As seen in most of the older south Indian restaurants or cafes, the older they are the cleaner they're being maintained. And honestly the atmosphere in such restaurants is really calm, soothing and homely. Here one thing ruined the atmosphere and that was cleanliness. The floor was dirty and the overall vibe was just off. Service was good. Nothing much to say here. The food menu is majorly north Indian. I ordered a paneer tikka masala, dal and a few breads. It was above average. The only thing I really appreciate is the pudina and methi roti. Not everyone offers these. Overall, if you don't see any good north Indian options near you, just go for this one.
I have been going to this restaurant since I was a kid and I have loved it since then. A perfect place if you're looking for veg cuisines. The place has a calming ambience and good service. The manchurians here are yumm! And the lemon paneer deserves a 10/10. Loved it!
Have been going to this restaurant since yers very tasty and hygienic North Indian Restaurant in all of Bangalore Must try - Palak Paneer, Veg Hydhrabadi with butter Garlic Naan
The food was ordinary. We ordered paneer tikka paneer was a bit hard for my liking. Roti curry should have been better. Roti was not so hot. This place was good maybe 2 3 years back but now the standards have dropped.
Probably one of the very few North Indian cuisine only restaurants in South Bangalore. I took a few North Indians and they told it's decent. For those who have got used to North Indian styled dishes prepared with a tinge of South Indian style, this place looks great. Ambience - 2/5.
Most servers don't know Kannada and their restaurant is in the heart of South Bangalore, lol!
You can't have any memorable experience as such. Just one another restaurant good for a weekend lifestyle
First time the Lassi was ok but not up to the mark. Then we ordered a second time, this time it was thicker than the first. Then we ordered a third time, it was thick and delicious.
If you are looking for south Indian food around the corner, then this restaurant might suit you. They have all their dishes being cooked with desi ghee which makes the taste of the food even better. Pocket worthy and filling all their meals are. Go give the place a try if are fond of Indian veg cuisines.
Good with food. But service is bad.food is thrown at the table laterally by the server.
- table is just wiped with a cloth and not sanitised - Quarter plate is not given and the reason for the same is explained to be covid restriction. Not sure how can other plates be not restricted. - jam packed place no social distance between tables too. - as a whole food is good but good for a take away.
I am a 17 year long customer. Past 3 months the quality and Quantity has a steep decline. Post my yesterday delivery, decided to find an alternate. I do not thing management gives value to repeat customer.
I know this place since more than a decade now. It's situated behind Roti Ghar. Their cook and co-cooks are vastly experienced and are same since then. Their food has consistent taste. Must have dishes are Kaju Masala and Paneer Butter Masala along with the breads.
I have regularly been to this hotel but yesterday that's 31st December 2020 taste of food has been changed not liked before it was I think the chef has been changed
This is the best restaurant I have found in my three years of experience in Gandhi Bazaar area. Have visited multiple times. Love the place and taste here.
Quite a decent family restaurant with really chill environment. The food quality as well as the quantity is great. Although the place is well known for south indian food, the other dishes served there are also appreciable. There's plenty of parking space outside, staff is courteous, food is reasonably priced, so a must visit!
Quality of food is top notch.have a few signature dishes. Pudina based starters. Kaju Masala.and Black Forest Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream. Excellent choice for Vegetarian Menu.
One of the best places for proper craving North Indian food. The curries are brilliant. Definitely need to try Vegetable Pepper Masala and Capsicum Masala here with Kulcha. Yummy food with courteous staff. Probably the oldest restaurant which has still maintained the same taste from around 25 years now. This is a proper family and decently priced restaurant.
No backup generator in case of black out. The place warmed up like a oven. But good food. Although they have a good room for improvement in the service department.
A very basic restaurant for a quick meal. It does its job very well though. Located on one of the busiest shopping streets in South bangalore, this place is easily accessible
This restaurant is only one which I'm visiting rite from my childhood. This is one of the best restaurants in Gandhi bazaar which serves satisfying dishes. Veg Shahi Kuram tastes amazing at this place.
Has been my favorite restaurant since years however these days I am noticing that quantity of products like curry and rice is decreasing and price is inverse to it
It used to be a good restaurants at Times! But now it has not maintained its name. There are no variates in starters and ice creams have to be improved. (Falooda is really poor they charge like hell for it, but it's not worthy, even a street vendor will make a better falooda)
Right place to have your meal if your shopping at Gandhi bazaar. Great food at economical prices. Took a little while to get a table for dinner (Saturdays and Sundays are usually crowded). Foods served relatively fast, starters-Crispy veg Manchurian personal favourite. Hygiene wise just okay.
One of those restaurants that has stood the test of time. It is a restaurant that I have been visiting since childhood and will continue to do so. A restaurant which I would recommend when one would want spend time with family over a good dinner. It is a restaurant that offers the usuals but with good taste. North Indian, South Indian and Chinese cuisine and desserts. The chef might have changed lately cos of which I miss the original taste.
Service gone down menu should display what all will be served in special Punjabi thali one small spoon ice cream don't serve drinking glass with water bring bottles and charge money very funny waiter is not attentive
The food is really great to taste. And the ambiance is really good. Menu is huge and lots of dishes to choose from. The service is bit slow but you would not feel it if you order the dishes at once.
Very very bad butter roti not cooked properly and fried rice was not at all fried properly and the kadai gravy mushrooms was badly tasted. Allthese were brought on jan 1st. About cleaniness the cleaner of the table boys clothes itself very dirty.why iam telling this bcoz iate the food when restaurant start ed it was ossum but now the quality is very bad. Gandhi bazaar branch
Best North Indian food. The main concept of this hotel is to promote vegetarian, which you can clearly find it in there menu. Don't forget to try american chop suey.
A very basic restaurant for a quick meal. It does its job very well though. Located on one of the busiest shopping streets in South bangalore, this place is easily accessible. There is no designated parking space though, so better to I park at a distance and walk. The food here is good, and there is hardly any ambience. The seating is comfortable though. The staff go about their business in a professional way and the service is quick. The price is reasonable as well. Overall a good place for a quick meal, but this is not a place for a peaceful relaxing dine out.
Nice place for vegetarians who wants to eat out occasionally. Also this branch is near to Ghandi Bazar and Sree Dodda ganapathy temple, Bugle rock park. So plan to relax in the park at evening and enjoy the dinner at Gokul.we have visited the temple and spent some time in park to enjoy the fresh air before our dinner.
