all the light is lit it looks amazing. They recently upgraded the place both Ambience and Menu, like indoor seating area, wood fire kitchen and many more. Coming to the menu traditional costal Indian recipes and new concept of Quarter Bottle (180ml) Cocktail have been added this includes 6 flavours my favourite is ‘Rum Masala Coke’, and coming to the food It was Amazing we started off with Flattened Rice with Spice mix (Avlakki / Poha) and Nargis Mandakki (Charmuri) enjoyed it with cocktails, next we ordered Paneer and Chicken Gheeroast it’s was amazing, we also ordered Prawn Koliwada it was fried on point. I being from costal region I love fish we tried their Seer Fist Tawa Fry (Anjal Fry) it was on point Neer Dosa with white pomfret curry and prawn curry was a feast finally we tried their Jackfruit Matka Kulfi it was an perfect light dessert. Rustic and natural decor with photos of staff and people who visited. I went to eat the festival menu of fish from around India.

Was there with family especially parents, The person was not accommodating to the least considering my parents who are senior citizens, inspire of us having a booking thru zomato, its sad when they don't oblige to older people, forget us, we are going around looking for alternate, due to this one person's harsh behavior, sad, it was one of our favorite place, but sadly to say no more.

Great place just 2-3 mins from main road, they are situated on the 4 th floor. Food menu and taste in awesome, specially there Coastal menu, one must try the prawns and fish. Bar menu is good with good experiments done on cocktails. Staff is friendly and quick. One can order in advance as I felt food delivery could have been a little faster. Overall good experience and a must visit place.

I love their ambience and food. They came up with some unique concept like wood-fired kitchen, stone grinding masalas, clay pots with some ancient recipes. They serve 12 unique cocktails, must try your favourite flavour. For vegetarians I would suggest paneer gheeroast with appams and mushroom dry curry. For non vegetarian: : chicken gheeroast with neer dosa and maple white pomfret curry with boiled rice. Seer fish tawa fry has my heart. Don't miss their jackfruit matka icecream. Best place to unwind yourself.

The presentation and taste of all the above items was on point. My favourite would be the seer fish tawa fry and it's a must have whenever you visit this cafe. Altogether, I really loved the ambience and traditional way of preparing and serving food in earthen pots here.

Chavadi is a roof top cafe surrounded by lush greenery located near Bannerghatta road. Fell in love with it's rustic and woody decorated ambience. Large sitting area. There is greenery everywhere. Staffs were very courteous & friendly. Very quick service. They are coming up with their new menu by adding some amazing and mouth watering dishes. Tried different cocktails & mocktails. Each and every drinks was soo refreshing. Drinks I personally liked: Tequila Sunrise, Litchi curry martini, Spiced guava & Rum and masala coke. They have also a bar with a menu of various beverages.
Also tried a lot of dishes and trust me each and every item was super delicious and too good. Tried different dishes like chicken & paneer Ghee Roast, bondas kayimunchi, seer fish tawa fry, malpe white pomfret curry, neer dosa, appan etc. Thier every item deserves a special shoutout. Ghee Roast and flattend rice with spice mix were the show stopper. Prawn curry and pomfret curry were super yumm. Aroma of ghee Roast was super satisfying. Last but not the least in dessert had jack fruit matka ice cream which was too good and you can feel small chunks of jack fruit while eating.
Best part is they have wood fire kitchen. They are not using any packaged masala and spices. All spices they using are hand made & stone grinded which are free from chemicals and preservatives. Serving food in clay pot. The most amazing part is they bring raw materials from the place of the origin of the dishes like, pepper & tamarind from Sakleshpur, Coconut from Udupi, Sawal malawari masala from Rajasthan & gun powder from guntur.
Besides this, there are many events keep happening. There is a canvas wall where you can make your own and hang there. They have also a customer maintained book shelf where you can pick any book, sit, read and have good time or you can take home & keep spare ones in the shelf so that others can read them too. It is such a quiet place. It's subtle greenery rooftop cafe gives you homely feeling. Such a great place to enjoy with your family and friends with some amazing drinks & food. Definitely I will recommend this place. You will surely have a good time.

Brilliant Vibe, Brilliant Food, Warm Service and Goo time! That's all that matters and Chavadi delivered it with ease. Watch out for their Neer Dosa and Okra mango curry and Paneer Shashlik starter.
