Gokak Hanging Bridge

It's a pleasure to visit Gokak falls during monsoon, specially in the months of July and August.

It's broken and officially shut but people still go on it by crossing over the barricaded door and wall. So unsafe.

Old bridge when it doesn't have water you can go on it
But when it have water you will get a lot of fear

It's a very old bridge, what I am suggesting is to avoid going to that bridge because it's very rusted and does not have enough strength to hold too much weight. Local authorities have closed the gates so no one can go over the bridge. But when there's not enough water in the river one can go under the bridge and can see the structure and working of the bridge.

Best tourism place. Great historical place. Must visit once in a life and great engineering marvel in 80s

Old hanging bridge, tourists are not allowed to enter into this bridge. Eroded but worth to visit. Water fall enhanced the beauty of this place. Surrounded by hills. Awesome view with sunset.

Don't see Gokak falls, leave it alone. Ultimate in water falls entrance free parking own vehicle charge but local bus, private bus, bike full of enjoy

Nice place, very Old mill near Bridge which is Established in 1887.

Great view, but people are spoiling it with there plastic litters, please don't spoil the beautiful nature, once in a life time visit, if you sit beside the falls and see you will feel the inner peace.
There is no entry to the hanging bridge now as it as lost its strength after the flood in 2019. Have a mind soothing experience and be nature friendly

It has been closed for public use. The same may be got repaired and public may be permitted to use it, which helps inflow of tourists, in the rainy season.

Gokak Waterfalls was a great experience with its tall and breathtaking falls, but disappointingly, the place was not well maintained. The people are misusing this place and moreover polluting it wjth plastic, government really needs to focus on improving the cleanliness of the area. Despite this, it's still worth visiting.

This is Amazing bridge it was built by the then British way back in 1907 facilitating the movement of workers from other side of the Ghataprabha River to work at the famous Gokak cotton mills located adjacent to the falls. The Gokak Falls is fed by the Ghataprabha River and is nicknamed the Niagara of Karnataka for the horseshoe shape that it takes at its crest. In the rainy season from July to August this falls attract by the tourist finally this place incredible.

Don't miss this place when in Belgaum. Also a wonderful spot when you are in a road trip. Just about 30 Km deviation from the national highways, on the way you may walk upon the dam, pass through beautiful landscape and do a shopping at Gokak Mills factory outlet
