Breakfast has a pretty decent menu with an American and north and South Indian spread with veg sandwiches, idli dosa, aloo paratha, chocolate milk shakes (tastes like made from a premix though) fruits, salads, fruit juices, omelettes, tea/coffee, cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, chocolate rolls, cake slices and more.
Why I’d give a star less is because I want the cupcake size to be smaller because for someone like kids who aren’t able to eat it up all, it’s quite a lot of food waste. Rest everything was fine.
Friday evening my wife and I went to dinner at Golden Oak restaurant in Sarovar Marbella, Jayanagar. As it turns out it was the most regrettable decision. We ordered a Virgin Mary each and a potato and peas samosa for starters. The drink arrived and was alright on the face of it. They kept us waiting for almost 30mins for the cocktail samosas and on enquiry we were told that they had dropped our order on the floor. Still after another ten mins or so the starter arrived. It seemed alright. Almost on the heels of it the main course of shaam savera, rumali roti, veg pulao and raita were served. We didn’t have much of an appetite by then because of the long wait but still ate what we could and got the rest parcelled. Having paid our bill of ₹2700 or so we left. Enroute home both my wife and I experienced symptoms of nausea and dizziness. It was more severe for me. The result of dining at Golden Oak was catastrophic. My wife spent the entire night with bouts of loose motion, feverishness and body ache; wracked by nausea. The next morning since my condition was no better she had to contact the physician for treatment. I contacted and apprised the Restaurant manager: Nirmal Nayak of the situation. His responses or lack of it are simply callous and appalling. Despite having promised to revert since there was no call from him. Being in hospitality his response is nothing short of irresponsible and indifferent. All I can conclude is this place is highly avoidable. We are though am still suffering from the repercussions of having dined at this simply awful and definitely unhygienic restaurant. All I can say is if you plan to go there for a meal dial at your own risk. Never again!
Good Quality food is served and one should definitely try the non-vegetarian tandoori platter. It's just amazing. There's alcohol served here and there's also bar counter where people can chill and relax. They serve food late though if they can speed up their preparation time and serving time it'll be great.
I love this hotel and staff. I just asked pongal is available for morning bofee immediately the next day they prepared for me. Reception house keeping bar chef especially morning breakfast semmmmmmaaaaa third time iam going to stay there. Lovely place all the best value for money
Visited the Golden OAK restaurant which is the main restaurant of La Marvelle hotel in Jayanagar. The hotel is easily accessible and there is a valet parking service available.
The Golden Oak restaurant will not be crowded normally and we got a seating for 10 on a busy weekend elsewhere. The cuisine is mostly North Indian with a little bit of Chinese thrown in. The food was tasty but portion sizes were a bit smaller than what is expected of the price. Talking about the price, it is definitely on the higher side but the fine dining experience would be worth it. The service was a bit slow and not proactive but they accomodated our requests which felt welcome.
Do try out the Ghee roast chicken and the non veg platter which we all enjoyed.
All things was good but once i found dishwasher scrub metal wire in food, i am feared and socked that hygeine and safety is not follwed in these hotel also.
A restaurant you can avoid, half the stuff on the menu won't be available, and the food is not up to the mark in comparison to the price you pay.the staff didn't even have the patience to leave the menu on the table.it's like ok you have limited time to order if you don't order by then it's like please leave.seriously the management should look at the service level and plz advise on how to treat your customers
The place looks nice, the food is disappointing. The aglio-e-olio pasta was terrible, the other foods were atleast edible. Overall, a disappointing experience only because of the food. The staff is very well behaved and courteous. Also, extremely pricey for the quality and taste of the food that was served
Bangaluru is the capital for Beers, especially draught. Just chanced a drink here, nice restaurant, snax were delicious, definately recommended, but I would prefer one with attached Micro-Brewery.
Everything was good except the rates. Rates were too high.understandable that it's a 5 star restaurant but then also, cost of water should not be that much.
Serving was not good if u ask just for I icecube u have wait for 10-15 min the pasta was served cold if food get dropped if u tell them to clean they be like yes mam n they will clean it when they bring ur next order not so good experience of fine dine
Menu is good.we ordered Pizza and it was delicious. It had smoky effect and we loved the food. Ambiance is good from outside as in the living area with chairs looks good and is comfy too.quite disappointing actually. Washrooms don't have the lights inside. I was really scared.management staffs were in their own world.not all of them.yes but some.
Rest of the things were very good. Hope this will be better next time.
It has a great scope for improvement. The dining chairs are so pretty and so heavy, there are no ushers to draw the chair to facilitate your comfortable sitting. A few of the staff members are pleasant. Most of the staff members appear either working under pressure, or they don't know their job. A career in Hospitality industry appears to be ground down to become a source of mere income generation. Can't we start our day in this industry with a thought to Make everyone's day who comes to my hotel. My Regards and All The Best for a resilient staff Reddy Garu
Taste is average, too costly, mineral water in menu showed 60 rs but bill amount was 160. Serving is not done properly, food was dropped while serving and server did not bother to say sorry.
