Great care by Nurse Vanji, I've had dressing done for my ankle surgery 3 times now and he has been thorough and very kind and considerate.

My mother (Anila) recently underwent knee replacement surgery at Hosmat and I am incredibly impressed with the level of care and support she received. Dr. Ananya Puttaraju, along with the other doctors and staff were highly skilled and showed genuine compassion throughout her stay. From addressing our concerns to ensuring her comfort, they went above and beyond to make the experience as smooth as possible. I've been visiting Hosmat Hospital for the past three months, and it's undoubtedly one of the best ortho hospitals in Bangalore. The quality of service is top-notch, and the facilities are well-maintained. However, I must point out that the rates can be quite costly. While everything is generally well and fine, there's room for improvement in the way they handle revisits. The level of care and attention during revisits doesn't match up to the standard set during the initial visit or for in-patients. I hope they can address this issue to ensure a consistently excellent patient experience.

We are from police department, I fell down from bike one one my frd told about doctor, cleaning, doctor are good but we call staff nurses 3 times but they will come by late, nurses response is not good, improve this one, otherwise all is good facility, bed no 323

I had severe phobia in MRI but needed urgent MRI to start my treatment. I rushed from hospital to hospital, diagnostic centre to centre for a week but none could help till Jubin from Emergency of HOSMAT and Bipin the technical staff of HOSMAT showed extreme patience and moral support and got my MRI scan done. Jubin was with me till my MRI started, constantly boosting my confidence.my problem could be detected. No word to thank them enough

Great experience. All the nurses and doctors were extremely professional and on demand whenever required. Successful hand surgery completed here. Would recommend for other orthopaedic surgeries and general problems as well.

Got my collar bone fracture surgery done here. The house keeping staff and the duty doctors and sisters are very humble and they are very caring.
The process was smooth and hoping fir a quick recovery too.

No doubt doctors are very good and the staff are super friendly, but I want to make note of below points

1. It was late night and 1 Am when we came here for the admissions and the billing counter lady was asking us to pay 50% of the amount initially telling it is protocol.how can some one arrange amount during late hours.later we said that we will pay tomorrow.and after some begging she agreed for 10% payment.

2. When we came for dressing we had to wait for nearly 30 minutes just for paying the dressing fee in the counter and taking dressing bandage from the pharmacy, Meanwhile when we came they had opened the bandage and my bro was in pain.so.patient has to wait untill the bill is paid and necessary things are taken from pharmacy.

3. Parking is a scam.parking guys won't provide a bill when you take your vehicle out they just tell that billing machine is broken.and hospital has to understand that patient side attender will be traveling frequently to hospital and home.so either they have to pay parking fee Everytime they come or take a day pass which is 80rs.

4. Went to physiotherapy department for enquiring about walker.all the staff were chit chatting and never responded properly.they were like why this guy came and disturbing us.

But I appreciate the response doctors and attenders provide while taking care of patients.but hospital management has to take care of the above mentioned points

I underwent a hip joint replacement surgery. I was a bit nervous at first. But, the confidence that Dr. Ananya Puttaraju and his team of Dr. Pradeep and Dr. Devika gave, put me at ease. Sure enough, I could stand and walk on the very next day of the operation. A lot of care was taken by all, right from when I was admitted to all the post-op visits. The home physiotherapist Mr. Prabhu provided by Hosmat was also very supportive and encouraging.
A special thanks to Mr. Santosh from Hosmat for all the timely help and assistance provided.
All in all my experience with Hosmat was great and I surely recommend this hospital to my friends and relatives.

One of the finest hospitals in Bangalore but unfortunately was treated by a doctor Prasad antapur. Very egoistic person and very poor behaviour towards the patients So much that he didn’t want to treat a patient who had a fracture and was waiting in queue for consultation by keeping personal vengeance in mind.

I came to hospital for the first time on 5th jan was told for mri by doctor, no billing basement, no proper guidance, worst experience, so very crowded nobody to even inform us.needs lot's of improvement, just doctor service gave 2 star rating.

Excellent team of Doctors, Dr Deepu and his team is just excellent. However, billing team is the worst here, no proper information and they don’t answer any of your questions. Just to get a detailed bill, I have been made to wait for more than an hour. It’s 2.30 pm now and their staff is yet come back from Lunch break. I am hoping Mr Ajith the medical director of Hosmat hospital will take account of the situation.

It's been a money minting hospital they are good hospitals which treat patients much better than this hospital i won't recommend this to any one, had a horrible experience. Dont deserve even a single

Visited today for some diagnostics. Before going I had confirmed twice regarding these tests, timings for availability etc. After billing and payment I have come to know that one test they are not conducting under CGHS for they had already cherged. And the other test will be done after few hours while I had confirmed the timings for that test before reaching hospital. When I asked feedback form staff simply gave me an A4 sheet.
Hospital looks good but experience is horrible and third class.

Waste of time n pathetic treatment, not recommendable of Spine And Pain Specialist, Neurosurgeon. Be care full while visiting them.

On 20th I came to hosmat at 8am dr kannan came at 8.30am, sathya from reception made me wait for 45 mins, crowd was not there she could have done billing at 8.15only when counter was free, she did not, though she was busy in phone. By 8.30am when I went counter she told take a token and sit, wasted time till 8.40am. Later another staff chandra came she saw the crowd and immediately called me and made billing since I was 60 years old. My thanks to chandra for her kindness.

I always had a lot of trust in Hosmat hospital in terms of the best service, best experienced doctors and also the affordability of in/outpatient charges. However my recent experience has been very bad, Hosmat has also become a money minting hospital.it is no more about caring for the patient just how can we make money. I was hospitalized for a minor surgery and admitted for two days, with corporate insurance I could have gone to any other hospital but the reason i chose hosmat rather than other corporate hospitals is because of the excellent service, expertise doctors and reasonable charges. My overall experience was very bad as management has made everything very commercial.l required multiple reviews with my doctor on this case, but the hospital officials have charged me for every visit which is not normal, I felt I was being used. Usually in cases like this followup/reviews are free after the first payment, but here the consultation charges have been paid for every visit for same case just an follow up/review with Doctor as suggested. I have complained to my TPA/ insurance company and asked them to exclude hosmat from the list.

Not even eligble for one star, as I have to post hence rating require.

My mother had an ligament surgery last week. It was an excellent experience right from the treatment, to support staff and extremely well mannered and efficient housekeeping staff. So many helping hands there, we never realized that we are in some hospital.

Before surgery I met doctor Krishna Kumar he suggested x ray for the knee and then explained in detail on the condition of knee and treatment needed. We wanted to meet Dr Thomas Chandy once before deciding on Surgery. We met him and he has explained each and everything in detail and he gave almost an hour time to us.

Finally all this happened because of the Gentleman by name Kingsley Daniel who is working there. He has recommended me the hospital, doctors and infact he has helped to get an appointment too. My heartfelt thanks to him.

I had fracture on my right wrist and visited Dr. Vijay Girish. After analysis he suggested for an surgery. My surgery was completed yesterday and feeling better. Dr. Girish is very kind person. Last month for my mother done knee replacement for both legs. Dr. Krishna Kumar done surgery. Initially I worried whether she is able to tolerate the pain or not as she is old. Dr. Krishna kumar gave motivation to her and explained very well. My mother knows only telugu and doctor explained her in telugu itself. Surgery went successfull and she is able to walk now without pain. Thanks for the doctor and also hospital staff is very good. Only issue in this hospital is they will not allow outside food. That is not an issue when u get good food and good medication. I will prefer this hospital for knee replacement surgery.

Earlier my visits were always to the main hospital despite living in Hennur. But when they opened the Hennur branch, I had gone there a week back and realised the doctors and staff were equally good, in fact i feel even better. Chetan Rasquinha is one of the best ortho surgeons i have come across and his entire attitude toward patients is exemplary. So was all the staff in his dept, right from Kumar, Anita, and almost all the others including Lalitha at the reception are so kind and courteous that its almost unbelievable. God bless you all.
Since I was regularly going there i noticed something and may I suggest that there should be a shuttle between the main and Hennur branch? Traffic is horrendous on this commute. I have seen my niece who is in CMC Vellore who uses the shuttle there between the two branches and it's such a convenient way for the doctors to travel. Driving is terrible and then attend to patients will take a toll on the staff sooner or later. Just a suggestion for greater productivity I suppose. Thank you for everything.

Please take the appointment properly, pls change the receptionist, she didn’t take my appointment for my father even through I called 4 days back to her, after the call she told me I will receive a massage, I didn’t receive a any massage from hosmat.

She diagnosed nicely and we had gon through the ACL reconstruction surgery after surgery Dr Mahalakshmi supported and guided very well and done very good exercises and due to her physiotherapist my wife recovered very fastly and I strongly recommend Dr Mahalakshmi for physiotherapist and Dr Harrish for knee surgery

The doctors are quite nice and understanding. They communicate really well and ensure that the best and smooth treatment is meted out to the patient. More importantly, it is a good hospital for all bone related treatments. Also, the housekeeping staff are really good at their job and keep the hygiene to the best possible standards.

We had come to Hosmat, for my wife’s knee surgery and I feel I have made the right choice, from the doctors to the nurses to the cleaning staff all were very kind and the hospitality was next level. They took care of us and our needs very well. I would recommend Hosmat any day to anyone.

One of the best hospital. I'm really satisfied with my doctor DR. Deepak G Shivrathre. He's the best doctor for orthopedics. His way of talk and way of presentation to a patient is out of the box. His treatment is great. 100%cure. He's a doctor and a great motivator.

5 Star for the Doctors and treatment. It is no doubt the best hospital for bone related issues. Don't even think of any other place. Reducing one star here because of infrastructure and quality. For such a well known and established hospital it just is outdated. Otherwise, a trusted hospital in Bangalore.

Visited casuality for an orthopedic issue. Very organized and professional service provided. Pharmacy service within hospital can be better staffed.

Not really pleased with this hospital. I had shortlisted this hospital for my mothers total knee replacement after evaluating a couple of other hospitals in the city. The deciding factor for this hospital was Dr. Chandy. No concerns or doubts on him. Everything else is what makes this hospital terrible place to be in.
1. The nursing staff are not cooperative. When there were just 1-2 patients in the floor they were really efficient but things changed drastically once the number of patients increased to 7-8.2. The attendant is treated as a ward boy here. They will ask the attendant to buy petty items from the pharmacy, get food for the patient from canteen and all that. I mean why can’t they do it themselves. Does all other hospitals make the attendant run around for the patient’s errands?
3. The infrastructure is really really old. Seems to me like I am back to the 70’s. Multicolored slips, running to collect reports from one corner to other, common elevator for patients (both alive and deceased) and visitors, non-functional air conditioning, wobbly fans in rooms, outdated beds and the list goes on. My concern is that if you are charging fees like Manipal or Fortis then atleast try to match their standards.
4. Food. There is a general canteen at the ground floor obscured like a trash can because it is actually a trash can. I understand that this is an orthopedic hospital but that doesn’t really mean that patients will eat normal diet like bhajji, tomato rice and rasam. They need special diet. A basic coconut water is also not provided to the patient. The attendant aka ward boy has to take care and decide what needs to be given to the patient. Isn’t this the work of the dietician? Apart from that too the food is really tasteless and menu is repetitive so if someone has to stay for more than a day here try killing your taste buds as this hospital doesn’t allow outside food (including home cooked food).
5. The emergency response team doesn’t really exist here. Around an hour ago I had complained to the nursing station about a deteriorating condition to which she replied that the on duty doctor is not picking up his phone. This happened for a good 15 crucial minutes. Then when I asked her the extension to the emergency I was able to reach the doctor instantaneously. The doctor convincingly said that he will be there to attend my mother in few minutes. Around 10-15 minutes later the nurse comes back to say that doctor is busy attending to emergency and will attend in an hour. It has been around an hour and a half but the doctor isn’t here. Thankfully my mother’s condition improved itself but this is something least expected in a hospital.

HOSMAT is indeed a well known orthopedic hospital and Dr. Chandy undoubtedly is a legendary doctor but one needs to keep in mind that hospitals are not one man shows. It needs a dedicated team working round the clock. I would never recommend this hospital to anyone. Rather there are better hospitals like Manipal in Bangalore.

Just to say Thank you so much Doctor Chetan Rai won't be sufficient at all, frankly speaking in other words actually you are god for me i had my knee injury and many docs suggested that i had to go under multiple surgery with plates, Screw etc, but when i met Doc Chethan he did not even asked CITI scan report from his hospital (that time only i realized that he is not money minded), he just saw what i already had done the city Scan from different hospital.after checking all this things he just said i don't think so that you should go with surgery at all and he applied the plaster and whatever he said i followed the same and thanks to god and Doc Chetan that i am recovering so well

We booked an appointment for MRI for my mom's right elbow. Reached the Hosmat hospital on time. Spent some time on registration and payment. Since we booked the first appointment for the day, we didn't have to wait for long. MRI procedure took around 45 mins and the report was ready by the time mom came out of the scan room. We had some queries on the report, the doctor at the department met us and clearly explained the report and observation. Post which, we have further consulted one of the orthos at Hosmat and got medication for mom. Overall its a seamless process and a good experience right from registration to scan to report to consultation. And the price is moderate compared to other scan centers.

A doctor named Kannan brings bad name to this hospital. He mints money, high time!
Opens his mouth, always talks about surgery even after hearing the actual problem.
Asked me to take multiple scans on my bone, same scan in different centers because he gets commissioned for sure.

Donot go to hosmat for orthopaedic treatment. If you happen to be there do not consult Dr harish puranik. He does not have professional ethics. He will mislead and complicate it and he will illadvise and mislead.

Cure as well as possible all patients should treat in good manner the docoters very well co-operate to patients. I recommend the nurse home as well

I visit the hospital for a hand fracture. I met Dr Kannan. He was thoroughly professional. He explained the process patiently. We were happy with the overall experience with the doctor and support staff.

Worst Nursing Care ever seen. They don know how to put cannula also. They took half a day to change one cannula. Better do not admit the patients in hospital. It deserves less than single star.

As a family member I believe that the patients are suppose to be treated politely and with complete care, whereas Doctor krishnan prasad was very impolite and rude towards my brother which is definitely not acceptable. He is quite unprofessional which is absolutely bad.

Except doctor rest of the staff of very unprofessional and untrained.
1) please don't provide billing documents and receipts to staff during admission, it will be misplaced and staff will say no it was not part of file.
2) During shift handover there is no checkout procedure they will not shared details apart from file to coming staff.
3) Home therepy form is waste.nursing staff never gives this form to home therepy team you will end up calling separately for appointment.
4) There is no fixed timings for doctors, for follow-up nursing staff will keep you waiting for unnecessary workflows and by the time doctor will leave. Staff has no clue where the doctor is always they will say he is gone for rounds.

I would like to share my experience with Dr. Yogesh K. Pithwa.we got reference from one of my relative, meanwhile we have got full information in practo website. Then we got to know, he is working in Hosmat hospital.we took appointment in Hosmat hospital with Yogesh pithwa. He explain clearly about the issue, before that he requested for few scanning reports.we took all scanning from medal clumax diagnosis center (I felt fast service and Hassle free reports collection). Finally he suggested for operation.coming to the problem:
My mom has spinal L4-5 disc bulging issue, we thought it is very difficult for mom to do operation. But after discussion with Dr. Yogesh K. Pithwa, we got confidence. Finally we took admission in hospital for operation.after finishing surgery, next day itself she started walking.after two weeks she used to walk normally.
I recommend Dr. Yogesh K. Pithwa for consulting (spine issues).
I recommend Hosmat Hospital for surgery (I felt they charged less operation cost when compared to other corporate hospital).

Suggestion for Hospital management:
1. Need to improve in Nursing department and Hospital maintenance.
2. I felt canteen maintenance is too bad, even though they charged more but they are not giving good enough quality (need to improve a lot).
3. Hospital management shouldn't force to buy canteen food only (unfortunately you won't find any other food centers near to the hospital, so you can get food from canteen only).

Hospital process:
Find the root cause of problem.

Find the which department problem belongs too.

Then find the best doctors and followed by hospital.

Take token number with automated machine.

Then wait for some time to your turn.

Take consultation for known doctor and pay the money beside counters.before you consult the doctor, get the all scanning reports if you have.

However doctor will suggest the new scanning reports.

Find the best scanning center, I preferred clumax diagnose center. I got discount with reference of hospital.

Once you get the scanning reports, consult the respective doctor.

And then finalize the operation date.

Come one day before the opeartion.

The next day they will do operation, and discharge as soon as you wake up.

After two weeks consult again for checking.

Third class facilities. Govt hospitals are better managed these days. Nursing staff is pathetic. No attention paid to needs. My dad was not even taken for a bath even after three days of operation. I recommend the doctors.adm staff pathetic.

Dr Yogesh is best doctor very calm and friendly behavior explains very well I give 5 STARS for Yogesh Sir. I refer to consult him for any spinal issues. Worst thing is canteen they will charge a lot but the quality of food is extremely ZERO. I suggest better to avoid canteen food for patients for patient welfare.

One of the worst staff and worse management. They answer very arrogantly and delay in everything. Everything is slow and careless. It's a disappointment for medications. Only money minded mentality.

Doctors at Hosmat are extremely efficient. But I have a huge issue with the physiotherapy department. Extremely unprofessional, keep patients waiting with nobody attending. Absolutely no system in place and a complete lack of communication. I have gone in twice for therapy after ankle surgery & both times I've had extremely unpleasant experiences to the extent of therapists acting nasty with us for voicing opinions. Not acceptable!
