Disabled people have different kinds of problems.
Financal independence and accesibilty to public places are well known issues. Another serious problem never spoken of is 'disrespect' which people do to us casually. Its very common that disabled people are addressed in singular language like hogu/ madu/ helu/ tago / kodu etc.
Worse that some sick-minded use lo/ kodu lo/ tagolo kind of words on us even if we were customers. Organisations like enable-India should also create public awareness to respect disabled persons like any other citizens. Unfortunately i faced this problem here too when i came for vaccination on a saturday two weeks back. I'm a 40 year old disabled person and became short because affected by disability.
One dark complexioned moustached man who calls and organises the visitors at the basement gate few times addressed me helappa, nodappa, kuthko etc. We don't expect sir/madam etc.
But don't a 40 year old man expect heli/ banni / hogi/ kuthkolli? He was responsible and good person. But helping without respectful choice of words is no use. As an individual i cannot create public awareness. But organisations like enable-india can do gradually.

Enable India in disability people to learn computer and mobility other any and life skill good. I want learn training and job wait for point what happened covid-19.i life how? Wait.

The organisation is working hard to provide all the disabled people with economic opportunities. The team is dedicated towards bringing change in the lives of these marginalised people and consequently the society.

Enable India Managing Director does not user friendly for differently abled person their open, but they only for soap or face and making money purpose there open the Institutions thank you.

Worst experience! They definitely won't help hearing impaired people to get job. Enable India founders are liars. Please shut down this organization forever.

Called to enquire regarding my brother. He is mentally abled and have done his degree in B. A but suffering from cerebral palsy. They rejected to take him. What is use of only helping with abled disables. Challenge is to bring hopes in the people who have no hope in life. They never accept those kind of challenges.

They are doing a novel job of uplifting the differently abled and giving them a meaningful life

Enable India is an organisation that's core aim to make PwDs economically independent. I visited their center in Adugodi. A small mudpath off the road, leads straight to the building. An initially annoying beep sound, greeted me but then I was told that the sound guides the blind to the building. The security staff is sweet. The building spans different floors, each floor dealing with different disabilities. The staff also consists of PwDs which is very apt. The management team is very sweet, and understands the needs of its students. The students learn various things to make them job-ready, including English and computer skills. They are incredibly nice and welcoming to any guests. Each floor is well laid out, with different rooms for different classes, and an open space for the staff. It is a wonderful institution and you should try and help in any way you can - Volunteer or Donate!

Hello guys. I always believe in practical experiences And it's my personal experience that they guys are doing nothing but making their organisation famous as we know nowadays you can make anything great by just rewieing it. There are a lot of people who do not know about this organisation. And review with five star. I am a vissually impaired person and call countless time to this organisation but always they ask to to call someday just want a help to give me a training of employment. After almost 1 month they haven't reply to my call and I call from another number they pick my call and and they ask me to call after one hour. I call and receptionist was like very angry and he asked MR. SUBRAJ He ask him to cut the call in Kannada. He cut the call after some days I got the email address of The founder MRS. SHANTI RAGAVAN and I email her a lot of times I requested her about my consent but there was no reply. I heard her videos of IIS. And make so much dreams about my career after watching videos in their websites. I want to say the founder value your words. It's happened with me. May be someone they help are settled in some career but the were South Indians. Thank you.

Enable India offers training programmes for differently abled people with many values. They provide a lifepath for the disabled.

The best place to go to see real work in the diversity space with a focus on empowering persons with disabilities. It's always inspiring to be there.
