Cuckoo Hostel

Lived here for 3 months so far and continuing.
Given the price, I felt this place quite comfy to stay long-term. Accommodation is good. You get to meet people from diverse backgrounds. Manas, the owner of hostel, is managing the place very well. Location-wise, hostel is very close to food joints and bus stations. Common areas are well spaced.

Pathetic place. Extremely unhygienic in present condition. Rude staff. Booked for 3 days and left first day itself after the pathetic attitude. Felt I was staying in hostile place. When I reached there there was no one to even open door. Stay only if you need cheap place just to sleep and not much of hospitality

Home away from home. This is my go to place in bangalore for short to medium stays. They are very accommodative and help you with just about everything u need in the city.

From where Do I start. Hostel is completely opposite to what shown in the picture. The pictures they have added are way too old. In reality it is not anywhere near to it. Place is not hygenic at all. Even in kitchen you will see cockroach everywhere. Property is not maintained at all. Apart from location there is nothing positive about this place.

Friendly staff, clean hostel, clean toilet, decent wifi, good sleep quality. The rooster next door is annoying.

There is nothing good i can tell about this hostel except for the pricing. Even though I had mainly selected the place for the location, it was quite satisfactory. I've stayed in alot of hostels all around Bangalore and this is the only one that i was really dissapointed in. Reasons being,
- the photos are deceiving
- the property was not maintained well
- the washrooms need a touch up
- the hosts were not very welcome compared to other hostel hosts I've interacted with.
- and the most dissapointing reason is the ventilation. With the global temperatures rising it's evident that temperature at Bangalore too is rising and this was not kept in mind by the hostel Mangament.
I LITERALLY HAD TO TAKE CUSHION AND SLEEP ON THE FLOOR as i could not sleep till 4 in the morning due to lack of ventilation. Even though I was sleeping on the upper bed, The fan was useless.
Definitely not recommending this place to anyone.

It is a functional hostel set up which provides most of the promised amenities. My experience involved checking into the property & checking out in a couple of hours. The main reason for my exit is that the place didn't have proper lockers with lock in a Deluxe room I booked.

The location is super good, 2-3 mins walk from Sony World signal.

If you are looking for a hostel set up to meet folks & interact with people you will be in for a surprise. There are a handful of rooms, and there are long term tenants occupying some of them.

I don't have much to complain on the general cleanliness. The property didn't work for me, but I'd recommend you to give it a try if you are used to staying in hostels. May work for you!

The pictures are deceiving. Washrooms are not maintained well. The beds are clean but they don't have individual fans. There's just one fan in the middle, and maybe 2 of them have individual fans. The rest don't. So during the night you'll die out of heat and is very uncomfortable. Price wise it was a steal, but I wouldn't suggest going there.

Cancelled my reservation of private room on last moment, and then lying to the Hostelworld to hide theor mistakes. They have not even bothered to even communicate further with me apart of the email to asking me to cancel the reservation a day before my check in. Extremely poor and Low level cheap ethics.

I conducted a workshop at Cuckoo Hostel & I must say it was such a delightful experience. The space is really cozy and comfortable, with a lot of greenry around. The team is super cute and helped me all through the process with all the arrangements & they really know their stuff well.

Would 10 on 10 recommend it to anyone looking forward to host a small comfy get together: D

Very well - located for those visiting Koramangala, close to the party places/ eating joints nestled in one of the lanes.lot of smoking/smokers, also smell of weed, loud music is played, room (s) very different from pics, pics are a lie.it is located in a bungalow area (6th block) in Koramangala 6th block where a small bungalow has been converted into a hostel.low priced

Such a wonderful host and hostelmates. Situated at the heart of kormangala, this place is very calm at the same time happening. If you are fun loving person and enjoy making friends, this place is for you. Will definitely stay again.

I never stay in the city is when I am travelling. This was the first time I opted to stay in a hostel when I was travelling to Bangalore for the first time. I was very much sceptical about this but after spending just one night at this amazing place I did realise it was not a bad decision. This is one of the most happening hostels in the heart of Banglore city. I met really amazing folks and be friend with amazing people. We are planning to come to Bangalore and cannot find a place to stay this is one fine place I would suggest to anyone and just after spending some time you would be easily be able to figure out what all you can do while in Bangalore.

Warm and cool hosts, home and hostel, individual and shared spaces, white walls and black art work, this place is a mix of everything we need to express and be ourselves!

This is a ok ok place, only benefit its location. Non smokers will not like it, coz every one is smoking here and smoke smell is everywhere.

If you have budget constraints, but you want to in middle of the city then you can easily opt this one. Rather than going to the hotels in Majestic, Kalsipalya, Yeswantpur or etc.rather than book online it will be better to call them directly and book the room. By negotiation you can get better price.

An amazing space for creators and explorers. The management is superb and offer out of the world Food.
Good option to meet new people, offer and attend gigs. The layout of the space is very interesting. There are three main dorm areas on ground floor and first floor with access to the terrace. The common area is big enough to practice dance, host gigs or a small get together. The space is pet friendly and situated amidst the most vibrant area of bangalore. A must visit for anyone visiting bangalore.

Great experience, the only hostel in banglore which has great artistic vibes. Will definitely come back once the lockdown ends!

Fantastic for bag packers and comfy zone for stopper across the world. A unique place with unique experience and a unique host. I SIMPLY LOVED THE CUCKOO HOSTEL

Pretty average hostel. The drawing hall seems to be okay and a fully equipped kitchen is present. The washrooms aren't clean enough. Bunk beds are available on daily and monthly basis. Food is also available on order. The staff is helpful. Overall one of those places to stay for an overnight or two and not more than that.

I loved this place, seriously! The vibe you feel here is one of the best ever had in a hostel, we celebrated the Diwali all together and had a wonderful time cooking a proper Italian dinner with the staff and the other guests!

The WiFi works great, the common areas are spacious, the bed really comfortable and it is one of the few hostels where I could finally enjoy a hot shower. The breakfast was also really good, it's a 10 easily achieved!

Great location, things like the Eat Street, a big mall, decathlon and McDonald's as well as many restaurants are at a nearby walkable distance. Anything we needed was just right there.

We have a new family in Bangalore and we will sure come back soon!

One of the beat hostel experiences you can have. The place is located close to many cafe, a Bus stand, yet secluded enough not be get disturbed by ongoing traffic. The staff is super friendly, especially Manas (Magic Manas) you can ask him for any help and he'll mostly oblige with a smile. The rooms are clean and not too crowded, just spacious enough. Most people staying there are friendly & nice.
Overall a great stay.

Went here for a photoshoot as they rent out their common rooms for shoots. Found it very quirky and there were a lot of books to go through. Nice people to chill with and so was the owner

This place is been booki previously for the alcohol and the drugs addiction, the person who arrange this place is a Crook. This is the cheap and easy access to outsiders. Never go to this place it's been full by the nurdss and the fools u will not get a good people hanging over here's

Extremely dirty and unhygienic. People are sweet but it's just very filthy. The pictures online are a lie. Stayed in much better hostels which are cheaper than what these guys are charging. That money is not worth it for this hostel. Would be never recommend it to anyone. Stayed there one night.

Very Quirky and fun loving space where you can share talents and stay too if looking for a quick visit to Bangalore. I attended a session once where it was an open platform to share whatever talent you have. It was very enjoyable.

Cuckoo hostel reminded me of backpacking movies as the first two words that hit me there were- connectedness and network community. The price for a bed in a dorm is 500 per night. The graffiti and the nooks and corners of the community are pretty and welcoming. The bunch of dogs who hang out around the hostel only make the place better.

Nice and cosy little play with some nice people. The dogs are interesting, but there's one that may bite:)
