We had two cottages for 4 nights between 11-15th August. The cottages are good for the price, location is excellent, you can hear the river flowing next to the property all through the night. Daytime becomes happening with loads of tourists arriving to visit the famous Elephant Camp but by 6pm the place gets deserted. Food at the restaurant is very tasty although pure South Indian food. We enjoyed the food which has to be ordered by 6pm for dinner. Now the best part is the owner, Nishant, a 27 year old boy who gives his 100% to the guests. He was always on his toes to keep us happy & was multitasking at peak hours. If ever we do return to Coorg again, we would definitely stay here again. We wish Nishant all the luck for completing the remaining 5 cottages which got stuck midway due to Covid lockdown. Will recommend this property if one is not star struck (it's not a 3 or 5 star property) but the pleasure of living in nature is invaluable.
We booked two cottages for 1 day in the first week of August. Rooms are beautifully located. Nice and basic interior. Away from the crowd. Very warm host. Food is super yummy. Both breakfast and dinner were awesome.
The host is very helpful and any help will be available immediately.
I recommend this cottage to whoever wants to stay away from the crowd amidst the sound of river stream and enjoy the Dubare closely.
Stayed with family and in-laws at Dubare Inn between 10th and 12th April, 2023. Loved the ambience of the cottages and the wonderful hospitality extended by the owner Mr. Nishanth. The cottages are well-ventilated and offers great views of the Cauvery river-bed. You can clearly hear the elephants trumpeting from the opposite side of the river through the day. Food is basic but of good quality. Service is prompt and with a smile. There are 4 cottages and more are under construction. Enjoyed every moment of the stay. Will go back again. Thanks Nishanth!
Wonderful Place had a great time with my friends last week worth visiting the place Mr. Nishant the owner was too curious to serve us. Rooms where clean and well maintained lovely food was served our weekend was spent superbly
Stayed here for two nights. The property is good. The rooms are cozy. There s no air conditioning if you are traveling on summer. Good for families, my kid enjoyed playing on the ground. Nishant (Owner) was really nice and always there to help.
Cons: Rooms are not luxurious. Day time the parking near the river gets crowded.
Early morning and night the place just relaxes you with sound of running water
Ideal for night stay to catch up on dubbare camp at 9-10 in the morning
This place is opposite to the Dubare River Rafting, and Kaveri River. They are currently 4 rooms, its a private property. Like small houses. Bathrooms are huge, and rooms are spacious. Lots of places for kids to play. When u look outside the room you can see the river, so if water level is low you can play in water and come back and dry yourself. Car can be parked outside your room. There is a big farm of Betel & coffee of around 11 acres which you can visit in the early morning. Food is separate but is available just outside the Inn. The host Nishant ensures you have a smooth journey and everything goes fine with your stay.
3 cheers for Nishant (owner of dubare inn). Amazing experience.grt place with tasty food.peaceful environment.suppotive staff.grt hospitality.i don't have words for Nishant.he is amazing person.down to earth very helpful guy.so go without any doubt to dubare inn.main attraction kaveri river side.recently i visited here.love from Devi and swati from banglore
Amazing cottages located at the heart of dubare, Everything is just right at the doorstep, Decent rooms with good food and a friendly host makes it a delightful experience.
Really disappointed with the place. It's still under development. Property is not maintained properly. Lots of insects around the place. Not a lot of options for dining. Vehicle parking poorly built. Won't recommend to anyone.
Nishant is great guy he knows how to treat the customers been traveling many places but this place is awesome and kids love it a lot.food taste is good and price is also reasonable.
Reviewing this on the first day of our stay. Property has vast land area and 4cottages currently running. Beautiful and peaceful on the Kaveri riverbank exactly. From the property you can see the elephants coming to the riverbank. The owner has restaurant so you can order food by calling him or a few steps away there are other food options. We tried their chilli chicken and it was yum! The rooms are not luxurious but I would say they are good as they have maintained cleanliness and hygiene. It will be a different experience altogether as you will be staying and sleeping on the lap of nature.
We loved this place very much. Great Service by Mr. Nishanth and his team. This homestay has 4 cottages which are facing River Kaveri. The cottages are spacious, neat and clean, my family loved it. From the cottage we can see River Kaveri which is such a beautiful sight. We can hear the sound of the flowing River Kaveri day and night from the cottage itself, which is so pleasing to the ears. By staying here, we could take part in rafting (Rafting costs Rs. 200/head) in River Kaveri. Also, we could visit the Dubare Elephant Camp for which boat facility is available from here itself.
Awesome Awesome Awesome experience! Thank you to the owner and the cook who made our stay so so peaceful. Both south Indian and Chinese was awesome. Butter masala Dosa was yum! Try their Tea and tell them to make it a bit strong if you are a strong tea lover. You are gonna remember it forever. Beautiful cottages on the river bank. You can visit their coffee and betel nut estate. Morning view - Elephants coming for a bath to the river bank. The whole time you will be listening to the river sound. AMAZINGGGG! In one word "serene"
It was a good experience, I'm giving 5*. Food will be serve to the cottage. (good) spacious rooms and well maintained. Dedicated car parking. #River view, #privacy, #smoke-free, #suitable_for_family.
Loved the stay truly. Exceptional hosting by Nishant! Will definitely visit again and again.
Note: Due to ongoing road construction activities, there are some road blocks when travelling from Kushalnagar, but road is good and hassle free from Madikeri. Please plan accordingly!
Beautiful place to spend time with family and friends. Currently they have 4 cottages operational. The best thing is the rooms are facing river side. Best feeling. You can also visit elephant camp to see taking bath and feeding and horse riding. My kids had a great time.
Sad part about this place is the food. The housekeeping boys who was cleaning toilet and arranging bed is the cook to my surprise. I really felt yuck also they don't know to cook. Best option is to eat @ Kushalnagar.
It was an excellent stay. The rooms are spacious and clean. The owner and the staffs are very much friendly and helpful. The view from the hotel is beautiful. One can hear the sound of the river Cauvery thought out. The elephant camp is jst the opposite side. I'll definitely recommend this place.
Best place. Simple, neat and clean. The person attending us was very sensitive to our needs and very kind. We spent two days and nights. Food is very good. Would definitely recommend
Lovely resort by the elephant camp. They have yum dosa. Food is simply mouth watering. They have cozy rooms right beside river with the flowing water making soothing sound at dead of night. We didn't get these rooms though. We instead got inside their coffee estate. The estate is a visual treat of greenary. Nice tree house view point there inside the estate. Well lit and neatly maintained. Rooms r spacious and clean. Mosquito repellent were provided so we didn't suffer bites. The host is very kind and gave extra bed on prior request. They were very accommodating and gave warm milk for my kids. The only disadvantage of staying in estate is the little walk of 1 km from room to the dining spot which is beside the river. The elephant camp is right across the dubbare inn restaurant. It's nice adventurous experience to cross the river over slippery rocks. In summer river dries up. Boats r available only during rainy season. The elephant bathing time is from 9 30 am -11 am n tickets r issued right after crossing river. Elephant feeding time is from 11 am. Inside the elephant camp no snack counter available so take something on ur own.
Amazing place to stay.if u don't drink or smoke then take the AC rooms they have lovely view.nights are so peaceful.rooms r decent.no food or tea coffee would be provided at the rooms but the hotel is pretty close so one can either walk or drive there.morning walks to the dubare is breath taking.serene.owner is very sweet too.
The Location is awesome, it's right next to the river, the staff here are also cool. As this place is right next to the river you can enjoy awesome sunrise & sunset.
A very nice & comfortable budget place to stay, located right on the bank's of the Cauvery River. The cottages are clean and simple. They serve very homely udipi/coorgi food. You can go across the river in the boat to witness or participate in the early morning 'Elephant Bathing & Feeding" and then go on an elephant ride. You can also take a raft ride. Those with a streak of adventure in them can go for the 11 km long white water rafting trip. It is seasonal though (july~aug).
