Chola lakeview Stay Inn

Booked the resort for 2 days stay in chikmagalur for a family vacation along with our friends family, We had taken 2 Lakeview rooms and 2 cottage rooms which all are beautiful. The property is in an amazing place and can spend all your time walking around the property or playing outdoor games like badminton and archery or you can also carry your own games too. We had taken Veg food which are delicious. Rooms are well maintained, and we had a campfire set up one night. The caretakers and cook are very friendly and helpful.
Mr Rajesh stayed in home stay when we were there to take care of all. Sufficient space available in front of lake view rooms to play shuttle, kids enjoyed more. They have their own private falls 1 km from home stay.

Absolutely loved our stay here. The cottage room is beautiful. The food is delicious and very large portion sizes. The caretaker and cook are very friendly and helpful. The property is stunning and you can spend all your time walking around the property or playing outdoor games like badminton and archery (you can also carry your own games equipment). Gumboots are provided by the homestay for you to use during rainy seasons. Overall a very nice experience, would highly recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. We went with our pet for a first ever visit to Chikamagalur and we were not disappointed.

The property is set amidst a plantation and has lots of open space for you and your pet to move around and explore. A stream flows by right through it. There's even a waterfall within 1 km where the host takes you but unfortunately we couldn't get the time to visit that. The staff is very helpful and attend to everything you need on time with a smile!
They are very friendly with pets. The property itself has two very beautiful and gentle doggos. The food had a nice home-cooked feel to it and the taste was nothing short of amazing. Rakesh sir is a very helpful and generous host and makes sure you have an unforgettable stay.

The property is easily accessible by car and even has shops nearby within 1 km. Overall would love to stay here again the next time we visit Chikmagalur.

Beautiful experience.
The place is amazingly beautiful. It's located amidst a coffee estate, you can visit coffee plantations within the estate. There is a river stream flowing within the estate and a waterfall nearby. Though we could not visit the waterfall as the water level was low during the time of our visit.
We were initially slightly disappointed by the room we had got vs the price we paid for it. But i must say the disappointment goes away once you spend some time in the premises. The best and most surprising part of the stay was the host and the food. The host was so welcoming that he won our hearts. Plus point - The food they served was delicious.
All things put together, we loved the experience.

This place is perfect if you’re a nature lover, as it’s got amazing lake facing spacious rooms which are extremely hygienic, the food is exceptionally good. You can also trek to the waterfalls situated within the estate you will be guided by the caretaker. If you’re looking for a safe home like stay with enough privacy then this is the place for you, they make you feel at home with their hospitality but also give you your private space. I would definitely give it a 5 star.

Firstly this place is beautiful. Lake facing room and a 15 mins trek to a hidden falls. Everything was a surprise. A perfect place for a vacation. Food and hospitality was good too

The caretakers were very helpful and maintained our privacy. The Malnad cuisine food is a must try here. They had the perfect meals planned for us.
We had a 2 day trip and definitely it wasn't enough for us. We had so much to do like trails, badminton, archery, cricket, cycling. The best trails I've ever had is here in chola. Going amidst their coffee plantation and voila you'll find the best private waterfall.
The cottages we had were really good and the view from the gallery is one to cherish for. We've sat there for hours and never got bored. We could also listen to peacocks early in the morning. The experience was surreal. We will definitely plan another visit to chola.

Place will be a great memory. Had peace after so long. If anyone's looking out for some get away just choose chikmagalur with chola Lakeview stay. You would definitely will not get disappointed. And food I must say. Yummmmmmmmmm!

This is the best decision I've ever made.the homestay is very pleasant, with ease of access to the lake, falls and the coffee estate.if you want to get away from the city for a while, just enjoy the silence this is the place to go to! The care taker is available at all times and he is the kindest man.the food is yummy and so is the coffee.this is a perfect "home"-stay.a home away from home.the caretaker Kallesh helped me, attended to everything as one of their own.this is more than what a guest can even expect.amazing stay amidst nature.love love loved it!

One of the best home stay places in chickmangulur. Food was excellent. We requested for local cuisine and it was very good. Lake view rooms are the best.

In between the nature, very well maintained, Good rooms for stay with a lake view. Treaking trail within the property and also a huge water falls.
Host Rakesh is very friendly and accomodates any sort of requirements on the choice of food and activities one wants to do.

Chola lake view is a mesmerizing beauty with a superb lake view.we stayed for two days and loved it. Rakesh who is host is very kind and took care of all the requirements.he has also made arrangements for local sight seeing as per our request. He has even accommodated candle light dinner for our special day. Food was awesome. We highly recommend this place. Love to visit again. Lakeview cottages are the best. There is a small trek to see a private waterfall as well. Dont miss it.

We loved our stay at the **Private Lakeview cottages** at Chola Homestay during late November of 2020. The cottages are built next to a man-made pond and are surrounded by trees and nature.

The rooms are clean and ultra-spacious with a nice view of the pond and surrounding greenery from the balcony.

Starting with the booking process itself, Rakshanda was quick in her communication with us and ensured our queries were answered promptly.

The location is right on the main road around 11 kms from Chikmagalur city and you can feel the change in temperature and the hustle and bustle as you move to the quiet of Chola Homestay.

The best part about Chola is the crew and the caretakers. Kalesan, Sumitra and Shivraam are the nicest people we've ever been hosted by. Kalesan is the sweetest of them all and is ever-ready to help you out and will be at your service throughout your stay. Sumitra and Shivraam's cooking skills are amazing and they will ensure you remain well-fed throughout your stay. In fact, the number of times they offered us tea and coffee would have almost converted us into tea/coffee drinkers.

They serve delicious home-cooked b'fast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner.

As far as things-to-do is concerned, you come to a place like this to relax but I guess some people are just obsessed with "Activities" so there's badminton gear and a simple archery set always lying around.

We preferred taking walks around the pond and Kalesan took us for a short morning hike to a private waterfall that's within the boundaries of the property. There are a bunch of sweet dogs to keep you company throughout the stay.

There are sunrise and sunset points within 10 kms of the property and we highly recommend the Mallandur Sunset Point which is a short drive from the property.

All in all, we had a 5-star stay at the property and would gladly be back for another stay if we plan a trip to Chikmagaluru.

Chola inn is a beautiful resort with the best hospitality staff. They are polite, friendly, and will go that extra mile to ensure they follow instructions. Every meal they made (as per our wishlist) was made and served with love. There are 2 waterfalls/streams nearby with some.beautiful trails. The lake is also big and surrounded by lush green, well-kept greeneries.

The only thing that was a BIG turnoff and a let down were the bungalow rooms. Please do not offer those rooms to guests/patrons because they are not worth staying in and definitely not worth the money. We had clearly mentioned that we are 5 families with kids, wjich meant we needed 5 liveable rooms. The bungalow rooms, especially the ones on the ground floor were not liveable (basic things were missing like a small table to keep phone, water, etc.). There also was a pantry right next door that the resort staff needed to access at all.hours, thus causing noise all thr time. Adding on, even if the rooms were being offered to guests, they should have been cleaned, dusted, etc. It is unfair to offer them as rooms to anyone who has come for a holiday.

For future guests, please ensure you get the cottages by the lake. Apart from the nightmarish bungalow rooms (they kinda complemented 2020), chola Lakeview is a lovely place!

Chola Lakeview is a beautiful place only if you get right rooms which unfortunately are only two. Bungalow rooms (so called Bungalow) are not worth your 'vacation'. I would say disaster is an understatement.
To our luck, we went in a group and rooms didn't matter much but never try if you are going alone. Basically have a close check which room you are booking.
However the food, service, staff are worth getting more than 5 star. Delicious food no matter what you order. Courteous staff. They serve you with a smile and love, be it 12 in night.
One star is only for the room which was total disappointment - unexplainable. Additionally the play area was all covered with coffee beans. Even after repeated request, they never cleared that area.

Owner of this stay inn should have been transparent and should have informed us the status of rooms and play area (and we were in constant touch with owner).

Nice getaway place from Bangalore amidst lush green coffee plantations with excellent service from staff and good food. Lot of recreational activities like coffee estate walk which includes beautiful natural waterfalls with good play area. The rooms are very well designed, managed and nice scenic view of the lake. We witnessed the harvesting of coffee beans. We carried back wonderful memories.

The Chola Lakeview Stay Inn is situated within a huge lush green coffee estate. Visited with my family and stayed in one of the cottages, which is beautifully designed and very well maintained. The cottage is right next to a lake having an excellent view of the lake. One can spend an entire day just exploring the coffee estate which includes a beautiful waterfall nearby. The host and staff are very friendly and provided excellent service. Food is great, especially non-veg. Recommend it to both families and friends.

Chola Lake View is the best place to enjoy with friends and family, great view, private lake for fishing, stream flowing in estate. Food is delicious, they cook separate for vegetarians. Love to vist again and again. They have private cricket ground.
Staff's very friendly, Food is prepared by caretakers and you can decide the menu. Will definitely come again.
