Special shout out to Saurabh and Gaurav (staff at the open air restaurant) who helped accommodate a special table for us to have a good view of the performance. It was simply awesome for them to have done the changes with a smile and with minimum fuss. Their service was also impeccable and they were extremely responsive all through the evening.
Also thanks to the managerial team for their help too.
Overall a great experience, special mention to the staff who made our stay absolutely great, soft spoken and made sure all our needs get fulfilled, went out of the way to make the birthday memorable, highly recommended for a family stay and a for a relaxed holiday
I had an amazing experience at this hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel's location is perfect, with easy access to all the attractions in the area. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, and the amenities, like the pool and fitness center, were well-maintained. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great stay.
It's an amazing place.no words to explain the beauty of this place. From furniture to lighting, omg thy hav done a goooood job.nice food, hospitaly s too good.lifetime experience.
Its a beautiful place with courteous staff. We had 2 rooms booked for 2 days. On our final day of check out i had requested that we will be checking out one room at 11 am and since i have an infant (10 months) I will check out the second room by 1230pm. I received 7 calls every 5 mins till i checked out.kinda lefr things sour.rest above average food.spacious rooms.
A palace situated amidst the tranquil ancient city of Hampi. Palace is divided into 3 buildings, Jal mahal the lotus mahal and main building. Jal mahal are room lined with private pool and similar to a small size villa. The lotus mahal, harbors an Ayurveda center, a souvenir shop, a library on first floor and a fine dining restaurant. The main palace is built around a central water body which is beautifully designed. There is an activity center which has a small gym, TT table, chess and few more board games and a kid swimming pool (all common pools were closed due to covid), a restaurant and a large infinity pool. Rooms are huge with a private jacuzzi. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and always ready to assist. The food in the restaurant follows indian, South Indian and Hyderabad cuisine only. But chef is really accommodating and caters to some silly requests as well (we requested a pizza and they served). The property is very beautiful, almost every nook and corner seems like a perfect spot for pic, but to make matters easier, the estate has a professional photographer on site to help you pose and capture those precious moments. Evolve back has two restaurants - Tulva and Boomani. Tulva serves breakfast, lunch high tea and dinner while Boomani is a specialty restaurant only available for dinner with prior reservations. Too many mosquitoes as the resort is very open and surrounded by dense trees all around, though the staff is equipped with various repellents etc to deal with them. A flutist plays across the resort in evening turning the palace alive with music and melody. Candle light, palatial arches, flute melody in air, gentle breeze and water and Tranquility and flowers around, feels ethereal. A great experience overall.
Evolve Back properties are truly a gem of Karnataka, what with them being one of the very few ultra-luxury resorts of their kind in the country. The USP of the Hampi property is that among the three Evolve Backs, this one is hands down the most visually enticing and gram-worthy to say the least- right from when you drive into the property its imposing palatial structure captures one’s awe, and that is but the beginning of a truly splendiferous experience this place has to offer. The ambience at the resort is sublimely regal and the gigantic rooms would literally give you the feel of staying in an actual palace albeit with contemporary touches like an en-suite jacuzzi. The resort also has enough and more activities to keep you busy, ranging from guided tours to the world-famous ruins of Hampi, to their own pristine swimming pool (which was sadly not operational when we visited owing to Covid). However, the icing on the cake was the top-notch service delivered by everyone from the reception staff to those serving the restaurant- which really completed what was an exceptional experience. If I were to find areas for them to improve in an otherwise spotless stay, it would be the lack of variety in the food offering. Owing to Covid, there was only a limited a-la-carte menu being served for lunch and dinner with not as much variety as one would have liked, so we ended up repeating a lot of dishes over the course of our stay. However, the quality of the dishes was bang on so one hopefully shouldn’t be left complaining much about this aspect. Moreover, we had dinner at the Bahmani restaurant one night and from the breathtaking candle-lit ambience to the food that tasted beyond perfect, the experience was simply surreal and one that just cannot be missed if you’re staying here (make sure to book a table here in advance because they are quite hard to come by). All in all, this is a resplendent property complete with superior service and dining, making it a perfect choice for a short stay out of Bangalore or if you’re in Hampi. Would absolutely love to go back!
The location was very secluded and was very beautiful. The food was the best, but the portion sizes were very little. And there was problem with maps which I hope will be resolved. So overall a 5 star.
A big thanks to each and everyone at Evolve back -Hampi for making our vacation simply outstanding. The staff is super friendly and makes sure each guest feels special. We enjoyed every bit of our stay.
Super destination, very good property, all staffs are well trained and helpful. Very good food and maintenance, we had very good time at this property.
One of the best resorts in India Evolve back will definitely take you back in time to Vijayanagara empire It’s not something you see it’s something you experience from the roads to room to dining to the resort itself everything resembles the mighty and the great architecture of our true empire Must visit!
The place has three very good qualities, Peaceful, courteous staff, very clean and well maintained. Two nights is ideal. My experience for two nights was good but i was demoted from Zenana room to a nilaya room which is the starting grade and the shifting experience was very bad as we hurriedly had to have our breakfast. The nilaya & nivasa rooms don't have as good a view as the Zenana. And the downside to their resort is that they charge 25% service charge for in-room dining services which is totally absurd. Other well renowned resorts like Marriott, Sheraton, Oberoi, Shangri-la, Latil, ibni coorg don't charge anything for in-room dining. 25% is a total loot. Mosquitoes are plenty in the evening and its difficult to enjoy the high tea which they provide. Even though i had booked in Feb 2021 at a cost of 79800k for 3 nights Zenana which stayed in their account for 9 months due to cancelation i had to pay 3800rs extra on top of the previously paid amount just so that i could come from Sept 28th to Oct1st. Don't ever make the same mistake.
Had a wonderful time in evolve back, back in February 2021! The staff, food, hospitality everything was chefs kiss. And to top it all, as a cherry on the top we got our room facing the most beautiful view of the sun! It’s pretty expensive but you’ll have the best time of your life! Not to forget that the personal room jacuzzi was completely not in a good condition to use!
It is quite a decent, elegant, classy place. An expensive one but with good people. It would be great if the restaurant food matches the price and the expectations for such a classy place but the feel of the rooms are quite luxurious. We received a good service and neatness, but we were unaware of all the services in the campus until asked for. If there's a way of all folks knowing what to look for, what to book for in advance (like a special cuisine limited dinner etc.), it would be helpful.
I was there with my husband to celebrate our anniversary and we surely had a good time during our stay.
It's a very good property. But care should be taken to maintain long standing customers. Food quantity is very poor for the prices they charge unlike other resorts in the same standards. Kind of overbooked in august 2021 despite govt restrictions. Noticed abrupt ending of cleaning rooms for new customers when they have landed early. Risky, especially at these chaotic times.
We visited Evolve Back, Hampi in the month of July 2021. There is no doubt that this is a wonderful property, looks no less than a palace and is done up to resemble the architectural marvels in Hampi that existed during the days of Kings. However, we had just 2 concerns (which is why I've rated it 3/5). A) They DO NOT include breakfast in their tariffs. I could have easily overlooked this fact but in my experience, even the smallest of small hotels we've stayed in, in all our years of travel, offer complementary breakfast to their guests. So one would imagine that a 20k+ per day room would come with breakfast. Ofcourse, you can choose to have it at their restaurant but it almost felt like they want you to pay extra for the food, especially since the property is a bit distant from the town where you could explore other options. B) They overdid the cleaning to such an extent that we'd get back to the room after a tiring day out only to find housekeeping getting the room cleaned or finding that the bed was made in the one hour that we were out for breakfast. This might be good for some people but it gave us a sense of intrusion of our privacy. That aside, our overall experience was enjoyable. A special mention to the staff, who go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. We also found their food to be delectable and thoroughly enjoyed all our meals.
P. S: To the manager who reached out, I couldn't reply to your comment for some reason but I hope this detailed review helps.
16th Feb 18 (Visited) Hampi a heritage site in India (Karnataka) takes you several hundred years back. Spectacular sites to be seen here and it's known as Vijayanagara Empire. It's breaktaking natural landscape with full of rocks and wide river. If you are looking for ancient city then hampi is full ancient sites with temples and building dating back centuries. And I must mention Evolve back resort You wanna feel like king, pls stay at Evolve back resort which is build like a Royal palace with great ambience, great food, great service.
Food is very very disappointing! Right from the regular dal, rice, vegetables preparations to the Nawabi food a Bahamani, the food lacks soul and flavour. The chef talks about evolving back in the menu but there is no such thing. The food is worse than a roadside dhaba. Being located in a remote location, the resort should provide good food but it is absolutely tasteless. Our stay was bad because of the food since it is food inclusive package even though the room was very good. The vegetables biryani had no vegetables and was full of mint leaves. Infact mint leaves is the dominant ingredient in all their food.wonder if they get it for free! Very very unhappy with Indian food being in India. Not value for money they charge
Rats were in our room! What can I say about my stay at the Evolve Back, Hampi? I would not call this hotel a 5-star hotel, it was more like a 2-3 star hotel, We found during our stay that there were some concerning issues. Firstly, the service in their in house restaurant was very poor. The servers and staff had little to no training, and it showed. For example, when we sat down, the server asked us if we wanted desserts? ! Even before we had ordered anything else? ! We also noticed that there was a long queue of unhappy guests that were waiting for tables. As for the room itself, it was poorly designed and felt like it was lacking furniture. The worst thing we encountered was finding a rat in our room. We did fell a little uncomfortable as the room was not cleaned and sanitised after the staff caught the rat. Our room opened out by a pond, which would be very nice but it was shattered with other guests litter that was not picked up. Something you should consider is that when you book a room no activities are included, activities start from ₹1,000+. Overall, we felt unsatisfied with the value of our room and the activities offered. I don't think we would revisit Evolve Back again. It is worth visiting Hampi for the sights but don't expect anything too special from the hotel. It does not look like the photos.
-I did post this a few months back but it seems it has been deleted. Don't fool me! I will post this again if it is taken down for a second time!
We checked into this place with a lot of anticipation and hype and found that it could be much better than what it is. For example, check in should be quick, and we donot expect to be looking at a cross and a bible when we come to study indian mythology and scriptures. The place is just a recent construction structure trying to construct something the hindu kings built, but this is concrete, stone flooring and simple grout and gives the feel of a church (maybe run by christians?). There is not a semblance of the olden time construction. Also the entry in and out has a rocky road (maybe to recreate something ancient) but our kings travelled in luxury without a bump. So in all, it is a not a good attempt at recreation. Even a spec of the vijayanagara empire needs tremendous planning, effort and dedication.
Beautiful place, luxurious rooms, maintained very well. True palace feels Very good for peaceful and calm stay for 2 to 3 days. Topnotch hospitality, room service people are very good in cleaning and decorating the rooms. One thing wanted to mention is food service is very slow. But no compromise in taste and quality. Only suggestion is to make this food service to the table a lil faster. Apart from this a true 5 star experience. Happy munching
One of the best properties I have visited! Love the indoor jacuzzi, the food was amazing! Loved the food at Bahamani Restaurant! Most relaxing spa with skilled staff! Jal Mahal is outstanding Loved it Thank you evolve back U guys are much much better than other brands of hotels!
The rooms were awesome and the way that it was constructed was beautiful. We loved the service, and we also liked the food and tours that they gave us. Maybe there are 2 things for them to improve on which are: 1. The rooms. We wanted to book the Nivasa or the Zenaya room and we booked a Zenaya but when we reached there we were staying in a Nivasa. Weird! 2. The cost. We had to pay for literally everything that a hotel would offer for free. We were a little upset but gradually decided that because the room cost was less, they charged us for literally everything!?
A stay with grandeur, large suite with sauna and lavish room, decor. Great food, especially the brekafast buffet. Decent service except for the experience at Bahmani restaurant. Mutton Biryani at the Bahmani restaurant was a disappointment. Otherwise the food range and taste was good. Dinner buffets with live performances were an experience. Overall, loved the stay.
Amazing dinner! It was true bliss to have each item of the menu being so delicious! We had been for a pool side valentine dinner and worth it! We had pure veg food it was delicious! The luxury property gives u an amazing feeling being there!
The location is really amazing and the stay was also comfortable. The only problem was the service of the staff. At the entrance it's written that 98% of the people are local people and that is not a valid for the following problems: Room was not cleaned in the afternoon even though it was specifically told to be done and the wifi password also took time. The receptionist felt like he didn't want to talk at all. The restaurant was a good experience for both breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was a buffet system and the organic farm walk was also good.
Absolutely delightful.they have 3 resorts. Coorg, Kabini and Hampi.and I have been to these resorts around 12 to 15 times over the past decade.it never disappoints.they spoil you with unmatched service and the most beautiful rooms.great food.best spa treatments.there is really nothing wrong they can do.little on the expensive side but totally worth the money to be pampered by the best service.
The price is justified for the ample serenity and tranquility this place offers. The place is very well thought out giving plenty of natural lighting at all places.
Like an Oasis in the desert, this resort stands out for it's luxurious ambience, from which to launch one's exploration of the World renowned Heritage site.
We stayed at the Jal Mahal suite. Truly classy - the suite, the facilities, the staff, the decor and the experience. The kitchen is by itself worth a visit - and, the food they dish out is perfect in every aspect. And, extra helpings are given with a smile, and if they sense your liking for a dish, it is brought without demand at the next instance. The visits to the ruins are made perfect by the knowledgeable guides. And, a relaxed evening in the lounge, with a story teller brought to life the fables and tales of yore - a remarkable touch. Do go to Hampi, and make the visit an event by staying at Evolve Back
Absolutely get what you pay for in terms of comfort in the room. But even outside it, what really adds value to the stay is the excellent staff. We travelled with kids 6 and 3 years old. On the first day itself our younger one puked just outside the restaurant. From that moment on till the end of our stay the staff made sure we had everything to be comfortable, but above all make our child feel better. It wasn't just lip service as they backed up everything they said. Monica was there everytime we needed something. Somendra was very attentive and looked after all our food needs like as if we were his own guests. And the rest of the restaurant staff too was always willing to help with our requests like it was no problem at all. Would highly recommend couples and families to go here.
Excellent luxury hotel. But could be a little more kids friendly. Considering Hampi is so hot, kids need more entertainment in hotel. Especially access to infinity pool.
We got upgraded to Jal Mahal from Nivasa room for a minimal charge. It was my boyfriend's birthday and they made sure everything went perfectly. We were provided à la carte in the Nawabi kitchen, in place of the buffet dinner included in the booking amount. They arranged for a b'day cake at midnight and decorated the room with balloons and flowers while we were at dinner. While leaving they made sure we had tidbits for the journey back. The hospitality of all the staff is really commendable. All in all a wonderful stay, in a wonderful place.
It's a heritage / palace theme resort. If luxury is on your mind.you need to stay at Evolve. We loved the large room with jacuzzi in the balcony, lovely staff and the icing on the cake was a story time. They had this room with large single sofas (say about 8 may be) with tables 4 facing four. The room was lit up with those olden days king torch fire and a guide would tell us about the Hampi history and some short stories of Tenali Rama.and they served cold juice.it was so relaxing. Well.couples you can also opt to have a special dinner in the middle of the pool it's totally romantic. Exotic is the word.
Excellent palace hotel, delicious food, very quiet and convenient location near all Hampi sites, great service, no diappointments, staff agreeable and willing to do whatever one wishes or wants. Hospitality at its best.
Must visit place, excellent ambience, food, service, courteous staff, very helpul, friendly.the charm of this place kind of brings Hampi (Vijaynagara) alive.
The place is brilliant in the day and outstanding at night. Built with a theme of the Jal Mahal in Hampi, it truly is a palace to stay in! The rooms are huge. The pool villa has a lovely pool and a jacuzzi too! The staff is awesome and simply spoil you. The trails to the ruins are in a nice safari jeep with a guide. The ayurvedic massage leaves you like jelly. Its a lovely place to unwind and just let go. Oh and there is a vintage car. If you are lucky you can get a ride in it. I was!
Excellent hotel and the staff is absolutely wonderful. The staff is what really makes the hotel great. The courtesy shown, right down from lower level service staff to management level, their service is beyond impeccable. Neha (our designated service person) went above and beyond during our stay. The welcome drink is definitely worth asking for more for. Villas are cool but the standard rooms are good enough for families. Try to get the packaged rate with meals included.
Not worth the visit. The place is built for the benefit of foreigners and they expect to be paid in dollars. There is a distinct difference in attitude towards Indians and Foreigners. Everything is awesome except the attitude. Green cover is missing and so the place feels very hot and sultry and a definite no during summer. Toilets are well equipped but don’t expect hand sprays or water as they use only tissue. I would not waste time on a 2nd visit.
Hotel every thing is good architecture and design. But food is really very bad. Need to improve food. Such a 5star hotel food is very bad. Not much taste.
Within the hotel one dwells in the glory of vijaynagar pomp and splendour. One elevates to a royal order, what a grandeur. Beautiful and grandoise. Excellent service,
This is one place that is perfect in every way. The staff, the service, the food, the thoughtful amenities etc. The suites are spacious and huge. Every suite has its own RO water purification system. Beverages in mini bar and local sweets are complimentary. The bathrooms are immense with jacuzzi, shower and live plants. The linen smells divine with a lotus based freshener sprayed on every day. Try the local Vijayanagara thali and prawn dishes. The architecture is beautiful and Vijayanagara era - specific but the suites are all well-appointed with modern luxuries. Local musicians and local craft are encouraged. The guides are well versed with history and local lore and are impeccable in their conduct and behaviour. There is simply nothing that is wanting. One of the best holidays ever for me.
We had a wonderful stay for 5 days. The resort, the staff, the attentiveness, the rooms everything was fab. Beautiful pool and nice spa too and Sulochana and Chaitanya were good therapists. Our 2 Zenana suites were fabulous with the Jacuzzi and well appointed amenities. Swati in customer relations, Libin, Sebastian and Arjun in FnB were fantastic. Super professional staff. We will definitely return and would recommend this resort to anyone who wishes to go to Hampi. All the best to the entire team on getting it right.
If you ever wondered what would have been to be the king Krishnadevaraya in Hampi, this hotel gets you pretty close to that feeling both in terms of the ambience and also in terms of the service being provided. This is a 5 Star property near the historical town of Hampi and the property mimics the Hampi structures pretty closely.
They have a fine dining restaurant which are hard to come in this region and it serves some finger smacking tasty food. They have an infinity pool next to the restaurant which has a beautiful setting for a small family get together.
But the best feature has to be their guest rooms. They have four different types of rooms depending on where they are located and also to cater to different budgets. But if one has to get the true experience of this place, they have got to explore their top two options here - Jal Mahal and Zenana. Zenana are the corner rooms that have an indoor pool and a majestic suite. Jal Mahal, their most expensive room, is on a different level altogether. It stands surrounded by a pool of water filled with lillies. On the inside, every detail in this room seem to have been chiseled out with utmost care. It has a private pool, sauna, hot tub, shower, luxurious bed, a living area and by the looks of it the whole of Vijayanagara king lifestyle. You have got to see it to experience it.
The property also has a spa, game room and a common area near reception to soak in the perhaps the most luxurious hospitality that money can buy in this area. If you would like to feel special for a day or make someone else feel that way along with you, give this place a try. You will bring back loads of memories for posterity.
