These people don't have efficiency to maintain restaurant, not bothered about customers hunger.first and foremost doesn't have ethics.not recommended

I rarely rate places 1 star. But this was spectacularly bad food. I ordered one pothi chor. Chicken tasted stale as well. Cannot be called Kerala food by any stretch of the imagination. Not sure what the other reviews are glowing about. Never again!

Authentic homestyle Kerala food, hidden in a narrow road. Unfortunately they have stopped dine in. It's only takeaway or delivery joint. We were touched by the behaviour of the friendly owner, and super impressed by the food.
Matti fry was at its best. Appams were to die for with fish curry.

I am usually eat non veg but Cheta’s kitchen made me fall in love with their vegetable stew. And their puttu is soft and delicious Cheta actually made my Sunday happy by their good food. +1 for friendly staff

Ordered Kalan, Aviyal, Palada and Wheat payasam today as part of Onam sadya. The first 3 dishes were stale. Earlier orders from here (mostly non vegetarian) were acceptable quality, but today it was a horrible experience.

When there to buy chicken briyanni, as it was mentioned in menu in one of the picture posted. But with a shrouded tone was told that briyanni was never there, except for a full kerala meals.

We ordered appam, fish meals, Idiyappam with veg curries from Cheat's kitchen, packing is good, food taste and quality also good, best place to have Kerala style food

I hate this place very dirty and made dining place in between a dirty car garage brings the cooked food in between a dusty road worst then street cart food

Get your taste buds an awesome taste of all authentic flavours of Kerala from here and also they offer a wide variety of other pleasing foods. They also take mass orders for various functions and the quality of foods are up to the mark.

They have the best Kerala meal I've had in Bengaluru. The couple who run the place are as warm and friendly as is their tasty food. We've been having our breakfast and lunch regularly now for a couple months. Thank you, sir and ma'am for the yummy food always

Finally visited this place after having heard from my colleague. My first experience.reached at 3: 15pm for lunch.thou we reached pretty late and the last customer for the week (they don’t serve dinner on Sunday and Monday is a weekly off), SURESH the restaurant owner hosted us and served us “Podhi Choru with Chicken Pepper”. The Omlette tasted yummy Must say, amazing taste and was quite traditional in taste and enjoyed the conversation with SURESH. I wish him all the best and waiting to take my wife sometime next week, who’s review wud be the final

Food was tasty, especially putt - fish curry. Beef is not served there as the way he replied I think he is against it.but his behavior was so friendly n cool

The best place to have Kerala food and tea. Feels like home here. The masala chai is simply superb. Uncle and Aunty both always have that smile on anytime you visit them. Kudos to you both for having such an awesome place. ️
Will be back soon for some lip smacking appams and ever relaxing chai. ️

Good place to get kerala food around vidhyaranyapura, one could say the the pothichoor varieties are a lil overpriced.

Worst onam sadhya we ever had, Sambar, olan, kalan were terrible. Also all the dishes were to cold the Payasam s was also too bad.
The quantity is also very less.
The rate you are charging (Rs 1300) is really too much for what you deliver.
Please don't call this kind of food authentic kerala sadhya.
It was a worst experience.

A small place with homely food. It's clean and well maintained. Service is great and they are welcoming.

Its good if you are longing for kerala style dishes. If you consume Kerala food regularly prepared at home, and looking for some extra excitement to your tastebuds, may be you won't get that 'high' from this place. The promoters are amazing. Please note that this is not a Dine-in restaurant.

This place is second home to me by now!

Why? Well let me address that in two parts.

Part 1:

The authentic Kerala cuisine is fresh and sumptuous. Period!
As a testamonial to this, my 7 year son who has very sharp taste buds, has habitualized the dry chicken and fish fry made at Cheta's on a weekly basis. Well honestly i can't differ from his views. The food is fabulous here!

The other items one must try are the puttu, veg stew, idiyappam, appam, different varieties of fish and their speciality 'meals' that they call "Pothichoru".
To end that sumptuous meal one must try the devinity of the famous ginger tea! What else does one need!: D

Part 2:

The eatery is run by Mr. Superman and Mrs. Superwoman, who call themselves Suresh and Mangala to the rest of the world. Well i call them anna and akka with love and respect.

One of the most down to earth people i have met. Tied up with their day to day effort of meeting the ends, they never stop sharing a warm smile whenever they meet. (however tiered they might be). The conversations i have with them are nothing less than what i have with my close family members. The sense of warmth to me and each of my family members is something i can never forget.

Moving to the eatery: Don't be fooled by the small nature of their eatery. Their large hearts compensate for it! From large function, party orders, corporate orders to small swiggy takeaways, they are game for anything. You might like to call them and clarify on the items available in their menu on the specific day. (As they are subject to change)

Culture bestowed by Suresh and Mangala:
In short, it's a community gathering where people come make friends, build relationships, eat and stay happy.:)

One more thing. Their style of cooking believes in respecting the nature & ecosystem around us. Any product, byproduct created in kitchen is used some way or the other. So nothing is wasted from the kitchen. Also note, no chemicals, colour or preservatives are used while cooking food here.

Nice food, if you feel like eating out and yet have home food. This is the place. Mist visit for food lover.

PATHETIC experience, even without visiting the restaurant or eating the food. I called the restaurant on 14th April to get the details of the Vishu Sadya Kit. The lady who spoke to me gave me details of the quantity of the food that would be in the kit. She NEVER mentioned anything about the fact that the kits are pre-booked. This morning, I was all set to go to the restaurant, and called again to confirm till what time kits are available. Another man picked the call and told me that the kits are available only on pre-booking basis. And that the kits are over.

Hardly there is place to sit, need to balance yourself on the chairs to eat. Overpriced for sure. Im a lover for Kerala food but NOT THIS ONE. The fish, chicken were used with same bland masala with overdose of pepper. One hand while eating should always be used to swat the flies. The only saviour was the veg sambhar and veg palya. Wouldn't recommend.

There is no place to site and eat.just 4 chair out side.i took a Fisk kary rice (120) and natholi fry (120). Fish kary rice contain one pikle, papad and one thoran in addition to rice and fish kary.i think not worth for RS 120.rs 120 natholai fry was also not fresh.

Very authentic flavor of Kerala And one can feel the way spices are homemade. The lady who runs serves it with a lot of care. I have tried fish curry and appam. It was really good I would recommend to anyone who likes Kerala/Konkan food.
