My mother had a deep cut at her elbow for which she needed stitches. We went to the doctor he put a bioadhesive (apparently new to market to replace stitches). The doctor seemed good and explained well at the first visit. However the wound he mentions hasn't healed even after a week taking multiple visits for dressings and not allowing the attender also to take a look at the condition. What intrigues is why hasn't the doctor taken a call for stitches in the second visit/ atleast give a referral. We have wasted one week keeping the wound open and surprisingly we figured out he doesn't stitch open wounds more so when the wound was at the joint where the adhesive clearly doesn't work. The wound is still open and big, and we are left to seek for a surgeon help now. Highly disappointed with this experience and shocking that doctor or their facility aren't equipped to stitch a basic wound.
