Highly over rated oncologist, a doctor who cannot warn about blood clots when a catheter is placed in a cancer patient and alert the team of surgeon/docs to align treatments based on cancer, there are gems in the onco field in bangalore, and he aint one, just media hype

I have had bad experiences with Dr raj vigna venugopal & Dr amit rauthan. We approached Dr Amit Rauthan for my Fathers Cancer treatment. Doctor clinically Knowing the fact that the patient cannot be recovered from the Last stage of Adenocarcinoma, they made us believe that the second line treatment will work and made us to go thru pain full treatment (Physical Pain my Dad had to under go and expensive medicines, Expensive diagnostics) with continuous false hopes.
We made them clear that my Dad should not undergo any pain with the procedures that they suggested, however despite of their promises. My Dada had to suffer sever pain due to stenting in his stomach. Dr raj vigna venugopal kept on promising the pain will come down and he kept on running us between pillar to post with more diagnostics procedures and Dr Amit Rauthan kept on with second line treatment medication despite of patient worsing condition and the pain.

Dr Amit treated my father from 2018 to 2022. Unfortunately later we had to move on to a different city. Below are the pros and cons of the doctor.

Pros 1. Very much expert in the Medical oncology field. I have myself seen him handling referrals from other muti-speciality hospitals in bangalore. 2. Very much soft spoken and well mannered. 3. Timeliness 4. Emergency oncall number is well managed and Doc Amit is available for feedback if required. 5. Gives valuable guidance to patients.

Cons: - 1. His schedule is full packed most of the time. So there can be delays in appointment (but this issue looks sorted these days). 2. The unit is run as a one man show so he is the soul and whole of the oncology unit. Incase he is on leave than you need to wait unless emergency.

I will say the pros outweigh cons any day so go and consult him if needed.

I’ve been consulting with Dr Amit Rauthan since February 2020 and he was my guide and strength since then and to date. When I was diagnosed with lung and brain metastasis, his positivity and belief that I will make it was contagious. I refused to believe anything else! Dr Amit guided me right from Radiation therapy to Chemotherapy sessions last year and then shifted me to Targeted therapy after he saw drastic improvements. He’s always just a message or email away and his team has also been fantastic in responding to my emergencies, questions or any appointment related issues. I highly recommend him if you are looking for an expert oncologist who will be your strong arm in the fight to get through this. I thank him wholeheartedly!

I am not satisfied with chemotherapy treatment. They treat patient as machine. I lost my father 2 years ago under dr nagaraj palankar and dr amit rauthan treatment. They were only experimenting on my father with different chemotherapy dosage and tablets.
