To reach here, one has to take jeep service whose ticket is ₹500. After 20 mins of safari, trek for another 15 min.
Safe to swim or take a bath.
Note: There might b a wait time to fill the jeep (12 people)

We reached at 8: 30am. We were in 3rd jeep for the day. They start at 9 but if it's holidays or weekend they start by 8am and until 4: 30pm. 500 per head and it was around 30 to 40mins off road jeep ride. Sit in front row if you have back pain. The falls was great. To walk to the falls was beautiful. We had to rush back since we were given an hour to return back which was less. Restroom is at the jeep starting point only.

Beautiful place visiting in the morning will be a bliss.

We went in the month of October. The falls is inside the forest for which we took a jeep travel costing rs. 580 per person. The way to reach falls from jeep point will be muddy and bumpy and we need to walk for 10mins after a point to reach the falls. The falls was very wonderful.we can take bath at the falls but lots of rocks which used to slip if wishing to go the foot of the falls.on a whole we will find ourself refreshed and enjoyed during the visit to this falls

Hebbe falls was truly wonderful. Tucked away in a remote forest within the greater Bhadra wildlife sanctuary, the silky cascade of water is a visual treat

The water fall is good.it's pretty big, though for booking a safari to reach the waterfall one has to go early around 7 7: 30 am else you may have to wait a lot for the jeep ride
Search for some local taxi person who can prebook tickets
If you call the waterfall people they say there is no advance booking but have seen advance booking done by taxi people and local tour guys
And local tour guys get preference
Lot of leeches so be careful about that
During peak seasons there is lot of while coming back.
Was stuck for an hour or so for a couple of kms
Management wise it's sort of a mess

Great sight when in full flow. Totally worthful. The scenery along the jeep ride (though it is a 40 min bumpy ride) to reach there is also breathtaking. Too good to miss. Misty mountain tops and vast grasslands/valleys will take your breath away, especially when you go during rainy season.

One my best waterfall.u have take jeep from forest department they charge 500 rs each bust its worth.try to reach before 11 am on weekends, otherwise you have to wait for the jeep, total 3 hours inculdes with jeep travel time and your treak arround 15 min, you can spend 1hr on water falls.

Must visit place. Need to travel by forest department vehicle. They charge 3200 Rs for the vehicle. Maximum 8 adults allowed in vehicle. Takes 40-45 minutes to travel to each the falls. They will allow around around 1.5 hours to come back at base camp for return journey.

Beautiful and the best water falls to visit in chikmangalore.it’s a drive of 15km from the entry in jeep, charges of jeep will be 400/- per person.once they drop in location they will give you 60-70 min to come back to drop location, from drop location there is walk about 10min towards waterfall, it feels like you’re in heaven.amazing experience

Hebbe falls one of the most visitable place in western ghats in Bandra tiger reserve forest and off road jeep safari to reach the falls is very enjoyable.
When going to falls in ️ seasons be careful due to lot of leechers are there. So were the and the full size shocks.

Over rated. Ukkada Falls is better which offers small trek, no pricy jeeps and a lot of fun.
Warning: Trek is a bit difficult if you are not into climbing rocks.

Beautiful water fall. If you are a nature lover then this is a must visit place. One can not reach this place on his own. You need to reach Kemmangundi z point junction with your vehicle and from there you need to go via pvt jeeps. They charge 500rs per head. It's really worth paying this to them as the road is very narrow and dangerous root. It will take around 40 minutes jeep ride to reach falls. You can enjoy this journey by witnessing nature's wonder and few wild animals as well. After 40 min jeep journey, you need to walk for 10 min and then I am sure, you will shout loudly by looking at the beauty of Hebbe falls.

Very good waterfalls. A must visit spot near kemmangundi.
The only option to visit here is forest vehicles, perhead Rs 500/-. A very bumpy ride of around 12 km one way inside the forest.after getting down from the vehicle one has to walk around a km in forest which is a adventurous feeling. Finally the beautiful falls will arrive.worth visiting it.

A nice waterfall, you'd love the place, just the wait for the Jeep and the scary, bumpy Jeep ride spoils a bit of the experience.

Nice waterfall but can't go below the waterfall to get bath. Also it is a long way from main road, and the entry 500 rs is a lot.

Should visit in Rainy season to enjoy spectacular view, access is possible through forest department jeeps, It is chargeable.
Please wear shoes so you don't get leaches stuck to you feet

This is one of the most beautiful falls of Karnataka located in the Sahyadri hill range, western ghats. First we will have to reach Kemmangundi, from there we will have to book a jeep ride which costs 500 per head, private vehicles not allowed here. Weekends can be really crowded, will have to wait hours to get a jeep. We saw wild buffaloes and deers on the way. There's a pool in front of the falls where we can swim. Will have to walk half km from the jeep drop point to reach falls. Very good experience, totally worth it

ಅದ್ಭುತ ಫಾಲ್ಸ್. ಕೆಮ್ಮಣ್ಣಗುಂಡಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವುದಾದರೆ ತಪ್ಪದೆ ಈ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ಕೊಡಿ. ಫಾಲ್ಸ್ ವರೆಗು ಸ್ವಂತ ವಾಹನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗಲು ಅವಕಾಶವಿಲ್ಲ. 4X4 ವಾಹನಗಳು ಮಾತ್ರ ಸಂಚರಿಸಬಹುದಾದಂತಹ ರಸ್ತೆ. ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೆ 500₹ ಚಾರ್ಜ್ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ರೈಡ್ ಕೂಡ ಉತ್ತಮ ಅನುಭವ ಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಫಾಲ್ಸ್ ಅಂತು ಬಹಳ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿದೆ. ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಟವಾಡಲು ಇಷ್ಟಪಡುವವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದ ಜಾಗ. ಬಂಡೆಗಳು ತುಂಬಾ ಜಾರುತ್ತವೆ. ಜಾಗರೂಕರಾಗಿ ಇರಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. Leaches ಗಳು ಇವೆ. ಆದರೆ ತುಂಬಾ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗಾತ್ರದಲ್ಲ ಅಥವ ತುಂಬಾ ರಕ್ತ ಹೀರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎನ್ನುವುದು ನನ್ನ ಸ್ವ‌ಅನುಭವ.

One of the best waterfall witnessed in india I would say.the path leading to the falls is breathtaking and just magnificent

This place is located in Chikmagalur. From the city centre it's around 25-30km ride and once you reach the location, you have to hire a car to reach the waterfall.

Even if you have your own car it is not possible to reach the end destination as the roads are not so good. The locals charge around 700₹ for 7 people to go in one jeep.

If it's rainy season then they charge 700₹ for 4-5. More than 5 people in one jeep not allowed.

This is a beautiful waterfall. If you are travelling to Chikmagalur, you must visit here. Once we reach the entry point, we can't take our vehicles ahead. We will have to hire a jeep to go to the waterfall. This is because the terrain is very rough. Then the jeep guy will drop at a particular spot from where there is a little hike to reach the fall. But all this is worth it. The fall is very beautiful. If you go on weekday then you might find it empty.

Jeep ride costs Rs. 500/person (worth the scenic view) - maximum people of 8/ride. Best way is to team up with other tourists and take a ride.
You will be given 1.5hrs of time after reaching the Habbe falls. Beautiful scenic view on a bumpy road. If you are lucky, you get to see some wild animals too!

The beautiful waterfall is hidden in the thick forest makes you feel contented!

August & September are the best time to visit Habbe falls, you can compare to the pictures in other months to spot the difference in the force of the water pouring.

You got to reach a checkpoint from where you would get into a bumpy ride offered by forest department (ofcourse chargeable). A half hour trek from your dropping point would get you to Hebbe falls.

You must beware of leeches! There are plethora of leeches especially during monsoon.

From kemmangundi checkpost, need to take jeep. Jeep journey is like off road journey about 30 mins. After that we need to walk about half an hour towards adventurous journey in between long trees and bridges. Leeches will be friends during walk path. Approaching towards falls we get to ear sound of falls which magnificent and beauty of nature. Very good experience, never miss it.

It is really worth to visit the Hebbe Waterfalls,
But becare fully with leeches in the water. Only cash is allowed no digital money, per passenger (5+ years) 500 rs. Own vehicles are not allowed. Carry some snacks with you, after came back you definitely feel hungry. Enjoy your trip.

Its was a great experience. I sincerely loved ITT! The waterfalls is very beautiful even in summer the water is freezing to death! And the jeep trekking was amazing.

I loved this place.
It's not very easy to reach.

First you have to drive to the jeep parking point. Then pay 500 RS per head for the trail ride. The road is very bumpy.dart and gravel road. So if you have any medical condition, please think twice.
Then the jeep drop you at end point after a 30 mins journey through the nature. From the dropping point, walk down around 1km. The walking trail is again awesome. And the first view of the falls is breath taking. Even in summer, the water is very cold.

The rocks under the fall is very slippery. Be very careful

Truly wonderful place! Anyone who wants to visit this place should remember that you can not reach upto Hebbe falls directly. There is a check post almost 12 km before the spot where you need to park your vehicle and get a Bolero/Marshal jeep at Rs. 500 per person. This jeep takes you close to the falls on a deep jungle route. From the place where the Jeep drops it is another 20 minutes walk to the falls. The walk to the falls is also wonderful. It is a nice nature walk along the water stream.

Hebbe falls is wonderfully beautiful place. To reach this one has to travel by a govt vehicle on a very challenging road.own vehicle is not allowed and not recommended

What a place.really amazing. It's a 20 mins jeep drive and 10 mins walk. One of the biggest waterfalls I have ever seen in Karnataka. Cost for jeep drive is around 400 and may vary as per season. One must visit this waterfall if you are staying in Chikmagalur. There are no eateries near the fall so make sure you carry your own food and water.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever visited. The highest waterfall in Chikamagaluru, plunging over 170m. Only way to reach is via Jeep, around 12kms of jeep ride, which takes 30-45 mins. The fare is 3200 per jeep or 400 per head, including Bhadra Forest emtry, Falls Entry abd Jeep ride.

One of the best waterfall I visited so far.v travelled there on a scooty. Took us around 2.5 hrs from our homestay. The roads are fun to ride on and smooth. Once you reach the checkpost, you will have to wait for 15-20 mins for the jeep to come by and the fee for this is 400 rs per person. No vehicles are allowed beyond the checkpost. The jeep ride of 20 mins is thrilling.we can experience hoping from one hill to another. After they drop you, we have to trek for a few mins to the falls. It's a memorizing view. We are allowed to be near the falls for an hour max. We had been here in Feb and the water flow was amazing. It is allowed to take a dip so advisable to take extra pair of clothes. Overall a great experience.

Picturesque hidden gem - that sums up this place for me. Hebbe falls, despite its beauty is not known to many even from Karnataka. If you are visiting Chikmagalur, visiting this place is a must. Every single minute you spend here will be worthwhile.

Getting here: Only authorised Jeeps are allowed to take you close to the falls. You will need to park your private vehicles at the checkpost for Hebbe falls and register your group for a Jeep ride. Kids under 5 can ride for free but for everyone else, Jeep costs Rs. 400 per person. The Jeeps traverse through some extremely rough terrain to get to the falls. Gravel and mud path to the falls is bumpy as hell and you should watch your head if you are seated in the back. Pregnant women and those who had had a surgery recently might want to use your discretion to visit this place. It sure is an adventurous ride that is part fun and part exhilarating!:) Once the jeep ride ends, you will need to trek on foot for about 10-15 minutes to get to the base of the falls.

Distance: The jeep ride traverses through 14 Km and then you will need to trek about nearly 1 Km. The trek is a super easy walk.

Things to note:
1. Your jeep will wait for your group for 1 hour. Make sure you keep a tab on time when you are here.
2. Rocks at the base of the falls are super slippery. Use caution if you want to climb rocks.
3. Trek path has 3 bridges along the way. You can walk on them or walk through the stream below them for more fun. Watch for water flow if you are going here in Monsoon.
4. Get a waterproof cover for your phone. A fine mist sprays all around the falls and you might want to protect your phone from any possible water damage.
5. No food or water near by. Bring your own if you want but please take with you everything you bring.

Such a wonderful experience visiting this place. We have to travel in jeep for 30 mins and then walk for almost 1.5 kms inside the coffee Plantations to reach this falls. It's so beautiful to see the waterfalls and throughout the walk we will get to see the running water coming from the falls. One can really enjoy this waterfall if they are nature lover. But sad part is we are allowed to spend only one hr as the same keep will be waiting for us to take us back.
