Down Town Pub

Downtown is a Bangalore classic that has been given a full make over. It's become our go-to neighborhood bar. The service is excellent. All of the staff are well trained and warm. The food has a decent range because they serve food from their American Diner themed restaurant that's above the pub along with a separate pub menu. It is affordable which is increasingly becoming a rare trait in our beloved Luru. All in all, it's minimal, warm and welcoming. All the ingredients of a perfect unwind.

Revisiting this place after a decade felt like strolling down memory lane, evoking a wave of nostalgia. Despite the renovations and updates to the menu, the familiar vibe remained intact. Clement, our attentive waiter, orchestrated the dining experience flawlessly, ensuring timely service and offering excellent dish recommendations. Downtown remains a must-visit spot, with the only critique being the portion sizes of the dishes, which could be enhanced. However, the availability of Toit beer on tap was certainly a highlight. Kudos to the Downtown team, and a heartfelt thank you and shoutout to Clement for his exceptional service. Now they also have DJ nights Recommend to visit when DJ Sawanth play their it's out of the world experience.

Nice chilled out vibe with a pub menu and an American style diner menu. Food was good and so was the service.

Staff is not friendly, he doesn't know how to talk to a customer.

It's a very old pub. Still frequented by many. Even though so many other pubs hvae come up nearby.

Staff should be more polite and should listen to customers rather than keeping themself busy elin chitchatting at counters.

Waiter Mr Pandeji's service is pathetic. No service interest at all. Very bad attitude towards customers.

I heard they brew their own beer here. They have one plus one during happy hours too! The draught beer was the best. Probably the best I've ever tasted. It's smoothly brewed beer that's not diluted like they do in other pubs. Doesn't have the environment of a party kind of a pub with a huge screen TV, EDM music etc. It's quiet, dark and dingy and personally, that's the kind of place I'd go to with my buds. The food is good too. For the price they offer, the starters always tickle your tongue to order more and it's not going to cut holes in your wallet. Definitely recommend this place if you like a quiet, private place to have the best beer ever brewed and order some munchies while talking about good 'ol times!

Best place for people looking to go back to the 70's 80's feel. The ambience here makes you feel like you're back to old days. The staffs here are elder by age and they greet you very good and be friendly with you. Been visiting the place since 2011 (my college days) And please try avoiding any conversation here with any unknown people as you might find those kind of people even (our personal experience what we faced here) Incase they do try ignoring them in a nice way or alert the staffs if it is going beyond. Otherwise a wonderful place affordable by price and lovely food. Please try the lamb pepper or shredded lamb here with a beer (when available) There's no valet parking here so you might have to drive few meters away to find your car parking or anytime better to park it at pay and park basements due to tow away zones at this particular road.

One of the old pubs in downtown Bangalore. It's for a causal beer catch-up with friends or for the hard drink. It's bit old time place, but if the mission is for talk with friends, it shouldn't matter. Don't expect great food or service, but it's a cheaper option in the heart of the town.

Probably one of the oldest pubs in Bangalore. I had been I'm guessing before 8-9 years. Back then though, the music, ambience and crowd was really good! At present though, it just like an old tavern - random crowd come in. I like to visit here though, as it is very pocket friendly during happy hours.

Nice service with good ambiance, food & Hospitality. Recommended for corporate team outing.
