Hi All, I am writing this review after 1.5 months of surgery and my mother has fully recovered. My mother was having swelling below the ear and she was taking homeopathy medicine because she thought it is guilty. When swelling started increasing rapidly and also started getting pain in that area then she got serious and went to Varanasi Sunderlal hospital. There my mother was diagnosed with warthin tumour in parotid gland on right side and I was like clueless bcz when you hear about tumor the first thing comes in your mind about cancer. I am working here in Bangalore in IT firm so I called my mother here and did some research about the warthin tumor and also searched for good head and neck oncologist bcz I knew it has to be removed through surgery and there is no other option. I went to Aster CMI hospital for second opinion and there they confirmed for surgery. Then I was searching for hospital where I can get cashless facility bcz I have corporate health insurance for my mother but at the same time doctor also should be good. Then I read the review for doctor Akshay and made my mind to meet him. I went to Cytecare hospital and met him. He explained everything and assured me that everything would be fine and also made my mother comfortable because she was worried and tensed. Dr Akshay is a good doctor who has deep knowledge in his area and good person too by nature. He was always smiling whenever I met him and answered my questions.
Finally he operated my mother and now my mother has recovered completely. After surgery there was a small problem happened that saliva was coming out form stitched area during having meal. But doctor assured me that it is quite common after operation and will go away after some time. But I was worried bcz the amount of saliva was coming out during meal was huge. But as doctor said it disappeared after 4-5 days and now my mother is all ok.
One more thing I would like to call out that doctor made incision behind the hair line not the jaw line so that scar should not be visible and this shows how much knowledge and experience doctor Akshay has.

We had a scarey scenario and journey when we met Dr Akshay Kudpage for my mom aged 72 years. She had one of the rarest of the rarest tumors in the throat around the food pipe, airpipe and sound box. Dr Akshay suggested the removal of the tumor. The position of the tumor was in a very sensitive location and we were very reluctant to go ahead with the surgery. Dr Akshay's confidence and detailed explanation of the complex task gave us, our family and other doctor friends the confidence to goahed.
The surgery was performed the tumor was removed and there was no complications whatsoever and her recovery is in process. Infact she has recovered much faster than expected. She is able to talk, eat and move around like before.
