Dinard Bed and Breakfast

It's a nice quaint place in Udupi, but it's better to have your own transport as it's away from the city and public transport is difficult to get.
Rooms are spacious but can be maintained better, restroom are a bit old.
Food is ordered from outside and very limited, the taste is bad. Swiggy is available and you can choose from there.

The beach is a short 5 mins walk from the B&B and is very clean and well maintained, not crowded either. It was amazing for a quiet walk in the night and morning.

Status as on when I visited in Nov, 2023.
Good and clam location. Easy to reach. Beach is just few meters away.
Gated resort. Neat and clean environment.
Staff were co-operative and kind.
Complimentary breakfast was limited.
Rooms are clean, well designed and contains all the facilities that are required.
Pantry was very neat and maintained well.
Food delivery available from nearby hotels via zomato or swiggy.

Nice place but over priced.narrow path to reach the Homestay.
As a rule Only 2 items served in breakfast and too changes daily.so depends on the mood of owner.

We faced security issues as there is no strict access restrictions. At around 12 am there was a continuous attempt to open the door with heavy attempt on door knob.when we confronted the staff the made excuse saying it was a cat.as as expected they did not showed the cctv footage.

@owner I know you will make some excuse for my issue too, as you make for others. No problem, I don't care.

Updates after 3 weeks of original review.
After I posted my review here, there were few mail exchanges between me and the owner. I asked multiple times to share the cctv footage of the main door to support the incident as the owner claimed nothing had happened.
But he did not shared.rather made derogatory claim of our origin saying this is not bangalore or UP.

Unexpected, as he clains himself to be an educated person

The location of this home stay is absolutely amazing. There are not too many places around Udupi/Malpe where you can stay on the beach. Food is an issue. They make arrangements for breakfast in the morning but we did not have a good experience. Second morning we actually are breakfast outside after checkout. Rooms are quite big and most amenities are present. They do not provide toothpaste to avoid plastic waste which is commendable.

Dinard Bed and Breakfast is an absolutely amazing place to stay in Udupi. With Thottam beach at walking distance and backwater adjacent to the property, it is truly a wonderful place. The cottages are spacious, clean, and have all modern facilities available. The caretaker, Ahmed is a nice and helpful person, always ready to assist the guests. The breakfast is simple yet delicious. For lunch/dinner, they get food from a nearby restaurant and it is delicious. The property has 5 cottages and is well maintained. There's a children's play area as well. The owner, Mr. Vishal is a such a gentleman. For anyone visiting Malpe, and would like to stay away from the hustle and bustle, this property is one of the best options. If you don't have a vehicle to roam around, they can arrange for an auto. Overall, great place to relax, chill and enjoy.

Clam quite and clean place near sea beach, Service and host was good. Don’t expect direct sea view from room.

This place is heaven. Right in the middle of idyllic wilderness and small village, this offers private beach access. We were pleasantly surprised by everything. Nothing comes close to this is entire udupi. 5 star experience at reasonable price

Dinard Homestay is a new beachside property. We were greeted with much hospitality! We got to spot peacocks in the close vicinity and enjoyed walking on the Thottam beach. The property has all required amenities, it has a beautifully maintained lawn & garden, and friendly staff.

Dinard Homestay is a sepctacular beachside property. It has all necessary amenities for a comfortable holiday. The location is scenic and the rooms are comfortable. The staff is responsive and hospitbale. I'd recommend this to my friends

The premises is at an arms distance from the beach and is at a splendid location but you need a 4W to get here as it is quite remote. The resort provides food/ dining facilities from a restaurant nearby. We were two families who checked-in and had a memorable stay at the Dinard.

I booked this resort from MMT, however later I found that MMT charged me more than the actual tariff, had I walked in directly.

Dinard is a new resort and is well maintained, I hope that the same standards persists over the years to come. I wouldn't think twice to book this resort again if I plan to come back to Malpe Beach. I'd give it a 5*

Food can be improved but you can also order from Zomato as per your need so no problem at all.

Peaceful and well maintained place with a beach next door. Food was good. Enjoyed the stay. Definitely will recommend. The owner has put great effort in building it. The workers greet you with love️

Apart from the place being a little inside the main road. The place is best. Have its own garden, private beach, seafacing property, breakfast also available.
The attendants were also very polite and handled guests properly and calmly.

I am going to give an honest review of the resort. I stayed there for 2 nights and 3 days in a cottage and believe me it was the best experience to stay in this resort in Udipi. This resort is having a private beach and is close to Malpe beach almost 500 meters by walking. The resort is well maintained and has a great staff Chethan. The housekeeping staff were very nice, they cleaned up the cottage really well. Breakfast is Complimentary.
You can see peacocks in the resort in ealry mornings.

Very bad experience during booking. The manager was rude. He increase the prices after taking advance and ultimately cancelled the booking. On our request to honour the booking even after agreeing to pay higher prices then agreed as we were expected to arrive a day after, he said “it not my problem “. We have to book a hotel. One star for him refunding our advance. I have previously read other reviews pointing out the rude behaviour, we neglected that and paid for it.

It has only 5 rooms available but the place is extraordinary.hygeine rooms.very near to beach very clam and peace full place.

It's just off the beach, rooms are clean neat and we'll equiped, with smart tv nd wifi. The the room service is tied up with a hotel but the food there is excellent. Breakfast isserved butis nothing special.

This place is very beautiful and has a really good ambience with a beach view. Rooms were clean and spacious. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for an nice vacation with family and friends.
