Vendors will seated beside the front gate towards Islampur. They will have all the veg in packed in 10kg, 20kg. Example: They offer a price of Rs. 200 for 10kg bag Brinjaland carrot, Where Rs. 80 per kg inside the market. When there is party or events Always best to go be there before 8am to get the best deal from Vendors.

Buy in alot for 3weeks instead of buying in less quantity.

I bought bingal, carrot, beans, wach 10kg tomatoes 20kg on the whole sale rate all the veg lasted more then a month.

Great variety of fish available, from fresh water Katla and rohu to pomphrets and orawns; need to visit early morning, the good lot sells out very fast

Bengali fish available in stall 5,6 and 7. Variety is available but it is expensive, so ideal is to buy the variety from different stalls in small qty

You will get different varieties of fish.most of the authentic Bengali fish is available here.only for Saturday and Sunday the fish market will be there.it's little bit costlier than the Kolkata market.but considering the availability it's worth it.but make sure to check the quality before buying.not everyday it will be the best.sometimes you may get little older fish which they kept in stock for long time.otherwise they even sell the seasonal fish like hilsa as well.

We cannot bargain, even if try we bargaining, they will give us back only 10 or 20 rupees max from the final price. This usually happens in most of the places in Bangalore, because of the IT people. Prices are same as shops. I prefer first shop (No.: 14) which is near to the gate.

It is located at the innermost part of the HAL market. Here you will find all the the varieties of fish specially fresh rehu and catla. You can do the bargaining also and buy fish for parties.please carry a carry bag with you because nowadays BBMP have ban on the carry bags.

Market is good.fishes are not fresh. 1 experience I want share.the first shop, the entry side first shop, the shop owner was cheating.because I bought 1.525 kg Sheela fish, they take two fish, one fish was very old fish.then he calculate 1.800 kgs.for a fish. 300 grams he calculate extra rupees.he measure before cut the fish 1.525 after 1.300, but he calculate 1.800.he charges 300 rupees extra.original rate 790 but he charges 950.me and my husband was fight with the owner.really bad.he cheating all people those who come the shop.measure one weight, calculate one weight.

Fresh fish and lots of shops. Prices are almost same that you get outside. Parking is limited. Better go on bike.fresh vegetable market is beside these shops.

HAL fish market is just behind the HALF vegetable and fruit market.all these markets are in the same premises. Easy to locate.u will get so many varieties of fish here.bt I can't say u will get fresh fish every day.if you want fresh fish just need to visit the market on Sundaysale before 12.it will be very crowded bt if u have decided to have fresh fish u won't mind the crowd.u need to bargain and check the fish before buying.

Good place to buy different variety of fish.fresh fish generally comes on Saturdays. But compare prices from different shops if you are buying fish in kilos.because there will be a difference from shop to shop. Bargain price to save plenty.

Fresh. Good stock. One stop shop for Bengali fish. You would get all types of Bengali fishes here. Rate may be a little high. But you would not mind since you get what you want

Quality of fish was good. Brought seer fish for Rs 780 per KG.cleaning and cutting process was good. Over all liked it. Very crowded place. Recommended to go early morning by 7 o clock or 8 o on Sunday's.good place to buy fish.

A great place to buy fresh fish. There's a lot of varieties of fish and the best part is they will clean it for no additional cost. I compared the prices with that of online stores and the market is a better option because you can ensure the freshness of the fish and is less costly than online stores.

I am seeing this place from past 12 years.there has been a lot of improvement and yet a more to take place. This area stinks a little bit but all the items that you would require will be available. The market is divided into mainly 4 parts.
1st flowers section
2nd fruits section
3rd vegetables section
4rd fish section
Weakly twice this market will be cleaned by the BBMP department bhruath Bangalore mahanagara paleke

Prices of the products are uniform across the market and usually it will be cheaper in early morning timings because this is the time of wholesale.at this time people from other markets come to sell their products and pusrchse products that are cheap in cost.
The shopkeepers in this area also go to this HAL market to purchase products in the morning

The workers in this market are also happy about this place because they have formed a association with the members working in this market
They have regular meetings regarding the issues faced by them in the market
There is also a public toilet facility available in this market which can be used for 1 or 2 rupees. There is also a Temple located nearby this market. This market also consist of various types of shops such as ice cream parlor, watch shop, pets shop, medical store, cold storage, small hotel, fancy store etc.

Will get all variety of sea n river fish including live crab. Biggest Fish market in Bangalore. I have been ti Russell Market, but its not big as compared to HAL fish market.

Good place to purchase all fresh fishes different varieties are there.within 11 o'clock of morning most of varieties sold out we should b there around 7 to 9 of morning.but huge crowd will b there.except fish vegetables fruits everything are there.price also comparing to other market less.we can't do bargain much.

I would say this place offers too many options with aquatic meat but you have to be really experienced on what n which one to take or else these guys will easily make fool of you. You get both fresh n sea water fish here but as I mentioned earlier you need to have experience with both quality and price to get a better deal here.
