Very big and well maintained area.u hav to keep bags in counter for a charge.phones and money can b taken with you.you have to climb 100 steps to top.then 6 more steps to enter inside to get view of inside from top.the parapet is short so b careful.single women not allowed they will say get permission from counter area.then they allow.takes minimum 1hr to see museum and fort.lot of restaurants outside the spot.

गोल गुंबज विश्व का सबसे बड़ा गोल गुंबज जो बीजापुर के आदिलशाही वंशजों के सातवे सुलतान आदिलशाह का मकबरा जिसके अंदर 5 मजार हैं, जिनमें बीच में आदिलशाह की मजार है जिसके दोनों तरफ चार मजार और हैं।यह गुंबज हल्के काले पत्थरों से बना हुआ है जिसमें चुने का स्तिमाल किया है जो 1659 ई में बनाया गया था जो 7 मंजिला है जिसके ऊपर जाने के लिए चारों कोनों पर सीढ़ियां बनी हैं जो लगभग 108 हैं जो चारों कोनों में बनी हुई मीनारों के अंदर बनी हैं इसके खुलने का समय सुबह 7 बजे शाम 5 बजे तक जिसके अंदर जाने के 25+5 रुपए के टिकिट लेने पड़ते हैं, ये गुंबज विजयपुर (बीजापुर) रेलवे स्टेशन से 1 km की दूरी पर है। जिसके सामने की तरफ दो मंजिला म्यूजियम बना है जिसके सामने उस समय की बड़ी बड़ी तोपें रखीं हुई हैं और अंदर में गणनेश जी की, महावीर स्वामी की मूर्ति और सिला लेख तथा सुलतानों के कवच, तलवार, कटार बंदूंकें, छोटी तोपें, उस समय प्रचलित सिक्के चित्रकारी, मिट्टी के और चीनी मिट्टी के बर्तन तथा उस समय के स्थापत्य कला के नमूने जिन में स्त्री पुरुष की मूर्तियां आदि मौजूद है।इस गोल गुंबज के एक तरफ मस्जिद जिसके सामने पानी का बड़ा पूल और चारों तरफ पार्क बने हुए हैं।

The Bijapur Fort  (Vijapur kote) is located in the Bijapur city in Bijapur District of the Indian state of Karnataka. Bijapur fort has a plethora of historical monuments of architectural importance built during the rule of Adil Shahi dynasty.

This Fort was built more than 400 years ago, almost all ruined some of the remains of ruined left for visitors, here one Archaeological Museum I visited several times really good, they collected some of the remains and valuable historical evidences of Vijayapura. Still a lengthy Fort wall we can see with a big Trench (Agarth) in front along the Fort wall, Planned Design of wall with number of Cannon bases (Burge) on the top to face the Anime, very good Historical structures still we can see worth to pay a visit, Still Authorities has to make some more good ways to reach all Places.

I like to visit Historical places and always has amusement about those structures. So this is also one of the best architecture and the place you must bist once. Superb

Gol gumbuz is an amazing attraction in Karnataka-Bijapur. In this huge awesome monument if you go on the top floor and shout you will hear your voice echo for about 4 to 5 times.what an amazing state of architecture!

Golgumbaz is a great place to visit however the scam at the public toilet parking lot and show stand is annoying, also the staff behavior is absolutely bad. Staff / contract staff is always ready to fight with tourists.

This Port is Great architecture, The area around the fort is very clean maintained. Besides fort there is a Museum also and it's very nice place. So don't forget to visit museum. Entry fees is below 50

Good for one time visit.guides here are not that good.they do not give enough information.not well maintained.entry ticket should be purchased.very crowded place.history says if a very speaks close to the wall at one end of the hall, it can be heard on the other end.but since the place is so crowded on weekends it can not be well appreciated.otherwise a must visit once in lifetime and get to know the beautiful history and engineering of the place.
