It's the oxygen generator for Bangalore. It has thousands of trees which makes this place very cool. It's a best walking place for people staying nearby. It also has benches to sit and relax. Food is actually restricted, but people come around with their boxes to have food.
Rooms are a bit smaller than it appears in the photos. Service is average, not so great but not even bad. Staff is professional, task oriented, but not friendly at all. Location is plus point. It's situated right on the main road in the Manipal Centre complex close to MG Road. Good for short business trips, but average for a family trips and longer stays.
Recently, I came as part of my project requirement. My Company had booked me a room in this hotel for a three days stay. The stay in this hotel was awesome and every moment since entering the Hotel gate was cherished. Let me highlight a few unique happenings which made me speechless and enjoyable throughout my stay in this hotel.
The persons employed there seemed to be very happening and down to earth, which refreshed me. Starting from the Hotel Security to the room service person, the customer service was great. The persons appointed there clearly explained the Hotel layout and proceedings and guided me until I got settled well in my room. The room service was perfect and the employees there were very punctual for all our calls.
The Hotel had all the required amenities neatly maintained. The gym available there was very good and there were a lot of cuisines available in the dining area. I didn’t like few cuisines but overall, the food was decent and manageable. The cleanliness of the Hotel was amazing. The Hotel offers all our needs, and we need not run out in errands for getting something. On a whole, my stay was simply perfect and highly recommend this hotel.
Rooms: single, double & double deluxe - all rooms are good. Towels, Bed & pillow covers are neat. Quite decent ventilation, hence, no pungent smell. Water supply is good. Hot water is only between 0500-1000 hrs.
Service: call by bell system. Every floor has a supervisor and room service boy. Very friendly staff.
Location: this is a best part. Walkable distance, within a max of 200 meters from Majestic railway, majestic metro station & is about 50 mts from majestic bus stand. Travel time to Trinity metro station on MG Road is about 15 mts & to Yashwantpur railway station is about 25 mts. Needless to say, a lot of hotels, small eat out joints, travels are within few meters reach.
Fare: with all the plus points, another best part is the pricing is pocket friendly. There are many hotels in surround at low prices, however, keeping in mind the room quality, service quality and location/connectivity, I would say that their pricing is fair.
Being a regular business traveller to Bangalore, and this being the very first time I stayed at Hotel Mayura, it has become my future boarding & lodging destination at Bangalore for my business travel.
Never ever book the standard rooms, they are in a corner, smell so badly, and are tiny, barely enough space for one person. Their service also is extremely slow and need two to three calls before they get you anything. Water is RO water from a filter, and I guess they didn’t get the memo that RO water isn’t healthy. The worst of all is that they charge for plates, which 4 star hotel charges for plates. Ridiculously bad. How this passes for a 4 star hotel is beyond me.
Perfect location & cosy rooms, but services has to be improved a lot, right from frontdesk to f&b services. Especially the team @ breakfast at the floor has no clue or experience on handling the crowd, terribly slow & erratic service.
I just wanted to bring 2 terrible incidents in front of the higher management team of Royal Orchid Central.
From the beginning had a bad feeling about booking this place because before when I booked and stayed here they had a better review score but now after staying here I understand why it is going down!
It was a terrible experience from the beginning, when I reached at the hotel after making the booking online, they confirmed the booking and allowed me a room. When I unlocked the room I realised that there was someone already staying in the room because they had their luggage and clothes all over the room. I was in shock and thought for a second that I made a mistake and stepped into a different room than the one which was allotted for me, which was not the case. They gave me the key to a occupied room!
When I approached the front desk they were all chill about it as though it was pretty normal. Imagine me being a girl stepping into a preoccupied room! What a terrible experience.
Second terrible experience was when the housekeeping person opened the door without any permission. She rang the bell and as I was in the restroom I couldn’t answer or open the door and she just opened the door!
Again when I checked with the manager at the front desk Mr. Zaheer, he said it’s pretty common in business hotels.
As they say it’s never bad employees, it’s only bad boss. With the manager’s attitude I understood why this place is going down. A manger in service industry has no clue of what service industry is and how to communicate with the customers.
However, the room, food and service was decent for the price but would i recommend it? Never! Due to safety concerns. In the event of anything going wrong I don’t think the manager or anyone will take any responsibility and would give you a cold shoulder and tell you that it’s completely normal in business hotels
I am still staying at the hotel right now. But I really wanted to post this because of my experience here and I unfortunately paid already for my whole stay. The reception staff are so lethargic, they don't care about anything. They work in their own pace how much ever we request them. No proper room service from them. And infact they are charging for plates if food is ordered from outside WHICH IS RIDICULOUS IN A STAR HOTEL. I have spent more than 12k for food apart from my stay but still they ask for money to provide plates. However it is unnecessary if I have paid for food or not, but as a star hotel they need to provide these basic amenities. Charging for that is very cheap of them. I should have really believed the reviews and taken some other hotel. But just because it was Royal orchid and a 4 star hotel I believed in them but guys whoever is reading this, please dont take this hotel. They are not 4 star not event 2 star. So book better hotels.
We recently had a Birthday party for our 4 years old daughter and the Staff made our experience beautiful. They are helpful with each and everything. The food was awesome, mild in spice but good in taste. The place has enough parking. Awesome people can create awesome experiences.
Property is in the city and easily reachable to MG road. Property is not maintained properly, and service also was not that great. Bed sheets and pillow cover was used by somebody else. It was not changed. I have requested them to change it at around 10am but I had to wait till 12am (midnight) and multiple follow up.two times I had to go to reception to ask them to change the uncleaned pillow cover and linen. No electric kettle in the room.
Courteous staff, and a very comfortable stay. Make sure to try out their Club Superior rooms and you won't be disappointed by the cozy feeling you'll get! Situated in a prime location, the property is a 5 minute walk away from the bustling Brigade Road, about 2 kms away from Commercial Street and a short drive away from Indiranagar. Would definitely recommend.
The hotel is located in central business district of Bangalore. It has all the amenities including well appointed rooms, banqueting facilities, bar and restaurant. Most convenient for business travelers.
Okay so irrespective of whatever everyone says, my experience was horrible as I took an auto to travel and all he did was roam around the boundaries of the park. I did not get to see anything.
Mostly this will be the last stay in Royal Orchid hotels. I did feel I'm staying in 4star hotel. Especial this one. We could clearly see lack of maintainance and poor service. Lot of stains on the chairs. Odor of the room is too bad, I got head ache within 10minutes of entering the room. We have taken club rooms, not worth the cost they are charging. Completely disappointed.
Just ok. Slightly overpriced. Dinner buffet is below average. Breakfast is good. Building is old and rooms are decently maintained but floorboards have started cracking.
Attended a family get together here for our relative's birthday Great place and the food was fabulous. First time I felt vegetarian food overpowered non-veg. Veg biriyani is a must try. Kadai paneer as well. White pasta not too good.
I don't know what's there to review in this place. It's just a stand where the band plays their instruments while some procession or parade is happening. It's exactly in the centre of cubbon park close to high court. It's surrounded with lush green lawn.
I was told my room was sanitized, but it definitely was not. None of Charging ports in the room worked, when complained they said they will send someone but didn't. In the current time, where most professionals work from home, Wifi and electricity is considered a basic amenity, this Inn failed to provide that. Their cafe claims to be round the clock, but is not. This Hotel is one big fake advertisement. Other than a beautiful lobby, nothing about this Hotel is 4 star. At the max, it is a 1star stay. Will recommend anyone looking to book a stay here, DONT
An amazing gigantic place with so much greenery and variety of terrain! There's so much to explore and see I guess the only drawback is the lack of sufficient entry points making us want to sneak in through a break in the fence XD And to top it all, its dog friendly
The room was very conjustable. And bathroom are not clean and there is no air freshener and tissues in bathroom. And No water bottle and fridge was not working. And the staff also will not respond anything properly. Very important thing is Please change the lady who is in Pinxx resturant she doesn't have any knowledge.we have taken a package deal in that dinner was included she is telling us its paid dinner and she handover the bill. Later we checked with the receptionist and cleared her doubt. We paid the money there no privacy at all. She will be back of the guest only that how much they are having it. Very disturbing lady worst experience ever.
One of the oldest buildings in Bangalore. One can find all facilities in the hotel and it is in the heart of the city. Would have been nice to see some pleasant faces if not smiling faces in the entire building being in the hospitality industry. In the pinxx one new girl was hospitable and friendly
No option to give half a star, understaffed, basic facilities not available, they don’t have a ironing board and iron! It is a 4 star property, laundry service sends back clothes packed without ironing, have stayed at places much smaller, cheaper with better infra Do not go there you will get cheated, at one time this was probably a good property but now it is ILL maintained and completely falling apart. Think they are surviving only because of the attitude of the housekeeping staff and restaurant staff who smile are nice and try to provide good service amongst the humongous limitations of the hotel infra literally falling apart at the seams!
We checked in at a reception that was broken down. All the walls had stains and paint peeling from them showing that the building was extremely old and in need of renovation.
We were taken to our floor by the elevator to see the dingy hallway connecting all rooms. The carpet looked like it had never been cleaned or vacuumed. Even the ceiling had patches of dampness as you can see in one of the pictures.
On entering our rooms we were met with a dusty, old room. As you can see in the various photos the room is in desperate need of cleaning and a total furniture change. Only the bed was acceptable but the quilt and pillows had small stains on them. The bathroom was also in a terrible state but unfortunately I could not get any photos of it.
To top it all there was almost no social distancing being followed. During the breakfast hour the elevator was filled with people to the point that everyone was touching each other due to their close proximity. Also unfortunately during my time staying one of the two elevators was not functioning because of repairs. However this is not a reason to not put a sign to limit the number of people entering the elevator. In addition I also found the lift door to be dangerous on two occasions -1. When it hit me on the side and 2. When it collided with my mother head which could have been dangerous.
The food was nice which was given by the hotel restraunt. Also the all the staff were fine and easy to talk to. One person whom I really liked was the security guard who was in charge of keeping watch of the hotel entrance and taking in and taking out all the luggage from the rooms in the hotel alone.
Experience of staying here does not even deserve one star. At the very first day I got locked inside my room for one hour due to some lock fault and the receptionist told me that I don't know how to operate locks
Only one elevator works so you have to wait for long for your turn.
Intercom of common area doesn't work so if your key is not working your 15 min gone
Receptionist will pick your call only 2 out of 10 times.

Extremely disappointed with Food at Royal orchid central. Had booked for dinner for 15 guests- but they had to order and wait for starters every time, food was stale/cold which we did not expect from the hotel. Worst of all we had stomach upset overnight due to the food.

Had made a booking but canceled the room and ran away. The pictures you see are for a room which is charged 3500 plus. It's worse than a roadside bus stand lodge in cleanliness. Very bad place to visit. My stay there was really drastic. Wash room is totally dirty, leaking is there infront of room, itchy bed and service very bad. Response from Reception is very bad. Since we came night we stayed there. Next day morning we checked out and another room (we had two room both were dirty) we checked out at 12 pm without staying inside the room just to keep luggage only since we came for visa purpose. It was really horrible we didn't slept and we didn't taken shower afraid of corona.

Amazing place for morning and evening walks. This is an place where you can go, sit and enjoy chirping of birds and enjoy the beauty of nature. Mesmerizing beauty of nature can be witnessed during the month of March and April.
Rooms doesn't even have the standard of a 2 star hotel. I still can't believe it's rated 4 star. The room stinks and makes you feel like you are at a hospital. Toilet, bathtub, floor all have stains and the sofa has so much dust on it. Lift feels like you are at a construction site. I don't understand why there isn't any maintain ence done. Breakfast spread, well I can't call it a spread as there were hardly anything. This was the first time I saw a 4 star having just gulab jamun as dessert in the breakfast spread. Except for the people being polite to you while talking, I seriously didn't see anything positive. Hard to digest that it's part of Royal orchid chain.
My husband and i stayed in Royal Orchid Central, Bengaluru from 17 to 19 september. We booked a club room with breakfast. Our first impression seeing the room was, that this is not at all what we paid for, looks completely different from the pics on MMT app. Room was smelling of fungus, as if closed from several months. It was a small room, and looks pretty old as well. And room's washroom bathtub handles proved that (it just came out when i just touched it, without even putting slightest of the weight). Basic amenities were missing in the room, fridge wasn't working. Slippers, towels were not there. Water bottle when asked for 2, the hospitality refused to give, that only one can be given. Weird, right? Any request placed over phone, whether for in room dining, fridge repair, house keeping, everytime it took 40-45 minutes. Hospitality was not upto the mark; male receptionist was lacking basic etiquettes to attend the guests. Food in the Pinxx was again a big disappointment. Service was extremely slow. Use of excess oil in, some items were not well heated, and juices were not colder enough. Overall, only a namesake 4-star. No maintenance seen for stars. I wouldn't rate it more than 1 and won't recommend it.
Big and beautiful park with lots of greenery around. They don't have any entry fee. One can roam around walking or on cycles. Also good for running, jogging, playing games or simply talking your pets on a walk. They also have state central library. Photography using professional camers is prohibited but can click pictures using phone. Karnataka High Court is located on backside with beautiful staircase entry.
The reviews here made me want to go to this hotel but it wasn’t like how it was portrayed or praised. I dunno if it is cause of covid or what but this place had a really really bad experience. The tub was dirty while the water was clogging in the sink, informed room service he came, he saw, he told he will come to repair but never showed up even though we kept calling but no help in the end had to go down to reception but even after that nobody showed up to the room. The AC wasn’t working so the reception offered to provide a fan instead. People come to hotels for ACs and a fan is not the same. Literally was sweating in the room. The towels were dirty. The fridge didn’t work. No sanitizer provided in the room. When asked to provide other room they kept saying we are preparing a room but never got back to me even though I called multiple times. Really bad service and a very bad experience. It is a very highly rated hotel hope they improve their service.

Me and wife had been to Manipal center MG property, At reservation we got keys of the room, but no one helped till the room. The room which was given was so pathetic it was not cleared for the next guest. I.could see condoms on the floor, cigarette ash.very bad experience that too my first visit. I forgot my CK shades at room n did repeated follow up but still no response for the team. I need someone to look into this Cox your help desk is not helpful.

More than being a hotel of its own, this place is a landmark of Bangalore mainly because most of the buses leaving the city have this place as a starting point. The hotel in itself looks quite dingy, and the surroundings are not clean as well. There are other places in the area if you're looking for a place to stay so this place is best avoided.

Very good place with lots of trees. So it's a cool place. There are all kinds of people, from family to couples. You can also do a potluck which is the most I like it to do here:) overall a good place for gathering.
We went there for a picnic on 1st Jan 2019. We had a gala time. We recreated the childhood memories. The park is so beautifully designed and maintained. It is very clean. The mornings are generally prettier over here. People play badminton there. There is a special place for pets. It has an amazing view of Vidhan Saudha.
This is right at the Kempegowda Bus Stop Terminal 1. It is very easily visible from the main road and the bus station.
Room is decent for the price paid. Bathroom was clean. Service was okay. They provide accomodation only and no food. However you can order food online from services like swiggy, zomato, foodpanda, ubereats etc.

It is exactly located on the other side of tank bund road opposite to APSRTC and TSRTC and terminal 1 of (majestic bus stand) Kempegowda Bus station. It's very useful for the tourists, business men and visitors of the neighbouring states as well as north Karnataka people who visit regularly Bangalore. It's a budget hotel. Market place is nearby.
The park is quite but little busier today being new year day. The parking is an issue and we need to pay for that. The garden is full of greenery and has a small pond which is not well maintained. It has a huge area and well connected to the roads and lies in the heart of the city. Time can be spent well with families. Interconnected roads are also there in between the park. It also has child park which needs entry fee. Being a crowded day we couldn't enter the same and will try some other day. Really a good place to have silent times.

Cubbon park is a memorable place for me since my childhood. Some trees are still standing from my childhood. Only 50% might be planted new. More trees and more greenary is required with Public's support as it is used by all.
Nice open space for walks. Children can enjoy the open space running around. Rides are reasonable rates but the train ride area requires maintenance. Toilets and garbage on the sides doesn't look good.
A very huge park. So big that you may get lost! 3 Metro Stations are near to different entrances of this park - the cubbon park Metro Station, Dr. B R Ambedkar station and Sir M Vishweshwaraiah station. Filled with greenary, many people usually come for a picnic. People are often seen bringing their dogs for a walk or trying out their new sports equipments like skateboard, etc. Many get togethers are also conducted, given the space for it. The central library is also present there. The only disadvantage is that you will have to create your own entertainment here. Otherwise, it's just acres of open space.
Average cheap rooms with excellent staff service. Single rooms were not available when I checked-in, so had to stay in a double room. Nothing extraordinary about the rooms, though bathroom was below average. A good option for anyone looking for a cheap room near Majestic.
Being the chain hotel it has to be good. The reception looks like a hospital entrance. Rooms are pretty good but not well maintained. Scratched tables and dented tiles. Buffet place is quite a tight one with very less capacity. Service is good rather really good. I would give 3.5 as the overall rating. For early checkout they provide you with the worst packed breakfast. Not at all worth the amount paid Counted 10 pieces of watermelon which they term as freshly cut fruit, tetra pack of any juice and a sandwich.
The hotel looks good. And the restaurant on the top floor is worth the visit.
Decent place to stay near MG road. Staffs are polite. Buffet breakfast has good varieties. Maintenance could have been better and especially in the end of the corridor rooms. Overall good but not great.
I did not stay at this hotel. I attended a session here and hence this review is focussed on the location of the hotel, facilities and the food provided there.
1. The hotel is very close to the happening places in Central Bengaluru and is quite easily reachable. 2. Parking was not an issue in the hotel. 3. The nearest metro station is about 0.5 kms away. It's the Trinity metro station. As the metro frequency is good during the day, travelling from here via metro is not at all an issue. 4. Food provided in the session was cooked within the hotel premises and was vegetarian. However they do have an in-house award-winning Chinese restaurant there which caters to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian guests. 5. The taste of the veg food was excellent. 6. The servers were very helpful and patient and utensils used were neat and clean. 7. We were also provided notepad and pencils for taking notes in the session.
What could improve - soup was a little watery, can be better.
Royal Orchid Central simply spoils by the vatiety of the breakfast that it offers complimentary. Centrally located and a decent hotel for business trip.
A bit annoyed with the customer service for being a old hotel in city center and renowned brand. More expectations for the price payed for such an hotel.
Came here to attend a classroom training. The arrangements were good and the hotel staff was very friendly. The waiting area was pretty decent with cosy seating. The hotel has 2 restaurants with some really economic lunch options on weekdays. On a crowded day parking might be a challenge here.
OKish rooms smelling of smoke. Poor lighting. Have weird policy of 5 half litre water bottle per day per room. Anything more than that to be charged. Seriously not a place to stay with such high price.
Very poor follow up service, wouldn't recommend the chain for Business guests and Corporate contracts. Have spent weeks waiting to get bills and invoices from them. Extremely frustrating Reservation and Accounts team
Worse hotel i've ever stayed in. The photos you are seeing are fake.they are claiming it 4 star hotel. But isn't even 2 star. Actually it doesn't deserve any star.
Wasn't clean. Bathrooms are old and filthy even toilet seats were not clean. Bath tub was choked. Neither Taps were working properly nor showers. Air-conditioned rooms. Hunnhh. You can't breath properly in those rooms because of lack of oxygen. The staff is lazy. You will have to clean your room your self. Oh. The wifi. It wasn't working also. The IT guy came to my "various" rooms many times but it didn't work. Stayed in the hotel 3 nights and more. Didn't change the hotel only because of my host. Who booked this filth for me and paid. I didn't wanna spoil his wedding. There was a foreigner guest with me. He remarked the hotel saying: "it's licence should be cancelled". And one more thing as I mantioned "Various rooms" I changed three rooms in the hotel because of problems which were occurring every day. And all rooms were futile. And I saw many people at reception engaging with the staff in quarrels because of the problems.
Oriental restaurant had good momos.ads of the hotel seem to be taken 20 yrs ago. Minibar was tampered with. Cup was cracked. Spoon was corroded. Corridors were dirty and not vacuumed - saying the vacuum cleaner was out of order. Curtains were dirty. When we ordered two hot chocolates - room service, they brought one teacup n saucer and when we Asked for another the guy ran next door and got a coffee cup. Indian Breakfast was good. Continental breads were poor. Rooms smelled musty n lots of pigeon poop on window sills!
I was in here for a 3 days Business Training. The place is quite spacious, and the view of Bangalore from the top couple of floors is amazing. Staying on the 5 floor kept the nose away probably. The room I stayed was an usual one bed room, again big enough with all essentials. Bathroom was okay. It all seemed a little old. AC was noisy. The place has restaurants and bars. The bar on 10th is something to look forward to. It overlooks the Ulsoor lake and everything in between is covered by lush greenery. Enjoy your drinks though assortment is average. Food quality is okay at best. Nothing much to right home about. Service is good though, people are courteous, present without appearing nosey. Overall an okay experience.
Well, where do I start from now? I had booked a room for 2 and specifically mentioned about giving me a smoking room. Despite that, they gave me a room with two single beds which were ultra uncomfortable to sleep in. After much argument and pulling my sources, they finally shifted to another room. The room was not up to the mark at all (don't go on the photos, I click good pics). One of the days, one boy just conveniently enters my room without my permission and knowledge where all my expensive belongings were kept along with my money. To justify hisql act, the house keeping lady in charge teaches me to use the placards despite the switches indicated for privacy which I was already switched on. Food is good although the spread could have been better. The hotel is not at all easy to locate. It is inside of a business center. Overall - bad experience
The location is subtle, at the centre of the city. The food at all the restaurants there are top notch. The service and hospitality is super cool. A must try location for family gatherings, social meetings.
Good ambience n taste. Reasonable rates for buffet lunch as compare to any restaurant ib MG road area. Recommend people who want to have meals to visit once n enjoy.
The hotel rooms are nice with all the basic amenities as well as some of the extra stuff that includes safe lock as well as a mini refrigerator with the basic eating and beverages. The bathroom has a bathtub which was the plus point actually because you don't get to see bathtubs in many of the hotel rooms no matter how much you pay so yeah that was one of the good points. The breakfast buffet was very good the options and the varieties in the menu was good. The hotel has a separate floors for separate the requirements like a dining just for lunch dinner and breakfast buffet a meeting room floor to conduct all the kind of private or any kind of meeting that you want for your organisation you just need to book the law and an open area floor to enjoy the party or to organise one. The only cons is that the windows are locked the windows are glass Windows and sometime you might feel a little claustrophobic and you have the urge to open the windows but its locked with some kind of metals we cannot open them but view is very good.
The property has most of the importance facilities with courteous staff, however you can't call is huge. The breakfast buffet is nice and wholesome. The rooms are nice with clean bathrooms. They also given a iron and ironing board for quick ironing. The only thing which was lacking was that the room looked slightly wornout showing signs of ageing which should be case for the standards they maintain.
The hotel is nice with friendly staff. The food is also decent. However, the biggest negative is the location. It's in the middle of a commercial complex without clear directions or navigation aids.
It's budget accommodation option in Bangalore. Great location - walkable distance from Bangalore train station and majestic bus stand. It's only rooms. They have room service for food. But it's adviced to look around for food.
