Good veg restaurant. Had been there 25 years ago. Glad to note that they have still maintained the quality. Heard that they have opened branches in Mangalore

Got packed food for the train journey. Nice decent hotel. Food 4/5. They provide separate plates and spoons for travellers.

Look at the door to toilet. Agressive and discriminatory. Zomato and Swiggy riders can't use their toilet. This shows their entitled attitude. Food was very bad too. I'll never visit them again

This place kinda lost its luxury feel.

Responsive ness from services was not so good. The way of serving had bit of down sides like for starters they dint pass forks, small things where missed.

For Dine-in, it's one of the best vegetarian restaurants. I have been enjoying occasional cuisine here for more than 10 years, and i have seen a decline in service and food quality/taste for some items from the past.
However, it's still enjoyable to eat out here.
The waiting time to get a table during peak time is high, and also, food order to be served takes a while these days (15 min average).

Something is different about this Hotel when compared to Janatha Deluxe Pathumudi Soudha, here you'll find the chef being generous as he adds a lot of cashews, dry fruits in the food.
If you buy Kaju Masala it will have lots of cashew, more than the amount required actually.
Its worth to try Dilkush in here cause the amount of fruits and dry fruits they add along with the ice-cream is a lot.

I used to visit this place regularly with my family as a kid and I loved it, but when I recently visited it, the service was horrible. We had to wait at least 40-45 minutes for them to start serving, and after they served soup had to wait again for the remaining dishes. We almost walked out. There are no complaints about the taste of the food, but we were hungry when we visited, on top of that had to wait for a long time, due to which we were unable to enjoy the taste.

Nice place to have fresh and tasty meals with friends and family. I have been to this place many times. Never disappointed here.

Once up on time this hotel was clean and the service was good.no cleaninece, don't know what happened.there is no good veg hotels in heart of the city.

Would have given 3 but for the food. So it's 3.5 for lodging 4 for food.

Food quantity is good. Not too spicy. Service fairly fast. Not very expensive for quantity.

One of the best restaurants in the city. Quite Old restaurant too but the taste is really good. Ambience is also quite appreciable.

We're a regular customer of this hotel. Food is now horrible. Phone rings continuously causing nuisance. They neither attend not ensure the disturbance is put an end to. They're interested only in online delivery. Even the shift Manger is least bothered of complaints. Only one waiter was available. I'll never recommend this hotel for dine in. I'll never visit this hotel again.

Worth the money spent. Just adequate clean, neat room at around 1000 to 1200 rs.special appreciation for deciding to put granite tops wherever possible.looks clean because of granite. Attached with quality veg restaurant and snack shop too.

Visiting Janatha Deluxe after long time and nice and hygiene place. One of the best Buns and very tasty and ended with strong filter coffee.

Tasty food. But interior needs to be changed or kept cleaner. Expecting more cleaning cause the pay is on the higher side

The thalis at this place are worth it!
But then a normal fruit juice worth 80 bucks with a nominal taste in mangalore is not great

Last time when I visited janatha deluxe before lockdown food was good but last week when I visited this hotel food was ridiculous, I ordered pannir masala one of the worst food they prepared

I visited your hotel that afternoon. I was very humiliated. The boy and girl in the cash would quarrel. Even though there were so many customers, they would quarrel. That Behaviour of theirs is shame for us. Otherwise food quality, taste, services are very good. South indian meals and north are good

They serve really fast too. We came here for morning breakfast and ate Rava dosa, 3 plate idly - Vada, Tovve, Mangalore Buns, Kesari Bath and coffee n teas. All these came just for 596rs!
They have their own parking space right behind their hotel. One of the excellent hotel I v had in Mangalore. Totally worth it!

The food was not eatable when we visited at about 9 in the night. There were not many options and the place was empty too. And it's definitely expensive for the food they serve. Cleanliness went down hill too. It was much better afew years ago.

Hotel Janata Deluxe is located beside hotel Manorama, Hampankatta. I heard a lot about their breakfast, so one fine morning we finally visited this place. We ordered kottige thove, neer dosa, Kashi halwa, Mangalore bun and filter coffee. I really loved each and every dish expect bun which was kind of cold and more sweet. I really enjoyed Kashi halwa made of ashgourd, as well as the thick milky filter coffee and chai. Ambience was decent and service was great. I think this is one of the best restaurant in Mangalore for breakfast.

Good vegetarian food available here. Cost is bit high. This place situated near Mangalore city center mall.

Dinner time on a friday evening. Wanted to try Udupi cafe opposite the City Central mall but decided to try this one.
Its just about 100 mts.from city central mall.
A quiet place with good seating. Not.crowded at all and was able to get a table immediately. Ordered a plate of idlis while my son ordered butter masala dosa. Dosa was delicious according to my son. Idlis weren't hot but were tasty. Closed it with coffee - an excellent choice as it was hot, slightly strong to my taste.
Prices are reasonable for the area, might be a bit lower than Sagar Ratna.

Food used to be really good here; especially south Indian.but recently food and service in this place
has turned out to be just below average.

Best place for Mangalore Veg Cuisines.
My favourite here is Banana podi. You will get all the Veg Mangalore Special items like Buns, Goli baje.

Waited the longest for a waiter to even come to my table. They all walked around the restaurant with this don't care kind of look. Not at all happy. The food quality is okay. Had heard a lot about this place, but not a very happy experience.

The staff is bad. Ask for a table in a language other than Tulu and there is no response. Disappointing biased service.

Most of the people will order here special thali for 160rs. The quality of food is good for that cost. Crowd is good and generally people come here for eating with there family.

First time seen a restaurant, u reach at 9 pm and most of the items in the menu card are not available. Food served also not up to mark. Chappatis were horrible. Standard come down considerably from last year's visit. Will neither visit again not recommend

Lovely service. Lovely steaming hot medu vada. Poori kurma was a disappointment. As kurma was not kurma. But something which tasted like a garlic sambar

This is one of the best Vegetarian restaurants in Mangalore. Costwise, this restaurant falls on the costly side but is always crowded because of the quality of food. They have an air conditioned section too. They have ample parking space and is on a very convenient location. Now a days they are delivering through Swiggy and Zomato too.

This year service man attitude bad.sorry to this say.we are regularly coming this hotel yearly once (after returning from mookambika temple) since last 7years. This year only we had these kind of experience. Any have pleasant experience always.
