Even the desert- Tender Coconut Pudding was just excellent.
People are polite though it's always crowded.

We had visited this place before thrice couple of years back and we had liked the food but unfortunately this time we were disappointed as the taste and quality of the food was not upto the mark. Service was quick though.

Food was fantabulous, but the staff can be a little polite and polished. They had the local thug attitude, that's the reason no tips.

If you want to experience traditional local cuisine of Madikeri, then having your lunch/dinner is the prime destination - Coorg Cuisine.
Service is good and quite a comfortable ambience. Wait time is less and food is served hot and very tasty.
Ordered mutton gravy with neer dosas which was coconut based delicious gravy and soft dosas. Alongside tried their special pork chilly which was excellent in taste. Buttermilk was very yummy and thick which made us order for more than the capacity. Lastly beetroot halwa and tender coconut pudding made us crave a lot with definitely wanting for more.

Best place for authentic Coorg foods. Tried pork curry with neer dosa, it was heaven. Chilly pork fry was average. Recommend for local cuisine.

Waited for one hour to get seat. After tasting the delicious food served with great concern, we realised that it was worth waiting. Truly variety is the spice of life.

I had the unfortunate experience of dining at this restaurant, and I must say, the food was absolutely dreadful. From the first bite, it was evident that the quality was bad. The taste was not just bad; it was very bad.

The flavors were bland, and the ingredients seemed stale. Presentation-wise, it was unappealing, making it hard to even consider eating.

It's regrettable to say that I cannot recommend this place to anyone. The overall dining experience was extremely disappointing, and I won't be returning. This was undoubtedly one of the worst food experiences I've had in a long time.

A must visit place in madikeri.
Wouldn't recommend the pork, if it's first time for you.
Mutton, chicken and brinjal dishes were delicious.

You get authentic coorg cuisines here. The food was not bad. But compared to our last visit, we didn't feel that good either. Usually a crowded place.

This is over hyped place, service was not at all good.
Neer dosa and kadampattu was prepared atleast 6hrs before and it was just heated before served.
There are many other good cusines nearby.

Been there today, Food is below average and the owner behaviour is arrogant.its just overly hiped restaurant and the prices are too high. I would not recommend this place to anyone and waiting time is longer. Think before you enter this place.

Authentic foods are available and tasty. Very good management and Caring nature. Clean and best place

First time we tried this cuisine, food was good service is fast and polite staff.
Chicken with coconut gravy was little bland.
Chicken masala was good but chicken need to be fresh.
Chicken peper was overall good.
Akki roti was good
Other rice balls and rice plate quantity was good.
Lime fresh ordered was full of sugar syrup.

It was good authentic food at very reasonable price. The matti curry was amazing. Rest of the food was just about ok.

We reached just in time before last order of lunch and owner was very accommodating.pork dishes were different from what I am used to but very delicious.

A cool place for authentic coorg cuisine. Tried the bamboo shoot curry, akki otti, neer dosa and coorg halwa.

We going for Only Native coorg foods, Bamboo shoot curry is really nice, But pork is very bad, and other coorg cuisines are ok.

This place is not for vegetarians. For non-veg lovers they provide different type of dishes. In all the dishes only coconut curry is available. They don't serve salad and pickle, only food is there. Menu has also very less dishes.

A nice place to enjoy Coorg dishes, though the menu is trimmed up due to Covid and the most wanted Akki Roti is missing without which the side dishes won't be the same. However the chapatis can be considered as a lame substitute.:).

We ordered coorg special curry (bamboo and pork) which was delicious. The neer dosa was Yumm too. I didn't like pork chilli as I found it a little under cooked. We had to wait for good 35mins before we get a seat and order. This was on a Sunday afternoon. I suggest those who are really hungry/diabetic/gerd should consider eating at raintree or taste of coorg which is nearby only coz waiting for 35 mins is not worth anything. The litchi dessert was good too.

Happened to find this place late one night while passing through Coorg. The owner was kind enough to keep the place open for a little longer to accommodate us.
The food was lovely. Enjoyed traditional Coorg pork dishes.
The family that owns the place has a rich and proud military history. Yet showcase it through the beautiful oil paintings on the walls.

Authentic Kodava food. Akki Rotti, Pandi Curry and Spicy Chilli Pork were yum. Couldn't try other dishes. Decent prices too. Friendly staff. Recommended!

Genuine local fare. Spicy by most visitor standards. Try the pork-bamboo curry. Very hospitable service. Easily available parking.

As a Vegetarian I was very skeptical to try the food here as it's mostly pork based Cuisine and I did give it a try. We ordered the Baby Brinjal Fry which was amazing and coconut based mushroom gravy along with Chapathi, Akki Roti and Neer Dosa and also tried the Passion fruit juice. Complimented the owners for serving good veg food.

The food was very good. I had their kodava chicken curry, pork chilli and kadabu. All were very tasty and had traditional flavors.

Awesome finger licking Kodava cuisine which is slightly tuned to the taste of tourists visiting Madekari. Must visit for non veg lovers intrested to taste Kodava cuisine.

First thing we did by reaching coorg is head here for lunch. May look shabby or how ever u call it from outside. But the restaurant is pretty decent. Simple or basic pork fry, pork curry, chapati and rice is awesome.after this hearty lunch we felt we really are in coorg/madikere. We had lichee custard desert.it was really tasty.price is also decent for the taste and quantity.for those who don't know pork is cold for your body.keep the consumption of pork at bay.

Tried out this place after reading good reviews about it. Ordered chicken curry, a chicken starter and bamboo shoot curry In veg. It was no less than pathetic. Chicken curry was blande and tasteless, bamboo shoot was the worse of them all. Water from the curries was finding it's wah to mingle with other dishes in plate it was horrible food. Never visit this place. The owner asked for feedback and when we told we dint like anything he was offended and walked away saying eveyone likes this food.lol. WORST FOOD I have ever had. Waste of money. So giving it 1 star as there no option for 0.

Brilliant local food, small.place run by a husband and wife. Tried the Pork Pandi cur ety, the kodagu koli chicken, kootu curry and akki roti. Full points.

I have tried everything on their menu.pork chops and akki roti is what I liked most. Bella kaappi and passion fruit juice with honey is also recommended.

Akki roti with Pandhi curry is amazing. Great taste. Quick service. Bought 2 packets of their Pandhi curry mix. Have to try making at home.

You will find authentic coorg foods here. Must try place for everyone who visit Madikeri. Located near Madikeri fort. There will be quite rush but you need to wait and bear it.

Had a really bad experience at this Coorg Cuisine. The management took our order as they had only takeaway available for today, but after waiting for 45 minutes they end up saying that the chicken is out of stock and they could not fulfill our order.
It was such a shame, and we never expected this type of irresponsible pathetic and disgusting behaviour from them.
We left the place after that.

Also I would like to thank them because after that incident we went to near by "Hotel Udupi Garden" where we enjoyed very good hospitality and awesome food.

This is authentic coorg restaurant. Taste is also really good. But the number of choices are very limited and the quantity also. But the food was really tasty. You will get good variety of pork dishes as well.

It is a small restaurant in Madikeri in Coorg serving Coorg cuisine which is not known in other parts of the country. It is an old type of restraunt where they still serve those traditional cuisines. You will love Bamboo curry and mutton curry as well as chicken fry. Service is quick and food is served very fast. One thing which I found very nice is that they have displayed big size pictures of Field Marshall Thimaya and General Cariappa who belonged to this region.

Very authentic and really tasty food. I enjoyed eating the flavoursome Kodava chicken and akki roti. Special mention needs to be given for the food packaging. The food is packed with extra plastic wrap so that it does not spill, which is super impressive:)

Had two meals at Coorg Cuisine Madikeri. The food was simply fabulous to say the least. We had the pandi (pork) curry, mutton curry, bamboo shoot curry, vegetable curry and akki roti.
The meat was tender and melted in your mouth, the curries full of flavor and spice. The bamboo curry was as good as the meat curries and a must have if you visit.
The ambience is simple and proudly kodava.
The secret X Factor is their house brand pandi and bamboo pickles as well as their fresh pandi curry masala (which comes with their special pandi curry recipe)

Decent food, good portion size, budget friendly and a clean restaurant. Taste is good but the meat quality is not very great.
We tried chicken coconut curry, pandi curry, pundi/rice dumpling, akki rotti and idiyappam/steamed rice noodles.
The bill amount was about 600.

The service is good. The restaurant is managed by young courteous people and service is super quick. The menu has all traditional coorgi cusine.
There are also a variety of traditional local vegetarian dishes made from bamboo shoot, banana stem.

It's located on the main road, a few parking space available nearby, if you are driving to this place.
The restaurant has a super clean toilet!

Vegeterian food is bad, plain worst of all the foods my wife & I have ate till date. Absolutely bland with a strange smell. I am not talking about coconut smell, it's something else which is bad.

Even if I come for another trip to Coorg, I would never ever eat from this place again.

The place offers court traditional cuisine as the name suggests. The portions are sumptuous and taste very good. Their service was also quite fast. Would definitely go there when in coorg again.

This restaurant is just around the Madikeri fort and has been here for a long time now, serving authentic Coorg food!

One reason why I’d travel back to Coorg would be to relish all this food, over and over again! Telling you this, I am currently drooling over those amazing pork chops (repeated 2 plates)

Fresh lime soda with Honey (Authentic Coorgi Honey) was so very refreshing- this is one the best fresh lime’s I’ve ever tried in my life (repeated 3)

Chicken curry had a very unique taste & was completely flavourful (strong flavour, especially of curry leaves & pepper) and perfectly well with the Akki Roti & Rice Noodles?

The staff were very friendly & service was quick. The guy at the counter asked me to visit again for dinner! ️ Psst, they also sell the Pork Chop masala (₹50 per packet) - I picked 10 because I just didn’t want to get over that heavenly taste ️

I have order for a pork dish but it was not good and it was gone when I called and inform them about the food. But they rudely behaved with me using singular words this is not the way to treat the costumer like this that too I am a coorgi for me only they did like this then what about other's?

Authentic Coorg receipt visited around 3 pm still there is packed and hv to wait for 20min still after u tastes the u will love this place yummy pork fry, akki roti, ghee rice and chicken curry must try food here, very friendly staff, bella coffee is one of it's kind tastes yummy

When we entered the place, we felt like we had entered into some Era in the 70's.
The place has a calming effect and a vibe where time stands still.
We tried their pork dishes and neer dosa which was honestly finger kicking good. Oh! And the black coffee too
Would love to go there again.

The service is really good and the desserts/beverages are a must try but the food, especially the pork dishes did not live up to the hype.
