Dr. Kamala Unnikrishnan

Dr Kamala is an experienced gynaecologist. However visiting this clinic is not a pleasant experience for me. I had visited her for my pregnancy. Dr Lalitha behaves like we are uneducated and responds too harshly for certain questions. They charge on par with any big hospitals but the service/ waiting/ doctor experience is not worth it. She suggested me to stop working at 8th month pregnancy and exercise for normal delivery. However in the end convinced me for C Section as she was not available in town for my due date. There are better gynaecologists in Whitefield.

25 years ago she gave me a vertical c section when horizontal c sections were the norm and due to which I could not have a second child and still suffer from consequences due to the huge uterine scar.

We would like to Thank Dr. Kamala and Dr. Lalitha for their services rendered with practicality, right decisions, knowledge, care and responsiveness.
They serve a number of patients, there happy ones do not post reviews at all times but the sad ones will definitely post reviews.
We started consulting them from 17th week of pregnancy and never we felt that we are out of track.
Prima Diagnostic Center and Dr. Ramesh as suggested by them are good enough in terms of service and cost.
My wife's pregnancy was complicated and even though we had to go for a planned delivery, it turned out to be emergency. During those times of chaos and panic of getting admitted, these doctors had clear communication with the hospital and on sharp time as mentioned by them they reached the hospital and carried the C Section and everything was right.
I think experience of them plays a vital role. They do not follow the modern FASHION of conduct but it seems that those traditional values comes a long way.
We also thank staff of their clinic as well.

Treated the medical condition very carelessly and unprofessionally and gave meds which made it even worse and had to suffer for 7 days. Went back to her but she started to give wrong explanation for everything. Told me that the problem will heal by itself as it will take some time even upto a month's time. Wasnt satisfied by her explanation so Had to go to Cogent near coffee day and get proper treatment. The doctor there was very attentive and understood my problem right away and gave me the meds which made my problem go away in 4 days. Total money minded doctor. Tie with prima lab and RK. Beware - she would send you for expensive tests there. Always keeping a smiling face is not just enough, you need to have some professional first hand medical knowledge to treat any medical condition. Most of the good reviews here are from people who went to her with simple medical condition or pre natal care during pregnancy. I guess its time to retire.

Excellent doctor. Always smiling. Very positive in her attitude and super duper confident. With her love for life and over 40 years of experience, one can surely trust her with any concern and she comes as an angel to all our lives. So humble. It's rare to find such doctors like her.

Worst ever! We went to Dr Kamala Unnikrishnan for my 74 Year old mom. She diagnosed her with a prolapsed uterus, and suggested a vaginal total Hysterectomy.
Sent us to Prima for expensive tests
Sent us to Dr Ramesh at RK clinic. This consultation was not required.
Then gave us options at columbia or rainbow. We picked Columbia on the date decided by her.
After admissions and underwent additional and repeated lab work to the tune of Rs 20,000/- Only at the last minute, she came and stated "she was not in any frame of mind" to do the surgery. Her frame of mind cost us money and grief. She has asked us to admit the next day.again for surgery in two days. Who knows what her frame of mind will be or how much it will cost.

I had taken my reports to Dr Lalitha, as Dr Kamala out on leave. She refused to even look at the x-rays and stated she doesn't read those.

I think these two are not viable and should retire gracefully. Yes they take on low-risk pregnancies and convert a few into a decent experience.but do far more damage to patients who need help.
If they did not want to take on my Mother's medical issue, they could simply referred us to someone else. We would have got the care required.

Columbia Asia Whitefield too is now questionable for their association with her.

Worst doctor ever, who is only money minded. They normally suggest you to visit prima diagnostics for scan and again the scanning at Prima is pathetic. They normally give wrong info. If there is vaccum space, it'll be detected as internal bleeding, and this Dr doesn't even cross check the reports properly. Thr is one more lady with her who is Lalitha who is not a gynecologist, yet they prescribe unnecessary drugs which are expensive and dangerous just for minting commission.

Worst experience with this Doctor. I doubt she has any experience.she ruined my first pregnancy. My pregnancy had some complications which was ignored at intital stage due to which I had complications in my 8th month and had to deliver baby.my baby was in icu for 23 days because of her ignorance.also. She changed my hospital at the very last moment from columbia asia to rainbow hospital.
In rainbow she introduced us to one of the doctor Dr rajath, who was intrested in money making only.
The other issue at Dr kamla is the waiting time is more than 1 hrs.

Was consulting her when I was expecting my son. She is very knowledgeable and has a very positive attitude. She’s always smiling and makes sure to put your mind at ease. She has over 40 years of experience and takes time to answer all your queries and doubts patiently.
Had an unpleasant experience with another gyenec previously and that was the reason I started consulting Dr. Kamala. She conducts yoga classes too. Would definitely recommend.

We had worst experience, we didn't got enough information. Completely disappointed and for Rs. 600 its completely worthless. Even they Gynaecologist thier advice is not matured level, hence not-recommending.

Dr Kamala is well experienced, listens to the patient carefully and gives enough time for each consultation. She consults along with Dr Lalitha at Whitefield clinic. Very pleasant experience when we consulted her for our first baby

We had good experience with the doctor. Unlike others she spends time in clarifying any doubts the patients has.

My son was born on 28th Jan'18 @coloud nine, normal delivery.

From the day go I consulted her and visited at her residence in Whitefield. She sits along with doctor Dr. Lalitha (who is again very senior gynaecologist). They come from old school of thoughts and patience. Give each and every patient their desired time of consultation never rushes thru. So I like her motherly approach of dealing with me.

However my delivery was unplanned but post the delivery she came all the way to Domlur colour nine to meet up with me.

Good experience doctor I suggest to everyone who wants to see gynaecologist please go to Dr Kamala and Dr Lalita both are well experienced.

My wife second pregnancy we are consulting Dr. Kamala and Dr. Lalitha and experience is very good, so far we are fine, only I felt bad today as we were waiting since 1hr to see the doctor. Some other patient came and said it is very emergency (I believe at this clinic there is no emergency department only consultation) reception staff immediately allowed without even asking people who is waiting from past 1hr it shows known people can go inside with all these drama. I don't think it was an emergency it's just usual drama to see the doctor without waiting like others. It is not acceptable. Please make sure next time dont waste our time.

Dr Kamala Unnikrishnan is a very famous and experienced gynaecologist in Bangalore. We consulted her for our second baby. She is available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 4: 00 pm to 6: 00pm. She also practices in Indiranager. She have tie up with many hospitals in Bangalore. She is very energetic and active and always have a smiling face. Gives solid advice and courage in difficult situations. She is very knowledgeable in Hindu dharma and spiritual subject.
