Lot needs to be done. The road condition is awful. Cleanliness requires overhauling of the entire place. No wash room facility. Pathetic changing room for women.

Nature, temple, place everything is good but people who visit the place has spoiled it to the max. Those who come for shraddha karma leave thei cloths after bath. Because of this a huge pile of cloths have been stored at the bank of river. Local people/DC/Temple authority must take some severe action against it.

People visit here to perform rituals for the elders. We had a good experience visiting here and performing the rituals. Cleanliness can be improved.

Very good spot, tailor-made place for Shardha functions. A clean meal diligently becomes task two.

Beautiful place with cauvery river flowing nicely, good place to take bath in the river. Asthi visarjana is not allowed in th ghat.

There is a Kashi-Vishwanath temple at this Ghat on the river Kaveri where most of the traditions relating to respecting the elderly who have sought abode at the Heavens. This is also a place where lot of annual or other ceremonies are done at peace without the rush / hawkers who create a terrible experience during the grieving process.

A great and old place.
People have to maintain cleanliness.
They drop their old and some new clothes due to inappropriate advice of priests.
Priests have to be kind to mother nature and river.
They have to advice to people a good behaviour of not throwing clothes in river.
Maintain the cleanliness in the premises of this ghat.

Beautiful place to spend your weekend away from city life. You can take train or bus to avoid driving 3 hours from Bangalore.

Visit the river and take a fine bath spend much time possible then visit goshala. You can also note money to feel the cows.

This place is crowded when we visited due to Pitru paksha. Lot of structures have come up on the banks of river and sanctity is lost.

River are unclean since people wash clothes throughout the stretch. Mentally of citizens should change towards water Rivers are life line of the country.

One of the sought after place for dispersing ashes in the river Cauvery. The place is fast becoming crowded with more & more people coming to perform last rites. There are many priests who are regulars, help to perform the rituals at a very reasonable charges. I feel it is time some body set up a clean place to provide lunch for the visitors at an offardable price. Presently one has to go to SriRangapatna to get clean, good food.

gosai name itself tells it is known for doing poojas like shraadha, pinda pradhana, ashlesha bali pooja etc.cavery river flowing water current towards sangama and join with lokapavani river.there was very peacefull at evening.lord kashi vishwanath temple is there.in south India this place is known as dakshina gange.very greenery surrounded flying beautiful birds that all gives heaven vibes. But very bad thing is local authority is not maintained clean.

Unless it's time for ancestor rituals it's better to avoid this place. Its no longer good for other activities

For the place it's full marks but for the visitors, people should learn to be more responsible and learn to maintain the sensitive bio diversity of this place. Food leftovers, dirt, anything and everything should not be thrown into the river. I urge everyone to maintain this place as pristine as possible. Don't expect the government to do everything without doing your part. It's also important to exercise caution at the river and be warned, the current under the water is very strong.

We come every year here for Panihati Chida dahi festival. There is wonderful river bank to take bath and temples to visit.

Calm and peaceful place. Was Not very crowded when I visited. Place is clean and neatly maintained. The water force is very high, due to heavy rains, so it is adviced not to bath in the river. Police and gaurds are constantly watching and warning us to be safe. The toilets are clean, and they charge 10rs per person.

The place is still un touched by the so called modern facilities, though a little bit cluttered, the kavery water was clean and flowing at a good pace, so be carefull if you wish to take a bath there, the narial pani (raw coconut water) was as fresh as it can be, a must consume item after the rituals, I like the place and surrounding natural vegetation

On the whole good. It would be better to provide some more boxes for dress change, esp for ladies.

Dodda Gosai ghat is where you can play with water. Water will be flowing most time of the year. Lot many people come here to do pinda pradana here.

Lot has changed compared to 10 years I had last visited.most divine place with lot of Shiva devotees.

Nice Lunch from Brahmins family paid 125/- for full meals on bananna leaf.

Wanted to perform yearly rites on the auspicious occasion of mahalaya amavasya. Very appropriate place with resources and economical too.
There is a ghoshala which is an added advantage!

Dodda gosai ghat near banks of Kaveri river at Sri Ranga pattana, Kashi Vishwanath temple and Goshala are in this place, all the facilities are available for performing pooja /Havan etc.

Once a beautiful and divine riverbed, now a dirty, shabby and commercial picnic spot, covered with plastic waste and food waste. Most of the portions have been polluted with solid and wet waste by picnic going people. And moreover, it ts not safe nowadays after a lot of unlawful incidents have occured.

The place is famous for couple of things. It very near Kasi viswanatha temple.
Firstly, people arrange poojaris and come to the bank of river for performing Kalathra dhosha pariharam and pithru tharpanam (ancestral offerings). But travellers has to arrange it well in advance.
Secondly, the place is more serene and can be visited for cauveri river bath. But during the season waterflow is high recommend travellera to stay near the steps and take bath.
There is no specific parking lot traveller has to manage by the road side. Also, more than a km it kachcha road had to drive slowly.
There are couple of restaurants towards the srirangapatna main higgway. Offcourse they are standard restaurants to rely on but manageable.
On the other side of the srirangapatna and Mysore highway there is permal temple Rangnathar can be visited (worth visiting)

Dont even think of having a peaceful picnic.people just go there to ruin the environment.enjoy the place.dont destroy its beauty.historic and amazing place

Place is good to burn the heat. No parking fee. It is situated interior. This place is bit polluted, since the water flows nothing much to bother. There is no much sign board to reach so it's better to us GPS or can take the localists help, those who will be visiting for the first time.

Very beautiful place on the banks of river Kaveri. Good place to play in water during summer season. Very less crowded compared Nimishamba temple and other sightseeing places in Sriranga Pattana.

Located on the banks of one of the tributaries of cauvery river in srirangapatnam. It's the place to immerse the ashes for the last rites. Clean and with adequate water particularly during monsoons. Do be careful as the current is very strong. Use the thepa, a small round boat which can seat 4 people to go across. They charge 300 buts it's safe. Large car parking available. Close by there is an ashram which serves traditional food after performing the last rites.
