Cosmo Lodge

A lodge situated in Prime Mangalore locality in close proximity to Mangalore Central Station and Mangalore city bus stop. Excellent for budget traveller's with neat and tidy rooms.

It is close to the railway station but it is also close to hell. One of the rooms that we got had water leaking in from another room's washroom which was a really disgusting experience. Would not recommend. They did not even give drinking water. You would have to purchase from outside or from the fridge they have at the reception. The staff is really backward. I mean really backward in their thinking. You will have to deal with some stereotypical thinking if you are not married and a couple staying in one room. The sheets weren't that clean and the chairs were in a pathetic condition. If you are looking for something that is pocket friendly, this might be your go to but keep in mind, it is problem friendly too. Enjoy your stay at hell. I mean if you stay here there really ain't no rest for the wicked.

[DO NOT CONSIDER] Reasons below: -

1. Rooms are not cleaned.
2. In the bathroom there are lots of uninvited guests like cockroaches and small bugs.
3. The service is pathetic
4. Bedsheets are smelly.
5. Staff behaviour is very rude.
6. There is open ventilation inside the rooms, so safety is the most important concern.

So try other properties nearby.

I stayed here just for a few hours to freshen up I would recommend this place to those who just want to freshen up after a long journey. The rooms are not so clean and maintained, but the bathrooms are clean and well maintained also the room charges are reasonable. The location of this facility is a notable fact almost 2 km away from the Railway Station also autorickshaws are available just infront of the lodge You'll also get Uber services from here. The lodge also provides a limited amount of parking facility just infront of the building. They also provide free Wifi in the rooms.

Good guidance and helpful hotel for all people's. Enjoying the hotel atmosphere happily

My Rating 3.5.

Stayed here 5 days for Temple visits. (Kollur, Udupi etc.)

Charged 500/- for Non-AC Double. Room was good and quite comfortable. (For AC they charge 1000/-).

Lodge quite walkable from Mangalore Railway Station and Private Bus Stand. No good restaurants near by. Most of the shops here close by 8.00 P. M hence plan accordingly.

Room Service person doesn't know any other language other than Hindi, but the Manager speaks English well. You can contact him directly.

Drinking Water Provided is very Average as it is just a TAP water.
Soap and Towel were provided as amenities. TV with TATA SKY has few regional channels, but you will get free channels of other states also.

No lift facility. Hot Water is not up-to the mark during early mornings.

The BAD & WORST part of my Stay is the BED. As mentioned in other reviews, It totally ruined my sleep. Out of 5 days i slept on the floor for 4 days with the blanket provided to avoid getting back pain.

One Star less for the Awkward BED.

Will recommend for SOLO travelers as it is pocket friendly. No idea about Family Rooms.

Since i visited all the temples as planned my Overall stay was fair and OK.
Will STAY again only if the BED is changed.

In a nutshell, it's equivalent to holding your nose for however long your patience can hold.

I'll divide this review into good and bad:
Good: Receptionist is soft and we'll mannered, attender/cleaner is nice.
Location is the best part. It's near bus stand and railway station.
Bad:
Maintenance- Do not even think of staying here for more than a night as some of the rooms smell bad. I had my room changed 3 times as the first time it smelled of cigarette smoke, having complained, the second time the receptionist had bungled up and given me a double bedroom after which when I was sleeping he interrupted and said the people who made the reservation had already come. Really upset about that and finally got a 3rd bedroom which.well. Was terrible.
The bathroom doesn't look like its ever cleaned, there's hair and cigarette in the drain, the bathroom has a pungent odour which is very nasty, and the window in the room never closed which meant somebody from outside could open it. Huge security problem.
And Note: No hot water at all inspire of the staff claims.

Here's the thing, i won't exactly "recommend" this place as its more like always doubt lodges which are 500 and below.

Good budget friendly hotel. Rooms & Bathrooms were clean. Good staffs. For food it's good to order in Zomato or swiggy. I had to catch train early in the morning but no cabs were available at 430 am so walked.its near to Mangalore central railway station. No lifts available so better book ground floor if u hav any problem. Hot water available. Rest all ok

The service is good, the room is looking good but the condition of the bed was poor. I didn't get proper sleep because of the bed in single room 208

Not well cleaned, fully dust, webs, bed was not comfy, it was making noice and very hard to lie on that

Price was good. But the matress was really bad. I could feel thr spring in the matress. Wasn't able to have a good sleep. It's a couple friendly hotel. You just need to give your ID

Affordable and very clean. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. The place is near to the center of Mangalore. It is near to many tourist places. Recommended budget stay.

Good well maintained rooms. Both A/cC and non A/C rooms are available for reasonable price. Over-all experience was good.

Terrible lodge. Rooms are stinky, no hot water. Decided to switch to different hotel after checkin

Service is so bad that I don't have words to express. Person at the counter doesn't have manners to speak with customers. I was visiting a friend of mine and he spoke so rudely on the phone with me and later was not even accepting his fault. Such a bad experience I had, wouldn't recommend the place at all.

It was okay there was food giving on time but AC and T. V was not working but still I was pretty satisfied

Affordable, worth for money.

I stayed there for a month as I had an elective in Mangalore. The staff was super helpful, the rooms were adequate and budget friendly, the location of the place is perfect to go around the city and there's a nearby mall that has everything for shopping, cinemas and even a supermarket (SPAR)

Small room. Uncomfortable room settings. Untidy. Ants on cot and cockroaches on the floor. Untidy bathroom and complicated door lock system But the staff behaviour was good (the only thing I found was good)

It was ok. Bed was comfortable enough. But pubic hair in the shower drain, i have allergies to dust & the dust was thick on yhe window behind the bed mostly but seriously needs cleaning. Room was small & no air & stank of cigarette smoke. However the people were so lovely & extremely helpful. Soap & a towel is provided. Just need to move the bed & give the whole place a hosing down. Pass some time away instead if sitting doing nothing!

The rooms were good and the price was expectionally great for what they had to offer.
Also, it's hardly situated less than 300m from the Forum Mall.

Good, reasonable accommodation for a short visit. A few shops outside offers good breakfast in the morning.staff is supportive.

Decent hotel. Close to railway station and bus stand. Very helpful staff. Only problem is the bed size. A double bed cannot accommodate 2 people. Rest everything is ok.

Wasn't really a great experience. I had booked a double bed non AC which was abt 700rs and on arrival we had to wait for quite some time since we were given another room which just got vacated. It's not that I am impatient but we had an important appointment and was short of time and having pre booked a room it was disappointing. Apart from that the room given was disastrous and completely awful as you can see in the images. The water in the bathroom was impure. The room ambience was too bad and we had to shift that day to another place. Will not try this place again. I can't comment on other facilities because I didn't use any.
PS: There may have been better rooms in the lodge but my review is solely based on my experience so I wouldn't genearalise it.

Lovely place.pretty good location. Polite staffs, friendly and very helpful. Clean rooms. Good for business and family stay.

Very good support from the staff. 24 hours basis for check in and check out. Easily reachable from central. New building. Budget for family. All are plus only, need to find any negative aspects, room is small, but enough for family. We stayed two days. Near by veg restaurant available, auto stand available. Private bus stand to Udupi is very near. Value for money.

The ground floor room is mosquito infected.
The staff is 5 star rated.
5 star for the location, being close to railway station and pvr cinemas.

Good place to stay. Value for money. Giving 24hrs check out time. Owner and staff were well behaved. Rooms are well maintained. Only bad point is too much smoke smell in the room.

Stayed for 1.5 days & I was charged for 1.5 days. Never heard any other hotel doing this. Rooms were clean & staff very supportive. Will stay here again next time too.

Rooms are tidy and Clean. Only thing bothered you is massive mosquito's. Suggest hotel to add good night refill to each room

Super friendly straff, recomended place to eat, helped me with book my bus ticket to Pune. Definitely value for the money, if you’re ready to spend more it’s possible to get better accommodations but this is the most valued hotel I’ve been to in India so far

I searched a lot of hotels nearby manglore i never found any rooms cheaper than Osmo, i thought the rooms will be bad but i UNDERESTIMATED, the rooms are NEAT AND BEAUTIFULLY MAINTAINED. Manager in Osmo is soo friendly and helpful. I suggest everyone to take rooms here, you feel pampered

It's neat and serves the purpose. One good thing is that they don't have a standard check in and check out. Well maintained.

Lodge very close to the railway station, one km can be walkable.
Price are very low cost. Neat clean and tidy. But very small rooms
Towel and soaps are provided.
