Confident Dogs - Canine Behaviourist & trainer

I found Niveditha via Instagram. I loved her approach and keenly watched all her stories. Then I got a chance to attend her ‘Recall Workshop’. It was one of the best decisions I took. The whole workshop made me an informed, responsible and confident pet parent. It helped me build a beautiful relationship with my dog. Niveditha is a very empathetic, non judgmental person who patiently heard all my concerns. My biggest take away - Dogs are communicating to us always, we just have to learn the right way to listen and learn to think from the perspective of our dogs. I’m very eagerly waiting for her next workshop. Thankyou so much.

The Confident Dogs Team is comprised of conscientious behaviourists. You cannot go wrong once you commit to working with them.

Force handling and tugged at neck collar for obeying commands for focusing. Sometimes yelled with loud commands to get attention and expect petparent to follow same.
Not one on one sessions, and 3rd person/staff invited to observe classes, without prior notification for petparents.
The breakpoint, when my pet wanted to go relieve himself and was held back in above similar way at end of such session for almost 10min, mistaken cue for struggling to get loose to releive his bowels, as disobedience! Repeated requests to hand over my pet or atleast let him free during this struggle, only resulted ego bursts and stubborness from owner/main trainer, to force discipline instead, infront of 3rd observer. Brunt of it my pet took, when set free and had an embarrassed run to relieve himself in corner place there. It has taken sometime for my pet to get over this horrible experience and incident.

It's a pet store with all things good available for your pet Cats and Dogs only. It's an exciting place to shop. I tried the haircut and cleaning service for my retriever. Everything is satisfactory but the pricing is over the roof.
Staff is very helpful and the place is kept well hygiened.

Pixie had a wonderful and extremely useful training session with Pebbles.
Pixie usually takes a quite a while to adapt to a new person but she bonded immediately with the trainer and had they became best buddies by the end. Through the training, pixie remained very responsive and the exercises given to us helped her on her walks and even at home.
Overall I would definitely recommend confident dogs to anyone who needs their dog trained for anything.

When we enrolled Albie with Confident dogs he was a 2 month old, bitey, spoilt cute little brat. Our very first session with Nivedita, we realised that we have made numerous mistakes from the day we got him home. Confident dogs has helped us understand dog training at a whole different level. It is about communicating effectively, gaining trust and effectively training your dog to make choices favourable to you by creating a positive association for those choices.

Nivedita, Samratha and the entire crew have immense love for pets. Every dog’s well being comes first. They go out of their way to check on you and your pet. From the time we enrolled Albie for training we had some unfortunate things happening at our personal end and Confident Dogs accommodated us graciously for all the delays caused in training and in some cases retraining because of the period lost. In all of our experiences, Albie was their first priority and not money.

If you are looking to have a tension free life with your pets, I would highly recommend Confident dogs!

We had an amazing training experience with our trainer Pebbles and with Confident Dogs. Our dog, Barney, a five month old lab has become a well-rounded, well- trained and a confident dog thanks to Pebbles’ guidance and training! Pebbles is a great teacher and teaches us with patience and provides great suggestions to all of the concerns we had about Barney!

Nivedita is undeniable the reason we share such a beautiful relation with our Golden Retriever pup who is now 9 months. We met her around the time when Cookie was approx 5 months old and while we had trained him on dog tricks, there were so many areas we did not even understand related to dogs, or the breed to be able to give the best life we could to our lil pup.

She helped us develop a much much stronger bond with our dog, helped us understand his temperament better, his needs and various other aspects (including and not limited to)
- How to play with our pup
- Tricks & Important commands beyond the basic dog tricks
- Recall training
- How to get your Dog's focus
- Proper socialisation with Humans and Dogs
- Teaching pup to ignore dogs
- What boundaries to set
- How to modify behaviours through positive enforcement methods
- Leash walking
- How to avoid food aggression
- Mental Stimulation
- Importance & ways of socialisation beyond with humans and dogs - surfaces, sounds, weathers, locations, public places, etc etc
- The ideal routine for pups especially as being clingy could be a huge risk with the 'lockdown' puppies
- got us prepared for what his 'teenage' years could look like
The list can go on & On. The biggest learning however was the patience and consistency pet parents need to have to train dogs - without which no dog trainer can do much. Also, Dog training is not a 1 time thing - you keep working on your dogs forever:)

We are still working on Cookie on a couple of things and absolutely enjoy the relationship with him - Nivedita has been the best contributor.

She also went beyond the scope of one one would imagine and helped us with some the best contacts she could possibly give us - on Nutrition, Vets, Homeopathy, Boarding - you name it! My pup is in the prime of his health compared to the constantly unwell pup that he was - only because of making holistic changes to his lifestyle which Nivedita pointed us towards. Needless to say, pet parents have to follow through!

To top it up all, her own lil goofy puppy, Phoebe, is an angel. Don't miss the opportunity to meet the loveliest, most well behaved, yet a playful goofy doggo!

After a few months with her (and strictly following her guidance and tips to the best extent we could), we confidently took our 8.5 month pup for a vacation with us. He enjoyed the mountains, beaches, back waters, best of properties, restaurants, road trips, and company of so many other humans around (without absolutely anyone complaining even once!).
