Deep Woodz Estate

Amazing experience!
Surrounded by lush green forest and coffee plantation it's the perfect destination to beat the summer heat. The estate is surrounded by amazing potted plants full of flowers (it looks like a small flower nursery).

We stayed here for 3 days. The estate comprises of 30 acers of coffee plantation and you have the freedom to walk through the thick plantation. The food provided was delicious. The host is an amazing person. The Wifi is just ok. The room was clean. The balcony from the superior deluxe room was awesome as well. Could hear the sounds of the forest. I felt refreshed after the experience! The water pressure in the restroom was great and the geyser provided a great experience!

Since we stayed over the weekdays, we were the only guests and every meal seamed like a private meal:)

Suggestions for improvement: I would suggest to buy new linen and maybe flatten the path to the estate from the main road. Also, make sure that TV remote is working before customer checks in. Some light fixtures were broken and not repaired.

For the budget, I will totally recommend it for everyone who wants to explore a coffee estate and eat excellent Coorg food.

Amazing very beautiful place. Must experience at least one time here. I love this place. Rooms/ cottages are very neat and clean. The property is well maintained. When I reached here I was changed my mode for stay from 1 night to some more nights. Food is too Yam, you will definitely love it. It’s purely home made food, you can ask to add more or remove spice and Oil as per your wish.

We were 3 families with a kid, while we visited this place. Owner is really friendly and kind. Property is bit secluded 《exactlywhatwe needed》but rooms were amazingly. Food too was great. I do recommend this place.

I had a very bad experience with this homestay, the room we stayed had unhygienic toilets the curtains in the wash room was formed with fungus and room had no TV, night lamps and the ceiling is half done, when it comes to food that is much more worse than anything in that property. The entire stay was a unpleasant experience and never ever I experienced so far in any other trips. The homestay is run by wife and husband with unprofessional staff who are generally a worker at their coffee estate.

We stayed here for 2 nights, fantastic home stay in a coffee estate. Run by a couple, very clean and well maintained. Please try local pork curry and rice. They also sell spices. Good place for a group with kids.

After doing a lot of research we decided to visit Deep woodz and the stay was worth every penny. The hosts, Mr and Mrs Harish were very hospitable. The staff were very cooperative. The room was perfectly clean with ample natural light and ventilation. They provided all day hot water supply to the bathrooms. Private sit-outs for each room is available. There is room for improvement with the taste of food while the quantity and variety was decent. The arrangements provided for the drivers stay should be made better. The premises is very well maintained and is quite close to the city as well.

Amazing place to stay. The place is so calm and serene. The food is absolutely tasty and the hospitality by the owners is fantastic. Would love to stay here again!

Absolutely awesome place to visit, beautiful cozy cottage. Amazing home made food and great views. Would come back any time. So peaceful that you can hear nature singing all the time, and Thanks to the owner family for such a good hospitality.

Pros:
Serene place for a home away from home stay.

You'll be surrounded by a beautiful and colourful garden as well as aromatic coffee and pepper plantation.

Away from sound/ smoke pollution and will be surrounded by fresh cool air with birds chirping sound.

Breakfast is included with the package however lunch, snacks and dinner will be prepared on request.

Cons:

Tv was available but just as showcase and no channels were subscribed.

Decent homely food (Mediocre and limited food varieties though) if you expect any coorg cuisine you'll be disappointed.

Geyser didn't work on our second day (at least could have arranged for a hot water as a timely help)

Overall the stay was peaceful in the middle of lush and colourful garden with homely atmosphere

Deep Woodz is very great place to chill.

It is more than a Homestay.it's deep inside the coffee plantation.

Room is more like a resort or hotel but personal touch from owner makes you feel like you are in the homestay.

You can play Badminton, Basketball, Cricket.they keep rackets, ball, bats.

Owner maintains the garden with lot of flowers.you can see well use tyres, household plastic containers. They have two dogs.so kids love it.

Owner family manages all the things with the help of staffs.

You can go out for small hiking with kids nearby and enjoy the stream.

You can visit Sunset point in nearby estate. Talk to the owner and visit the place.

Do visit Chilipili Temple which is also nearby. It's a Shiva temple with natural water stream.it's village temple so won't find any rush.

This homestay is for chill-out for few days.

This homestay is having good wifi in common area.almost 25 Mbps.even phone network is better compared to nearby estates. So good for remote work.

We already stayed in nearby estates like Nature Craft, Chilipili. But this is really better.but others are little economical.

Overall I would recommend you all to visit and stay for minimum 2-3 days.

A beautiful place with extremely calm and lush green surroundings. The rooms are very well maintained with all utilities functioning. The hospitality was spot on with the amazing food being served along with the snacks and coffee on request. I enjoyed my time here and will definitely recommend the homestay!

The worst experience o drivers don't provide food to driver driver go to food for a 10km for food the worst home stay

Aesthetically pleasing. Even a basic food menu would be appreciated. Id suggest, carry your own food and enjoy the stay.

It's truly a Homestay with a homely plus close to nature experience away from the busy city life. We loved how the owners family were so involved with everything and took care of us as "guests". Even their staff were friendly and warm.

The best part was the Healthy and tasty food, (especially the black masala and pork curry) all cooked straight from the owner's kitchen by his wife and team. Only downside is their tasty snacks are very overpriced. I've never paid so much for onion pakoras in my life!

The rooms had a wonderful wooden cabin feel with an awesome balcony looking out to the coffee plantation. The bathroom had a unique sky window on the roof continuing the inside-outside theme.

The road to the homestay can get tricky and i was nervous for my car and the location seems far from all the places you'd want to see. However, the homestay itself was worth it.

Overall, I would recommend this stay to anyone in a heartbeat. The owner Harish even dropped a note to checkin on us during the current pandemic. We will be back as soon as possible!

A serene place away from sound and pollution amidst mother nature and accompanied by great host. A place to enjoy, a place to live and a place to visit again and again. Beautiful place, superb host and delicious food that's how I can define this place.try to spent whole day here and relax don't include any sight seeing while staying there, I even purchased some nice spices from here, they don't display or advertise this I asked bychance. They even had home made wine and jam also

Beautiful & scerene place to stay. Luscious greenery, and clean rooms & surroundings. Professional & welcoming host. Breakfast is good, but meals could be better. (I would suggest they keep south Indian thali).

The property is very well maintained and decorated with a plethora of flowers. The place looks no less than a botanical garden. Rooms are very neat and cosy.it definitely is DEEPwoodz!

Location: 5/5. Closest to Maragodu, roughly 20 kms from Madikeri town.
The property is surrounded by coffee plantation and their garden is very beautiful.
Rooms.: 5/5. Very comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, all the essentials provided in the room along with a balcony.
Food: 4/5. The pork preparation, veg and other sides were great.
The staff and the Owners were friendly and took great care of the guests.
There is coffee powder, pepper and Cardamom for Sale. Also available are home made wines and coffee Liqueur.
The quality of the products on sale is Excellent.
I would definitely return to spend more time at this property.

Was a well deserved break and what an amazing experience, The owner Mr Harish was the best host and the place is so beautiful and serene away from the din of the city, couldn't have asked for a better home stay, not forgetting Ganesh who made your stay amazing with all the crazy requests and was served with a smile always
