Gubbachi Goodu Homestay

It is an amazing place to stay. It was a wonderful experience. Mr. Somashekar is an amazing host. Should definitely try this place for a peaceful and serene experience.

I am not a person who write reviews but the experience was so good that I decided to write at least a few words. I along with my family stayed at Gubbachi Goodu Homestay from 22-Dec-22 to 25-Dec-22. The homestay provides two big size rooms with 4 king size beds in it (2 in each room). Infront of rooms there is a small sit out which extends to a big open area with good greenery. Place is definitely very comfortable and cozy. Other than the place it is the host who are the star attraction.making sure we are feeling comfortable and providing local food which has lot of varieties and tastes amazing. I would highly recommend this place for stay.

Amazing Home experience in chikmagaluru.

We went there for a family get-together and we had an awesome time there. This place has two rooms with an attached bathroom and a big veranda. It was neat, clean & tidy. However, the real experience was not in the two rooms and big veranda, its was the host. We really have no words in expressing the feeling and warmth they gave us. Mr. Somashekar and his wife Asha made us feel at home. They are very nice, kind & cordial. Always ask us if we need anything or any improvements on the food taste (of which we had none). Since we started on the food, this is again a different level of experience. Asha madam was preparing delicious food herself without any helping hand. She was providing a variety of tasty food and coffee. This kind of taste you will only get at home when someone prepares food with great devotion.
We also had a chance to meet their son who is also very friendly, even though he was busy in his work.
We made one more friend there - 'Blacky' (Their pet dog). He is very friendly and we loved playing with him.
We are back home now, however, my parents, wife, and brother are still talking about our stay and experience. It's a must-place to visit in Chikmagaluru. Definitely, we going back there again.

Great place to stay with family excellent hospitality yummy food and wonderful ambience. Ideal for people who want to enjoy out of the hustling city life.

It was my first “Homestay” experience and it was wonderful. Property was well maintained in the midst of Coffee estate. Our initial plan was to stay 2 days but got extended another day because of this clam and peaceful place and hospitality by hosts (Mr. Somashekar sir and Asha madam). They were very kind and made our stay very comfortable. Food was amazing. They serve their own estate’s coffee which tastes really good. My 2.4 years old toddler enjoyed the stay very well.

A perfect place for relaxation. A home away from home with amazing food and ambience. Had one of the best experience here. The host were very humble and friendly, always asked if we're comfortab and gave advices about food and places to visit.
Would love visiting Gubbachi Goodu again and would recommend this lovely place to friends and family.

The place is very amazing, homestay was good. The food was super awesome hospitality of the landlord and landlady was very good. It was a home like feel for us.

Homestay is very clean. Food is excellent, especially the local malnad cuisine dishes. This place is highly suitable for a single group of 10-12 members.you can occupy both rooms.

We went to Gubbachi Guddu homestay second time in Sept 2021. First visit was in November 2020. This place is amazing & gets you out of mental stress of city & work life. A serene place, where everything is taken care by hosts. You get your own privacy & mingle with hosts as your wish, they are always available & very nice. Food is home cooked, excellent taste and quality, quantity. Our both family groups loved the food. Us bring North Indian also enjoyed food to fullest, it's great to experience. There are two pet dogs in property, very friendly.
For those who love plants, you have numerous variety of plants & colorful flowery plants & herbs. Their own estate coffee is export quality gold standard, which is another merit of the stay. Would love to be there at Gubbachi Guddu homestay again & again & again. Well done & cheers to lovely hosts couple.

Very good home cooked food and best hospitality ever. Best place for a Family who wants to spend leisurely among the woods. Lovely atmosphere and excellent food. Trying to serve the best for the guest.

Beautiful place, welcoming hosts and most importantly tasty, authentic healthy food. Spent 3 days here couple of weeks back, just relax, have coffee and enjoy monsoon!

The hospitality and food is outstanding, dormentry rooms ideal for groups not individual rooms available. Proper Malnad cousine and clean n tidy rooms.

It was an excellent experience staying at this homestay. We were looked after by Mr Somashekhar N Asha like as we were there own family members. All the meals right from breakfast to dinner was awesome prepared by Asha. They made our stay too comfortable n the atmosphere around We were so serene n peaceful far from. The maddening crowd. They are excellent hosts.love to visit ith again.

Thanks to Mr and Mrs Somashekhar for making Chikmagalur trip memorable. We visited Chikmagalur in month of Aug 19 and booked the place in just one day before of trip.

Luckily we got the booking and we reached on Friday. Owner pet dogs blacky and Alpha welcomed us like old friends:). My kid enjoyed a lot due to these nice dogs.

Homestay is very neat & clean, you can't even get a single spot, property was very well maintained. Highlight of stay was food prepared by Mrs. Somashekhar and not a single dish repeated in 2 days stay. Wide variety of veg & non veg foods, one of the best coffee and tea ever offered. Thanks Asha mam for taking care of all minutes details.

Host allowed the driver to stay in car and provided food to him in nominal rate. Since we traveled with 3 years old kid, warm milk was always available on request. Mr Somashekhar even guide us about the places and packed the lunch for day outing.

This is the best place in Chikmagalur to stay and savour the great food, hospitality and location. A great place for weekends off and chill.

This place is a paradise. Our stay was comfortable, Mr and Mrs Somashekhar took care of every little need and made our stay comfortable. Food here is so so so amazing, from morning coffees to scrumptious breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner. They put in so much of effort in serving their guests. Love this place, must visit. Wish to give 10 stars.

This homestay is home away from home. Really memorable stay and food was delicious. Owner Mr Somshekar & Madam were good care taker and very humble.

The food was very tasty and their hospitality was very nice. ALPHA And BLACKY were very cute. We enjoyed the coffee a lot. We loved it.

Cosy homestay nestled in greenery. Awesome food prepared by the lovely couple who stay on the premises who go out of their way to keep us happy. LOvely morning walks on almost deserted roads amid nature. Lovely coffee plantations. Lovely weather. We a group of 12 family members enjoyed the stay thoroughly. Would like to visit again.
