Goldfinch Mangaluru

Extremely good place for a holiday stay in Mangaluru. I had been here with my friends. The rooms here are very good and food is very tasty and hygienic. Price is also affordable.

Rooms are way poor than expected and are having very bad ambience. Not at all worth for the money they are charging! I have stayed in 5 times better rooms for much lesser cost. It should be ranked 2 star!

Thirdclass hotel who selling room online but not having anything with portal. @sriraj Bhatt clearly told me why u book from agoda, they charge us more as already everyone same.

I don’t know what has happened to the owners who were so passionate about the property good and service, I booked the hotel during my last visit “last Friday” stayed for two days the experience what’s shocking rats were running around in the Restutant where they serve breakfast, breakfast for two days was same no change in menu, in room dining was the worst. They charge so heavily at least they should care to give good food. The worst food I ever had. I guess the owners should really look into it.

Not a great place to stay. Upkeep needs a lot of improvement. The toilet drain was clogged. Bathroom door has no locking mechanism. Restaurants aren't any good. Breakfast that was complimentary wasn't good at all. There are much better hotels in Mangalore.

The food and ambience, the service of all the staff at the Kabab Studio was excellent. Worth it.

Overpriced below average hotel, an old timer average one I think. But I regret decision of staying here. They Push to check in late and checkout early. NO quality in the cleanliness, bathroom specifically.

I had a wonderful stay at the Goldfinch and the staff very all very polite and attentive to customers. Special mention to staff Hema and Sushma who were at the reception when we checked in and checked out. They both were very supportive and gave us good offers while booking the rooms. The suite rooms in this hotel need a special mention aa they were super good and offered us a comfortable stay. I would look to visit this hotel soon again just for their hospitality.

Worst food in kabaab section, Poor service, Overrated place, Never visit for this Place atleast for buffet, poor maintenance

No maintenance at all when compared to a star hotel. Rooms had a bad odour. Basic necessities were also not there in the room.

Hospitality was below average. No parking place for cars. At lower price we could have got better hotels.

The malai prawns was tasty but tangdi kebab was slightly overcooked. The Mangalore fish curry from the main course was very tasty but the fish in it was again a little overcooked.

Desert section only liked the brownies and the vanilla ice cream had already started melting.

Overall I would say okayish.

Beautiful hotel located in city, very comfortable, clean, well maintained room, we had a wonderful time at the Hotel during our stay. Amazing service and food, rooms have a great view.

Chef Venkat and his team
is doing a great job, settling down as for now. Our server was also excellent dint note his name. Ramesh Acharya I the lobby/porch remembered for a sweet surprise. Hospitality at its best.

Nice staff. Especially i would like to appreciate The front office executive Miss Shraddha. She is very welcoming and ensures 5 Star treatment to Guest.

Cons

1 No proper parking you have limited space for parking, or else you should park in the basement near garbage and all oh yeah you can park in the road too

2 Menu is like a seven star hotel menu and food is worst than cheap hotels cant compare with street food because street food is far far better (and the best part is even drinking water from house keeping is chargeable)

3 Hopeless support from room service bthey won't answer if they answer also the attitude is like donk care

Conclusion
I think they have enough revenue from bar and other parts which they have been rented so thats the reason behind arrogant attitude. Better stay away and take gateway Taj or something other places who have the value and Hospitality or else feel the above mentioned things and enjoy. Have a great stay.

One of the best hotel in Mangaluru for sure! It is affordable but slightly on the higher side of the price if booked through online portals. The rooms and very well sanitised and clean. Luxurious and comfortable. It’s very quite inside the property & the aromatic scent kind of brings more peace in the lobby areas. What I liked the most is the quality of food served in room dining (IRD). It’s very good. Although the complementary breakfast is totally the opposite. Dint have a pleasant experience with the complimentary breakfast because the IRD had set a bar so high. Would say it’s family friendly as well as couple friendly. A few happening places around the property as well which one can explore. I’ve visited & stayed in this property thrice in the span of 2 years but it’s always welcoming with warmth.

Rooms and food were good but worst hospitality. They did not provide drinking water and asked us to buy packed mineral water or to drink tap water. Not worth to be 4 star hotel and not worth for money paid

One of the top star hotels in Mangalore. All the restaurants here have the best quality food and environment. The buffet at Kabab Studio is my favourite buffet hangout spot.

Stayed here for a total of 4 days. The overall experience was average. My main motive of writing this review is to highlight the rude customer service and behaviour of the reception staff, Ms. Shradha. She was extremely rude while check-in and was super pretentious during check out as I was given a feedback form! There was also a guy at the reception who spoke rudely over the phone while I had asked him to shift me to an executive room at the 7th floor. It was not taken care of, in spite of my initial request while making the reservation, a few days back (Shradha did not agree this although I have an email from them!).
Room service was good. Rooms were hygienic. Breakfast was average. The restaurant situated in the 8th floor was good. There is no gym/swimming pool as can be seen in the website.
PS: It is better to make reservation through MMT as they will not give you any benefit as can be seen on the website if reservation is made directly, such as a meal credit of 200INR etc.

An above average place u can stay for weekends.

Food was okay. Service was terrible. It took many hours to serve the food after ordering. Most of the time they missed many things which was ordered and added things which was never ordered in the bill. 2 star is only for the ambiance of the restaurant. Kabab studio in the same gold Finch hotel is much better than this sanadige.

Food not upto the mark. Kabab studio, kabab were not spicy good for kids who cannot eat spicy foods.

Gold finch hosipitality is so nice, I felt so delighted with family gathering in the hotel (just felt like being home).

Place was nice but a bit overcrowded. TBH it was 31st Dec eve so can be understood. Music is OK. Prices are fair.

Decent place with excellent service. I’d recommend to skip the breakfast as the food is quite average, choose a room without the breakfast package. There r plenty of restaurants nearby the hotel. Ask for water wash, they have a facility to clean the car in the basement. Parking is good.

Clean, nice room. Responsive staff. Breakfast buffet was good too. We were given separate beds despite the request we had placed but I am willing to overlook.

The location was convenient too.

Service at SANADIGE Resto was extremely slow and not upto the mark for the price being paid. Starters took more than 1 hour to arrive

This pub is small in comparison to the other places in manglore, the food is moderate and the ambience fails to impress. It is a good place to chill out and the music is good.
A good time to go will be Saturday nights as the crowd will come on that day

If your thinking to stay in this hotel please think 10times before you book. I had a night mare with this hotel. The hotel front desk are very arrogant. We happened to reach the hotel a bit early we request them to oblige and give us a room but they refuse inspite they were aware we travelled 400kms and came in tired. Next is about the breakfast. It's very limited choice. In the room if we ask for water bottles they will request us to pay for it. In a place like mangaluru where it's the center for hospitality. This kind of service is not acceptable. Regards to Bill they had so much of issues to settle one. I will never recommend any one choose this hotel if you, 'll come to mlore. It's a disaster.

Decent pub with average food. The foods not bad at all. It's just your basic pub style food with a decent selection of drinks. Mostly empty during weekdays but chill to hangout with frnds during the weekend.

Sanadige in Goldfinch is a classy namma local cusine restaurant, serves local delicacies which are extremely tasty, everything we ordered was awesome from massive kane to Tawa king fish and Bamboo Biryani

We stayed at goldfinch in last week of december 2020. We enjoyed the service at the hotel from all departments. The buffet breakfast was delicious with many manglorean dishes like goli bhaji, mangalore buns etc plus the normal breakfast spread. But the best part is the sana-dige restaurant which serves coastal cuisine. We went there daily and skipped the buffet options and we were never disappointed. The non veg Currys with dosa, rotti and fish fry was awesome.

Parking for pick and dropping place is narrow.
My room telephone was not working properly. I could not communicate with reception for assistance

Average hotel. Not qualify as a 4 star hotel. Having half amenities compared to an actual 4 Star Hotel. Superior rooms which I booked needs immediate renovation. Toiletries, free water bottle were given only after calling the house keeping staff. The same menu were repeated in daily breakfast.

Worst experience. Had booked online, no proper information given regarding room. They gave two single beds n had to adjust with 10 yr old kid. They had given free for 10 yr kid n once we checked in we were told we need to wait till tomorrow as guests were full or need to pay for extra bed. Never expected this.very bad

Enjoying a weekend break in the top pub What we got confounded all expectations. Wonderful ambience, great staff and the food was off the scale. Massive menu, all beautifully presented and huge portions. But wallet parking not good totally unsatisfied. Some personal belongings missing. Try to improve basics.

The tables are small, there isn't enough space to keep all the plates, when it's a group of four or five.

I totally loved everything the food taste hospitality each and everything is perfect i have gone to many pubs but this one is the best
