Visited on a dipawali evening with a family of 5. Since we reached somewhere around 8 pm, we didn't have to wait much but soon after that, all the tables were full and we could see people waiting. Food, ambience, service everything amazing. Tandoori chicken was very soft and well marinated. Over all we had a great experience.
I have one criteria for a so called north Indian restaurant, you need to make naan and butter chicken good, so if you can't do that don't bother to call yourself north Indian restaurant.
Decent place to drop in if you want a dhaba experience. The aesthetic of the place consists of chauki to sit on, wooden furnishings, colorful flyers on the ceiling and dress code of servers.
On the part of food, it's good. Especially if you go for parathas, tandoori chicken, tandoori paneer tikka. I have been to this place a couple of times, since it's nearby and also it's tough to find a decent restaurant in sarjapura with good food which is not a Restobar.
Even though it has Social right above it, Punjabi restaurant below, Domino's n other restaurants nearby, you could always find this place filled with people which of course tells you about quality of the place.
Food was really good.if u like Punjabi and non veg plz try.but the biggest problem to visit this restaurant is the lift.it's always full and the wait time is too much.u can't take the steps also.
This restaurant is located at the busy street of Sarjapura. Ambience is so beautiful. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Coming to food, we tried masala papad, manchurian chicken, swariya chicken, CCD Special veg in starters. Swariya chicken is a must try. Other dishes were also tasty. They can improve on manchurian chicken. In main course, we tried chicken tikka gravy, naan and missi roti. Everything was good.
One of the best place to go for North Indian cuisine. The food and the ambiance both are great. Coming to the food: Masala papad: It was spicy and had toppings of onion and tomato finely chopped. Babycorn Manchurian: it was spicy but really yum to tatse and had a good quantity. Malai Panner Tikka: This was really great. The panner was properly cooked and with capsicum and tomato it tasted really nice. Sweet Lassi: the name speaks for itself it was sweet and really nice. Gulabi Meetha Pan: what better end to a great meal would be without a pan.really loved the pan Ambiance: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Food: 5/5
Decent food, but portion sizes are small. Also, the recipes of all common dishes are not as expected. Ambience is nice though, and staff is new, but helpful.
Chulha Chowki Da Dhaba - CCDD, After three - four outlets, One more outlet opened in Sarjapur Road, Bangalore.
A rooftop Dhaba located in 6 Floor, It's a rustic place with full Desi Dhaba style, with different sitting arrangements. Like inside village type look. Open kitchen, Playing 90s songs which was perfect with the place and food. A great place for family dine in.
Starters: Great selected options in Veg and Non Veg. Tried some of the items, Veg Ball Manchurian - Deep fried balls Stuffed Veggies with Sauce. Paneer Tikka - Tandoori Paneer Tikka well cooked in Tandoor served with Chutney.
I am set with Lassi and Masala Papad. (One of my top in list for Starters)
Main Course: Bhindi do Payaza - One of my favorite was well prepared. Gobi Matar - Well great Curry for the Winter and taste was good.
Desserts: Only One of option in Dessert, That's is Gulab Jamun, Suggested to add more in Dessert.
Staff & Service: Quite quick service, Well mannered and friendly staff.
The restaurant is located at the same Building as Sarjapur social. No valet parking is available but there's ample amount of parking infront of the building. The restaurant is quite spacious and nicely decorated. The dhaba kind of ambience is very beautiful. We started with masala papad, manchurian chicken, sawariya chicken and ccd speial veg in startea. All the items were delicious. Sawariya chicken was juicy and spicy but manchurian chicken was thickly coated which made it taste very spicy. For main course we ordered chicken tikka gravy, and butter nan. Overall food quantity taste was very good. Kulad lassi is a must, it's very thick and sweet. They have many staff which makes the service quick and good. Perfect place for a family dineout.
After being a great Fan of their JP nagar & Kalyan nagar Branches, I happen to visit this place this week. Even though its a new branch & as well a Weekday, the crowd was full. It is one the of the best North Indian restaurant in Bangalore. They have Dhaba kind of ambience, it makes us even more authentic. It was colourful and with seating it gave even more nice feeling.
Located in the 4th Floor, it will be pleasant & breezy in the evening. They have a quiet number staff & service is fast. If you are looking for a best Punjabi cuisine, Sarjapur road this is the best place to be. They don’t valet parking.
One of the best place to go to for North Indian cuisine. The ambiance was good. Coming to the food tried: Masala papad: Has some masala i.e tomato and onion chopped finely. A little spicy. Malai Panner Tikka: Was really good. Loved the taste.properly cooked panner wit capsicum and tomato Babycorn Manchurian: Yum to tatse. Bit spicy.nice quantity Had Desi Ghee Roti with Malai Kofta which was really nice Sweet Lassi: as the name says for it self it was nice and sweet and something everyone would like Gulabi Meetha Pan: The best ending to a great food would be by eating a pan and this gulabi meetha pan made the day. Service: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5.
Worst service. 40 mins and we've not even received starters. Main course arrived before starters and we're told to eat main course first. Taste of food is horrible. I'm currently in the restaurant.
Very nice ambience. We went for lunch, and the view was nice. Coming to food, it was really good. Quantity is decent enough and taste is really good. Salted lassi a must try.
Food quality is good and amazing serving staff.happy and smiling faces with good food is the best combination post a hectic day at office.would love to visit back
I visited this place for a weekend lunch. The place is situated on Sarjapur Road in the same building where there is Sarjapur Social and Punjabi Rasoi. They do have multiple outlets in Bangalore and this one has recently opened. Now, here is my perspective about the place.
Food (4 out of 5) - We started with their Famous Kulhad Sweet Lassi and Masala Papad. The Lassi was quite thick and had perfect sweetness. It’s a must try if you visit any of their outlets. In starters, I tried their Paneer Chatpata and Stuffed Mushroom Tikka. Both of them were spicy and full of flavors. I liked the Paneer one more. In Main Course, we tried their Paneer Kadhai and their special Daal Tadka (with Desi Ghee). Daal Tadka tasted really good. Ghee made it taste even better. Also loved their Paneer Paratha. It was perfectly cooked with optimal amount of paneer stuffing. We finished our meal with their in house special Paan. It was a perfect way to finish the meal.
Ambience (4.5 out of 5) - The ambience is pretty good. The place surely gives you a feel of dhaba with their ambience. The food is served in steel cutlery just like a dhaba. They have maintained good amount of greenery as well.
Service (4.5 out of 5) - The staff was quite polite, courteous and welcoming. The service was really good and didn’t face any issues.
Chulha chauki da Dhaba is one of the best and authentic North Indian restaurant with Dhaba feel I can say. Cozy ambience, attentive staffs. Their lassi, paan, stuffed parathas are a must try. We had ordered for a lassi, chicken hot garlic (very spicy, not recommended for kids) and Sawariya chicken (Tandoor starters are the best here) among starters, garlic butter naan and stuffed butter kulcha (must try), among main course we chose Tawa chicken (made of boneless peices, was very delicious), chicken biryani. Finally their paan. Loved it, this would definitely be my go to place whenever I crave for punjabi cuisine.
Ambience was great with bollywood 90's songs playing. Lassi was very delicious. Food was little spicy by it was tasty. Overall it's worth going this place for fine dining.
