The food was amazing, the rooms fantastic, and the location of the stay have my heart.
I know the guest are really important for you delivery everything as promised to them is much more important but not at the cost of how you treat your fellow human beings (the women who work there). So that's why one star otherwise it would have been 5.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at coffee valley, a wonderful home stay and I must say, it was an absolute delight from start to finish! Not only did we experience warm and friendly hospitality, but the food served here was simply outstanding.

Firstly, the hosts of this home stay went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. They greeted us with genuine smiles and made us feel like part of their family. Their attention to detail and willingness to accommodate our needs made our stay truly exceptional.

Now let's talk about the food. Oh, where do I begin? The meals served at this home stay were nothing short of culinary masterpieces. Every dish was prepared with love and expertise, and the flavors were out of this world. From the hearty breakfasts to the mouthwatering dinners, every bite was a delightful experience. They even catered to dietary restrictions, ensuring that everyone's needs were met.

The variety of dishes offered was impressive, like mango curry, akki roti, mutton curry, etc showcasing a perfect blend of local flavors and some local delicious delicacy. It was evident that the ingredients used were of top quality, and. I must mention their special homemade desserts, tender coconut pudding which were the perfect ending to meal. I couldn't resist going back for seconds!

Furthermore, they engage in friendly conversations, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that added to the overall charm of the experience.

Apart from the fantastic food and hospitality, the home stay itself was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The attention to detail was evident throughout the property, ensuring a pleasant and relaxing environment for guests.

In conclusion, I highly recommend this home stay to anyone seeking a memorable getaway with exceptional food. The hosts' warm hospitality, combined with the incredible culinary creations, will leave you wanting to extend your stay. I can't wait to return and relive this wonderful experience. This is a small slice of paradise. The place is so aesthetically done up, its meticulously clean and very comfortable. The gardens are lush and vibrant with winter blooms. The silence is healing. But the best part of this is Ashwini Gowda the lady who runs it. She is a masterchef who cooks every thing fresh. Her table is to die for. I will be back for the food alone. Along with her cooking is her warmth and attention to details to make you comfortable and at ease

I would highly recommend this homestay for a relaxed and peaceful environment. Host Ashwini is so good in taking care of us by providing full course meal like varieties of starters, main course and dessert like a buffet for each of our meal with authentic Malnad food. Thanks a lot Ashwini mam. You made our Chikmagalur stay most memorable with your great tasting food. Limited space for outdoor sports. They do provide Night Fire, which we enjoyed a lot. Ours was a family trip which was very well spent. Bonus: Kids enjoyed playing with the puppy named ZuZu. Looking forward to visit again.

A MUST VISIT

This was my 1st home stay experience and what you can ask more than a humble and down to earth host with best south Indian food i ever had. On between nature and coffee estate you feel all the happy vibes.
If you are in chikmagalur never miss this place. A must visit.

First and foremost thing to appreciate is delicious and tasty local home food. Right from starters to desert, everything was excellent. Finest hospitality. Limited leg space for out door sports. Enjoyed the evening camp fire event. Overall it was very pleasant.

All i can say is this is the right spot for a peaceful vacation. Excellent food, peaceful ambience amidst the nature and great hospitality!

It is easier to list what food allergies I don't have rather than listing what food allergies I have. I had been struggling with travel and eating out due to this. Ashwini ji helped not only helped us finding a menu working around my food restrictions and allergies, We had a lot of variety in spite of our restrictions and that too home food. The only time I had a trip without an upset stomach for quite some time now. I might have even gained a couple of kgs. The hospitality and food were excellent. The homestay is located in a peaceful location and the garden is excellent. Recommended.

The place has an amazing vibe, very clean and neat. The owners are great people and offer fabulous service and hospitality and were very welcoming. We had a great time there.

Coffe valley homestay is located in a beautiful location and the host is very good and friendly. The food is nice and tasty and healthy. 100% recommended this place

This was my third visit to the homestay. There is no change in quality over the years, in fact it has gotten even better according to me. The food and hospitality is what makes this home stay unique. We were a big group of 14 from age 13 to 73 and all of us enjoyed a lot. Ashwini mam guided us about which view points to see which will suit all of us, the routes to take and even the shop names where we will get good coffee, sweets, local spices etc. Thanks a lot Ashwini mam for everything.looking forward to the next visit!

Approach Road: Even though we went in Monsoon, there were no issues in reaching the homestay. There were ‘normal’ potholed stretches from Chikmagalur town till the location, but nothing of any major concern. The last 50 Mts has a tricky bump at the final junction when you take a left turn into the road where this homestay resides. Sedans, hatchbacks and vehicles with low ground clearance need to tread gingerly else you can end up scraping your vehicle’s underbody. Plan the approach angle and you should be fine.

Parking: Plenty of open parking space inside the compound of the homestay. No issues at all.

Location and Landscape: Don’t expect stunning views directly from your room but the lush green surroundings is pure bliss. Taking a walk on the road outside the homestay is a joy. From the premises, you do get the odd ‘hill view’ here and there.

Room: Big, clean and comfortable. Our room could sleep 4 (a double bed and 2 single beds). We understood from the host that most (if not all) rooms can accommodate 4. There are enough plug points to charge all your devices.
Room Tip: Ask for the room which is a little more private than the others, in the sense it has a private verandah/porch and not a shared one like how 2 other rooms have. Of course, if you are a big family and need more than one room, it may be a good idea to opt for the 2 rooms with a shared porch. Rooms are very close to the dining area, which is just about 10 steps away. The only downside of the rooms is that one can hear conversations, laughter, etc from the other rooms!

Network Coverage: Airtel has a weak signal with around 1.5 Mbps of internet speed. Vi (Formerly Vodafone) had no signal. Jio had the best signal and works the best. When I checked, I consistently noticed around 30 Mbps data speed. If you plan to work from here, try using a Jio connection.

Ambience: Extremely quiet (if you don’t have noisy folks in adjacent rooms!). The greenery around is pure bliss. Very cute and cosy homestay. It was so relaxing to just sit on the porch and enjoy the pitter patter of the rains and the birds singing, while having coffee!

Amenities/Facilities: There is a camp fire pit central to the rooms (just outside the rooms) and is used in the evenings when there are no rains. The cosy dining hall has a TV, and has board games, carrom, etc.if one wants to use any of those. This hall is a nice place to hang out.

Food: Absolutely lip smacking! If you love Malnad food, this is heaven! Be it coffee/tea, be it evening snacks, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner, the host and the cooks/helpers do a fantastic job and serve you great food, keeping you well-fed at all times!

Host/Service/Staff: Ashwini is a great host. She knows how to strike a great balance between having conversations with guests, whilst also giving them their privacy. Extremely polite, friendly. She took care of all our needs without any lapse. Her staff is great too.

My only favourite Chikmagalur Homestay that I love ️ to spend time with family and friends.

Coffee valley Homestay is located at a scenic spot which is at comfortable distance from all the major tourists spots in chikmagalur. The host Ashwini mam is the best host one could get while on a vacation. The food and hospitality is top notch. She made us feel like we were at home. Overall we had an amazing time at coffee calley and would defenitely recommend it to anyone looking for a stay in Chikmagalur/Mudigere.

We were 15 people who visited Coffee Valley Homestay for the New Year's Eve and the experience was wonderful. Started 2022 with a bang after a rough couple of years. The stay was great with spacious and spotless rooms. Everyone in our group really appreciated that for maintaining such a great Ambience. The host Ashwini was very welcoming. We never felt like an outsider who was just visiting any place. She made us feel comfortable throughout our stay and served us the most tastiest Malnad style food we ever had. The host always had a smile on her face and never said no for anything we asked, you hardly see that now a days. The food was very delicious with lots and lots of varieties served for every meal. She even made us play games and joined us in our celebration throughout our stay. Everyone in our group felt really happy with the hospitality given to us throughout. Each and everything was well organized and really presented well. We will definitely visit again in coming days and recommend others to do visit it if they are planning stay around Chikmagalur.

The kind of hospitality Ashwini mam gives will make us feel great and gives an impression to visit here again and again. This is my fourth visit to homestay. Right from starters to deserts, I don't think any other homestay can match food here. Every item that they make is delicious and the best thing is there will be no such shortage of food. Rooms are hygienic, clothes used for bed are fresh ones.very flexible with respect to timing of food. One must visit with family.

If a piece of beautiful heaven kisses the earth, it has to be Coffee Valley, run by charming host Ashwini. The estate is deep within the rolling evergreen forest of Western Ghats, a rich world heritage in itself. Just short of 17 km from Chickmagalore town or about less than 5 hours drive from Bangalore, the aspalted paved road, winding through the aromatic lush green forests, provide easy access to Coffee Valley. Once you enter the home, Ashwini welcomes you with her charming smile and you will instantly feel at home, while you settle in the sprawling and well appointed rooms, you are magically transported to fairy tale land of mesmerizing sounds of forest birds and pleasant aromas of the green wooded foliage.

If the home exceeded your expectations, wait until you are pampered by Ashwini's culinary skills where she painstakingly elevates the olfactory senses to another level brightening with luscious dishes such as kadabu, thin akki shavige with sweet coconut sauce, hot rice pressed alki roti with assortment of pudhina & coconut chutney, that should be consumed as soon as the roti leaves the hot pan, freshly plucked balekayee bajji, an instant hit with single malt Scotch. These mouth watering dishes are unique to the region and you cant experience it better than at Coffee Valley. If you have a non vegetarian appetite, I've been told it's nothing short of excellent.

I stayed for two days and I must admit, it is an uplifting experience. The vast bungalow with towering trees and lush green hills literally embrace you, was a sight to remember and forever etched in the memory. As the sun starts to turn orange and soothe itself behind the hill, the forest evening starts to chill your bones. You invariably wander amidst the bed of green grass, surrounded by aromatic flowering plants, where a curated bonfire with sparkle of flame try to reach for the cloud and warms your soul as the 'ibbani', the mystic evening fog starts calming your nerves. As the sky darkens, the soothing melody of birds starts to wane, you will start to hear the nocturnal chirps of the forest and slowly drift into a sleep that you so long deserve.

You might have visited many other home stays and star hotels for your pleasure, but if you don't experience the hospitality and ambiance of Ashwini's Coffee Valley, you are missing an experience of a lifetime.

Amazing food, clean and spacious rooms and serene environment. Perfect stay in Chickmangalur. I would suggest everyone for this place if they are visiting chickmangalur. Nature lovers must visit this place. You can enjoy with family and kids. You can get variety of tasty Veg and Non veg food. Special thanks to the owner Mrs. Aswini madam for tasty food. They make sure that the amount we have paid is fully justified. The rooms are clean & tidy with enough space. Toilets are big with 24 hrs hot water available. The living area is covered with beautiful plants and flowers and they have being maintained very well. Kids have a separate play area and also indoor games to get themselves busy. We enjoyed bonfire too.

This is the place to be if you are a foodie.you will be spoilt for choice. And every dish served is super tasty. Deserts are to die for. For the money they charge it is worth every paisa and more. Cleanest home stay I have been to.from sheets to the lawn. Ashwini is an amazing host. Very accommodating with small requests we made for baby’s food and stuff. Excellent place for a getaway with a bunch of friends or family.we were there for new year and had an amazing experience.

This is the place to stay away from your busy life and get relaxed amidst the beautiful coffee plantation and the serene beauty of the homestay itself with well maintained species of flora. If you want to taste the authentic Malnad cuisine and this is the place to be, I bet no homestay can give such variety of mouthwatering food and the host cum chef Mrs Ashwini, she literally has magic in her hands. She was so accommodative and made us feel so comfortable, we felt like we were in our home itself.

Fantastic place. We had wonderful stay at Coffee Valley homes. Ms. Ashwini madam is master class in cooking simply wonderful provided tasty veg and Non Veg dishes. My kids enjoyed. Beautiful scenic place surrounded by thick Coffee vsllry estates. Nature lovers should not miss this home stay.
