This is a good place to skateboard but security don't allow it.there r no people around its nice to skatebord there. Please don't be that rough government also didn't build skatepark for us to skate at least allow like 2-3 hr on Sunday will be so nice. Hope Government build skatepark us lot of skater waiting for that.

At the construction stage, there is still room for development.
The entrance is difficult to find.

Today the entry was open without tickets, probably on the occasion of Christmas. It was disappointing to witness the dilapidated state of affairs the historical place is in. The children’s play area is in shambles, while the other statues and buildings have visible wear and tear. I hope there’s better effort towards maintaining this unique and proud piece of history.

The entry is free and it has quite environment. There is also park for children inside and lots of tree. It has essence of history too which is very good to see and know. There was security inside the park too when I visited which felt good and safe. The park was quite good. You should spend some time here if you love silence.

Freedom park is quite a good place to visit in banglore. Do not visit in late evening many mosquito are there. It's a history presentation park with prison, stab and small park for children. The park represent history of British. The entry is free n parking vehicle too. You can spend good time here n get few beautiful photos clicked

Freedom Park is located in the Central Business District of the city of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. It was formerly the Central Jail. [1]

It was opened to the public in November 2008. A part of it has been allotted for protests. [2]

When a state of emergency was proclaimed in India in 1975, several opposition leaders including Atal Bihari Vajpayee and L. K. Advani were arrested and jailed at this venue. [3]

It also hosted the India Against Corruption (IAC) supported Anna Hazare indefinite fast for governmental action in the enactment of the Lok Pal bill

Earlier I was going there regularly for walking when my house was there.
Now I go here occassionally after house shifting. Good environment. Socio-cultural activities will be conducting on Sundays. These days timings got changed.

It was a good place where jail transformed into a park.it is very recreational with many rabbits and birds there.
It host many function like marathons and fitness programm
People come there fr morning walk and jogging.
Also vidhan soudha is very nearby. 10 mins walk from this place.

It's a great unforgettable place. Was a jail but let open to public in 2008. Got to know about this when a strike had conducted from here by our college students. There is a part here specially for protests. Spacious area with lush green and stage for conducting programs. Events and programs can be conducted here by pre-booking

Very impressive stalls, selling various hand made fabrics, dresses, ready made garments for men and women bags, carpets from various districts of Karnataka and J&K. But the vendors are quoting very high prices, so need to bargain more than 50%; Network interruption; sellers prefer cash payment; good food stalls are available outside. Ample parking place. Not bad.

At the front side of the freedom park, little space is available where a few people park their vehicles. Multi parking construction is still going on. Most of the professionals park their vehicles on both sides of the double road from Seshadri Road junction to Kanakadasa Circle which is insufficient. The reason is that major place is occupied by the taxis and a few people from BVK Iyengar Road and Chickpet park their vehicles since morning till late in the evening. Most of the Advocates who have their Chambers/offices in and around Gandhinagar find it difficult to find parking place for their vehicles and they park their vehicles at Freedom Park. In a way it is helpful for most of the Advocates.

Nice and clean place. Big enough for any function to be held. There are even ducks and other cute animals which are lovely to see. Parking also available

Great place with a historic importance right in the city. Good for an evening out with the kids. Just a li'l unkempt though. But hey entry is free

I went to protest against Siddaramaiah. They told me, come back later. We are still beating up those protesting against Modi from November 2016.

Good place to visit early in the morning.
Can possibly go for jogging. People who have a taste for history will like this place.

Good park with sufficient space for public gathering. Located near majestic and mysore bank with 1km distance.
Visited this place during food festival.

Spacious space for events located in heart of the city. Freedom park is being utilized for movie shootings. Superruchihabba a food festival with more than 100 stalls was a treat for food lovers and various other events are also being organised. Gr8 place to visit with family and friends.

The park has restored the jail for public viewing. The entrance board lists numerous places within the park but most of it is closed.
I would recommend this for group of friends who would want to hang out and chill. For people who looking for touristy there isn't much to see within the park.

A great place where a lot of events takes place. Especially food festivals. Love to visit this place.
