One of the best place to visit in Coorg.
Calm and Quiet place. Really worth for the time. There's main hall where there are three Buddha Statues, then there's another two prayer halls which are also very calm and peaceful. Good spot for meditation. Also there's plenty of Lamas. There's no entry ticket or fees, if you want to donate, there's box.

One of the must visit location in anyone’s coorge trip. Such a calm a d piece full atmosphere. You will be relaxed inside the temple.

There are no charges associated with temple visit. You can see their traditions and Pooja inside and that’s quite interesting.

No words to say about the construction of the temple. Feels like you went out side of India

This Monastery is the largest teaching center of the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism in the world. Located in Bylakuppe, part of the Mysuru district of the state of Karnataka, the monastery is home to a sangha community of over five thousand lamas  (both monks and nuns), a junior high school named Yeshe Wodsal Sherab Raldri Ling, a religious college (or shedra for both monks and nuns) and hospital.

After the Chinese took over Tibet, the refugees were settled at Bylkuppe near Kushalnagar and the Buddhist Monastery was re-established here in 1972. It houses over 7,000 monks and students today. The monastery not only attracts large number of young Tibetans seeking enlightenment and education, but also draws huge tourists from all over India and abroad.tibetan monksBylakuppe Tibetan settlement consists of a number of small camps close to each other, and has a lot of monasteries, nunneries. Most famous among them are the large educational institution Sera, the smaller Tashilunpo monastery and Namdroling monastery.

The 40 ft tall golden Buddha statues are the major attractions of Bailkoppa. The statues of Buddha, Padmasambhava, and Amitayus are the notable ones. The walls of the temples and the institutions are decorated with colorful paintings depicting gods and demons from Tibetan Buddhist mythology. The altar is decorated with flowers, candles and incense sticks.

Nice place to visit as a tourist. It gives you that calm feeling when you enter. Unlucky couldn't enter the temple this year as it's closed from past 1 year due to COVID19

It's the second largest Tibetan colony in India after Dharamshala. The aura of that place, the calmness would sooth one's mind. One can reach this place by getting down from bus at Koppe and taking an auto directly.

It's one of the best attractions while coming to Coorg. It's one of the biggest place of world for Buddhist monastery. Place is quiet and calm as it should be. Place is clean also as you are suppose to keep your sleepers outside the temple. The paintings are total eye catcher. Just outside, there are few shops where you can buy souvenirs but they will be on the higher side in price.

Nothing can ever define the feeling of positivity and spirituality that one can experience at this amazing place. Karnataka Govt had allocated around 3000 acres of land in Bylakuppe to the fleeing population from Tibet. Its one of the largest teaching centers of Buddhism in the world.

I have visited it two times. Once when i was in college and once when i was working in Mysore. The Golden temple was made in the year 1999. It holds several ceremonies thought the year. One can get Buddhist artifacts from the shops nearby. However these are a bit costly. If lucky one can hear the prayers. The pictures drawn in the walls and sculptures are just mind boggling and eye catching.

You need to keep the slippers outside in a designated place. Its well maintained and neat. Keep in mind that this is a spiritual place and dont disturb them a lot.
