Mrs. Shamala and her husband were really great hosts for us. We stayed at Chirpy Haven for 3 nights and our stay was pleasant. The hosts served us really good coffee during our stay and even dropped us to the bus station kindly on our last day. We're grateful to the hosts for their hospitality and service. Would recommend this peaceful, well maintained and clean home-stay for families and couples. Rooms are priced reasonably and neat. Thanks again.

We had just reached home back from madikerI. We miss cirphy haven home stay rooms. Big rooms and clean. Bathroom also first class maintenance and big bathrooms. View from pent house is great. Had morning coffee while seeing the fog over hills. Property owner very friendly and caring us. Overall awesome experience. Thank you

The owners are extremely friendly and generous people. They will provide information to guests covering everything there is to know about the activities available in Madikere. The beautiful weather contributed to the amazing experience that I had during my visit.

Very beautiful, clean and scenic homestay situated close to tourists spot like raja seat, fort etc. There are good eating places too nearby. Shamala aunty and uncle are great hosts and their coffee was amazing. They also provided us suggestions on the right places to buy coffee and spices. Would definetely recommend you to stay here. They have multiple room options, including a penthouse so you can choose as per your needs.

Ours was a family group of five adults and we booked the entire first floor with three rooms of the property. Clean, comfortable beds and equally well maintained attached toilets were appreciated by all of us. Near but not in the midst of central business spot, Chirpy Haven was a real surprise to all of us.

Cozy and spacious homestay within madikeri close to raja's seat sunset point and many good restaurants and shopping places.

One of the best home stay for family in Madikeri. The rooms are very clean with all the basic amenities. Shamala aunty and uncle are great host. You will feel like home during your stay also aunty makes one of the best coffee. Uncle took an extra effort to drop us to the bus stand. Looking forward for another great stay in near future.

We had booked the penthouse. We had an amazing stay. We have traveled and stayed in many hotels and places but this homestay was wonderful. Very clean and hygienic place. Mrs Shamala, the host was extremely cooperative.

Its a very beautiful stay! The hosts are wonderful and very very cooperative. We booked the penthouse which had a big living room, big kitchen and a big room with attached washroom. They have kept an extra heater in case of any emergency in the washroom. The room is surrounded by a very big balcony all over the room. And its value for money. Location is very good. They have parking facility. Overall a wonderful place to stay with an amazing mountain view.

Best home stay in Coorg. Extremely convenient location away from the hustle n bustle of the town. Property is well maintained. Rooms are spacious. Uncle even dropped us at the bus stop around 2 am to catch a ksrtc bus.

Review about the host.

I booked this place via clear-trip, but the booking didn't happen because of clear-trip's issue. I reached there, unaware about this issue, only to find that all the rooms were occupied already. The host couldn't do anything, because this was an issue with Cleartrip.

However, she really helped me to find another stay quickly and also offered their living space in case nothing worked out for me. I would always be grateful for this help, otherwise I would have been in a big problem.

I didn't use their facilities, so can't comment about that. A really really great host!

Stayed in the penthouse. You get the whole floor - hall kitchen bedroom - all spacious and tidy with french windows and a balcony with a really good view.
The place is well maintained and close to the town centre (<2km).
Mrs Shamala and her husband are really hospitable and would go out of their way to accommodate you. They've great stories to share if you are up for a conversation over a cup of coffee.
Would recommend if you are looking for a place which is centrally located but also secluded and serene.

It was home away from home. Shyamala and her husband were so kind and helpful. They use to guide us for all sightseeing. Nicely treated and were kind enough to serve a true authentic south indian breakfast. We will look forward to visit again.

I visited COORG on 5th August 2022 Morning. The place is Awesome & it Steal my Heart, But the most happening part was the STAY HOME
chirpyhaven Madikeri. It was so homely, shamala Maam the owner was very humble &Sweet. I would like to thank from bottom of my Heart for the service & welcome she gave, which made my visit a great experience. I strongly recommend all if you want to enjoy at COORG, Do stay at chirpyhaven STAY HOME.

It’s a beautiful homestay managed by amazing hosts Mrs. Shyamala and her husband. They allowed us for early Checkin in morning at 6 am, they also dropped us to the bus stop in their own vehicle since it was raining. Both of them are gem of person’s, so sweet and amazing. Mrs. Shamala also served us with coffee and tea during our stay. I would recommend this property to everyone heading to coorg. Also, the location is very close to all the tourist places such as Raja Seat, Madikeri Fort, Raja’s tomb and Omkareshwar temple.

I stayed at the penthouse, which is at the top floor at Chirpy Heaven. I had an overall good stay at the property. Below are some of the good and not so good points as per my experience:

Good points:
1. Good host and very open and flexible to your requirements. I had an infant (9 month old baby) and the host agreed to upgrade my room which I booked initially to the penthouse as it had a kitchen associated and the host felt that it would better suit my requirements which indeed was true. This one help really transformed my entire Coorg vacation experience.

2. Approachable host as they were always prompt to answer all my queries.

3. Good location of the property. It is located right at the entrance of the Madikere town.

4. Excellent views of the hills and the nature from the penthouse balcony. The balcony itself is very big.

5. Coffee was provided by the host in the morning. Some of the best coffee I have had.

6. Being a penthouse, it had huge living room and a large washroom:) The entire property was at reasonable rates.

Not so good points:

1. It is a bit dificult to locate the property. The GPS coordinates are also not accurate. There are no boards/ signs which say that you are close to Chirpy heaven. Would request the host to put up some boards/ signs near the property to easily locate the same.

2. The food is not provided by the host. I was especially concerned about breakfast and dinner. Being with the infant, I would have liked to have breakfast and dinner at the property. Swiggy does deliver food but this option doesn't work out in rush hours and also by the time food reaches you, it is cold. Additionally, it rains heavily on the town and it is always not possible to go out and get food.

3. Lights are a bit dim at the property. May be the host can decide to improve the lighting in the living and bed room of the property.

4. May be this is a bit too much to ask but the host might consider providing minimal facilities to drives who accompany you like warm water for bath and a place to sleep/ relax.

Overall, I had a good experience and would recommend this place, esp.the penthouse where I stayed to everyone who is looking for a good homesay in Madikere. Thank you.

1. An amazing homestay with all basic amenities provided at affordable price.

2. Beautiful view of the mountains & chirpy haven true to its name as you will hear birds chirping in the morning.

3. Hosts are very warm and made sure that we have everything we need even in their absence. We had delightful conversations with them and were greeted with wonderful coffee in the morning everyday.

4. Location is right on point. Close to town center.

If you are looking for a short or long stay in Coorg, chirpy haven is a no brainer.

The location is very good and everything is nearby. The hosts are friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were very clean.

Excellent stay at the property. We stayed for 3 days and loved it. The owner is professional and very caring. She took care of all our requirements. The view from the balcony and bedroom was beautiful. We also had access to a kitchenette which was very helpful. Thank you for everything.

A great host and an amazing place to stay. Beautiful view from the windows and balcony. Definitely recommend to stay there and have a small picnic in the balcony with the view of hills and sounds of sparrows.

Shamala aunty was the most kindest host you will ever see. Her house, even more beautiful, hygienic and homely. She will guide all her guests to the best tourist spots and food spots selflessly unlike other lodges and hotels that have a commission tie-up with the places that they suggest. I will definitely go back here.

We stayed at this homestay during our recent visit to Coorg. The place is very close to the main road and bus stop. The hosts are very helpful and welcoming. The overall house and rooms are neat and clean and offer a nice view of the nature. Overall would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

It is located at the middle of the town. The rooms and washrooms are very clean and hygiene. I stayed in double room with balcony, which comes with a kitchen where you can cook ur own food. The place is very peaceful. Early in the morning you can c birds chirping at ur windows. The host shamala who is very kind and generous made sure tht we had a comfortable stay. She's always ready to help evn without yu asking, which is the best part. Highly recommended place. I wud luv to visit again

The place was very well maintained and the host (Shamala aunty) made sure all our requirements were met, though we didn't get to interact with her much.
The bathroom is super clean and spacious. You would definitely feel like your own home at chirpy haven. Also, the view offered by the balcony is splendid.
Definitely recommended for people visiting Coorg.

Referred by a close friend and stayed with family. Very clean room and beautiful and calm location within the city. Market is just 1 km. Ms. Shyamala and family hosted us like personal guest and helped in planning coorg seeing within 2.5 days. Her reference Shri Kuttaiah shown us all beautiful tourists sites with knowledge about the spots and local culture and nature. Had a wonderful visit and enjoyed a lot.s

I would like to express my thanks and appreciation for the service and care I received at early in the morning. I took my wife for vacation, and I wanted it to be perfect. Your house did not disappoint me.

This homestay is one of the finest places to stay in Coorg. The property is squeaky clean, well stocked and surrounded by greenery. We could not have asked for a better location. The host and hostess are always available and go out of the way to help. They even allowed us to use their personal kitchenette for cooking and were very accommodating to our needs/requests.

Also, everything is nearby and approachable by private/public transport. If Coorg/Madikeri is planned again, this has to be the place for us.

Very well maintained place with beautiful scenery around. Loved the ambience, hosts were very friendly. Convenient to travel places around, overall a very good experience.

I stayed here in Jun '19 and went back for a longer stay this time. I got the penthouse in March 2021 for a week.
Splendid house, stylish kitchen and living space, spacious, well lit and with great views of sunrise and sunset right from the balcony.
True to its name, I could actually hear birds chirping all day. It was a great experience you watch stars in the night sky, right from my balcony.
Staying close to the city gave me easy access to couple of awesome Coorgi restaurants.
I hope to go back there again

Near to Raja seat 1km, omkareshwer temple 1.5km bus stand 3km. Abbey falls 7km
Ganapathi street for shopping 3km
Con's: No internet. No breakfast. No food. Little inside from road, night time looks scary.

This home stay is perfect for family and Its a true chirpy heaven.morning when you get up, you can hear sparrows chirping and see them enjoying the weather. The hosts are super cool and very nice people.

Homestay was maintained Very clean and hygenic. Mr Medappa and Mrs shamala Medappa treated us like their own Guests. Chirpy haven is very close to bus stop and near to abbey falls and mandalapatti.

Fantastic rooms, super clean bed and bathroom. Individual geyser in the bathroom was a welcome change as compared to the centralized ones. Pretty close to the main attractions but a tad bit offshoot from the main road. The last bit of the approach road is bound to test your driving skills. Room was big and spacious though was without a verandah, however ample windows and tastefully done sitting arrangements all around did not let us miss out much on the views.

Wow.its was amazing I loved the akki roti and learnt from the owner how to make. She took me in her kitchen and taught me the recipe.amazing Room. Beautiful view.
