I had food and did not stay here. Worst food ever. Please don't waste your time and money. Go somewhere else and have some good food. Hope you can understand. Appreciate it. Thanks

Good, but tariff is high for the room. Room tariff Rs. 2500/- is ok for that room and facilities. They are charging Rs. 4000/- per day. Check in time is 1.00 PM and check out time is 11.00AM. This is also not ok, check out time should be at least 1.00PM

The Non veg food is average but beverages are good. Its very near to the Chitradurga fort, just walkable. The place is very clean and well maintained. It's a simple restaurant and has a good ambiance.

Right outside Chitradurga Fort and ample space for parking. Rooms are decent but not so tidy. Just barely passes cleanliness check. Washroom is good enough for one night stay

Good location, but poor room facility.
Room 101 is very poorly located with window opening in front of restaurant with no privacy. To top it off, the room AC makes very loud noise. Now you can’t open windows nor turn on the AC.
Would suggest to call hotel and check which room is allocated. If it is 101, stay away.

The location of this hotel is good - although it's little far from the highway and deep inside the city but it's very close to the beautiful and serene Chitradurga fort. The surrounding area is peaceful and beautiful, especially in the morning. Our rooms were basic but spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable and cozy. The AC could've been less noisy but we were too tired to be disturbed. The bathrooms were well-maintained and clean with running hot water available all the time. The food was ok but could have more variety and could include some local dishes. Having a bar also would have been great. The service was smiling and helpful but could have been less slower (many of the staff were on leave). Overall, the place is simple and basic but well maintained and a good value for money.

Little disappointed with the attitude of canteen staff. But understand that only 1 person manage entire canteen

Wonderful location, clean rooms and good staff, what else you need for overnight stay:). Its bang opposite the chitradurga fort (the name i realised from guide is because of the rocks which provide a chitra (shape). At a certain point you look at each rock and can see shapes of animals - elephant, crocodile, rabbit ears, tortoise.if you walk from this hotel on the road, away from fort entrance there is beautiful small temple, as you go through a fort door arch.place has wifi, but mostly works near reception.lots of good places to see, attaching them in pic which was at the site, but definitely visit chandravalli caves, 2km from here.with kids Diwali holidays and rajyotsava long weekend, we had more than a week to enjoy long journey and set forth for a vacation from Bangalore to Jog Falls (halt) to Murudeshwar and Gokarna (halt) to Goa (halt) to Chitradurga (halt) and back to Bangalore.it was an amazing road journey, with decent roads except as soon as you enter karnataka from Goa via chorla ghat side, huge potholes and broken roads.

Right in front of fort so it's convenient. Food serving is slow here. U have to preorder it. Rest all is reasonable.

The hotel looks very well maintained and very neat. Went here for having food at their restaurant (didn't stay at the hotel). The restaurant is one of the good options to have food while visiting Chitradurga fort. They take a bit of time to prepare the food (waiter mentioned that there was only one cook) but it is pretty good and hygienic. Toilets are also available and pretty neat.

Chitradurga is a must visit place in south India. Accessible by road. Two national highways pass through chitragurga. The KSTDC MAYURA is the best place to stay if you are a tourist. It's bang opposite the entrance to fort. Very well maintained property and not at all expensive

This property is located far from the high way and one has to drive through narrow streets to reach the hotel. May be there are better routes, but we had tried the route suggested by maps. Add to that, it was Ganapathy festival time, it was very tough to drive through the narrow stretches with two wheelers parked either side of the road. Rooms were clean and decently maintained.

Very well maintained rooms with courteous staff.
I did complain about staff there not responding to our calls when I tried reaching them from Bangalore.

Very good hotel to stay near Chitradurga fort. The rooms were quite big overlooking the garden. The service was good. The breakfast could have been better. But nothing to complain about much for the value paid. The fort is walkable.

For the one a good one at the rite place, can say the best one on Chitradurga very next compound to fort.
Autos will take a nominal 40rs from bus stand

The location of the hotel is very strategic and is just 200m away from chitradurga fort. The property is very spacious and rooms were very well kept. The bathroom is also very clean. The food is decent. The hospitality is very good and the staff were courteous.

The food is good, but they take a lot of time to serve. It is very crowded on weekends/holidays.

Everything is good but they should have provided the complimentary breakfast. The taste of food also should be improved

Hotel Mayura Durg, neate and clean place. Maintaining well. There was problem with the bulb in washroom. Except that evry thing was gud. Solar water was available, hotel restaurant was grt. But had to wait to get food.

Visited this hotel for lunch only.
Around 10 tables only i.e, this hotel can serve only 40 people at a given batch.
Both veg and non veg served under one roof.
Asked for tandoori rotis with paneer butter masala, which they said as not available, instead chapatis had to choose.
No complimentary salad was given.
Food taste was good.
Hospitality could be improved.
One poor thing observed was, same guy cleans the table who receives order and serves.

Very much neatly maintained and price is very economical.we stayed in room of 5 beds. Well maintained, nice balcony, neat beds. Overall a very nice and pleasant stay. Happy that government maintained hotels are so nice to stay.

It's a deluxe hotel just infront of the Chitradurga fort.i have been there for breakfast and we had only limited food (only dosas). Hotel is very clean and very silent.

Rude behaviour from parking to delivery. Cooks are seems to be good. Unprofessional experience, usually we get far better experience from sister organisations such as Jungle Lodges and resorts (govt of Karnataka). Long way to go KSTDC, unexpected behaviour from you guys. Even our request to park our car in shades (as our Pet was inside was turned down rudely)

This is nice place for stay closer to Fort. However, quality of the food was average. Staff was very cooperative.

Decent place, very near to Fort, walkable 2 to 3 mins. Food is decent as well. Good for 1 night stay chitradurga tour.

Had been to this place for breakfast before visiting to Fort. They have limited menu for breakfast. Masala dose, Plain dose, Poori, Upma and Poha, coffee and Tea. Though they have less items food was tasty.
Place is cool with greenery, clean and well maintained, it is located right opposite to fort.

It was a good stay, neat and clean, for some issue we did not get a hot water morning. But rest of the time we got.

Fair place for stay, just opposite the famed Chitradurga Fort entry point. The area is quite vast, and the sloped and uneven topography is well maintained while developing the property.

Has many rooms, catering to both couples and large families. Has a restaurant attached. Food quality is okay. Service is reasonable, in that everything is made to order.

Expectedly, being a government (KSTDC) property you can be sure of many many shortcomings, both in terms of service and infrastructure. Response is slow. The prices are not less, but you pay it for the strategic location.

You can be satisfied, if you keep your expectations low.

The worst place ever. We had gone for having some food and we were really hungry (around 4), one of the person told that there was food and we went into the hotel and we waited for half an hour and then a waiter told that they were out of food while the same waiter was handing out loads of food to others.

Well maintained hotel by KSTDC. Near to Chitradurga fort entrance. Ample parking space. Staffs are good and helpful except the Manager. Very rude behaviour and seems he doesn't know how to talk with guests. Rooms are spacious. Neat and clean and hygiene. During our stay, heard many times shouting on staffs. It has a in house restaurant but delayed service. Food taste was good. Overall good stay.

The stay was good. The room had all the amenities. The restaurant was disappointing. Most of the food items written on the menu was not available. Staff behaviour was exactly government employee type. Don't believe them whatever they say, verify everything yourself.

Right next to Chitradurga fort, on walkable distance from entry gate. Look for room not opening towards corridor, the other side rooms have better view. Rooms are big and clean. Before assigning the rooms they properly sanitized and cleaned. They have restaurants available inside the hotel and its not that costly, however you need to order well in advance, due to waiting time. Also you can explore the restaurants nearby in city they have great options. Parking area available inside the hotel.

We stayed here as a stop over point to Jog falls from Bangalore. The hotel is located right opposite the majestic Chitradurga fort and has views of the beautiful windmills in the nearby mountains. The fort is deceptive from the outside which looks like a set of boulders, but once you go in you will be awestruck with its size. It covers an area of 1500 acres. We ended up spending couple of hours in the fort and loved every minute of it.

The hotel had good food at reasonable prices with amazing coffee. Stay was comfortable and the hospitality of the staff was really good. The rooms had a balcony with a view of the fort. We would recommend this place for a short stay.

Those who want to rejuvenate & refresh with the nature can visit 100% for the beautiful view of greenery mountains and stone hills and beautiful Chitradurga fort.resort is good about the its facilities and friendly staff, safe to stay throughout your visit, play area for childrens must visit at low budget small outings with families or friends.

It's a beautiful place, good staff and in good location to visit Chitradurga fort. Since it's located just opposite the fort, we could visit fort early in the morning as soon as it opened for the visitors. Also we could visit the places around the fort in the evening.

The place is basic n clean. Well maintained, staff are friendly except one extremely stern looking manager of the hotel, very unfriendly guy!

Hygiene. Hygiene. Hygiene. In covid times, what matters most is hygiene. And management is done excellent job. Located opposite to Chitradurga Fort, the hotel has its own charm. The staff is also very supportive, helpful. Breakfast is good. Rest of the food is below average, nothing like what we expected. Also, most expensive hotel in Chitradurga, bit worth every money because of cleanliness maintained. I had a good time.

This Government run KSTDC hotel is located bang opposite the ancient Chitradurga Fort, 200 km north of Bangalore. Not only is it a good base to explore the famous Chitradurga Fort, but is also a good stopover for someone travelling from Pune to Bangalore along the National Highway No. 48.
We stopped here for an overnight stay on the way from Badami to Bangalore in February 2018. We had booked an ac double room online. The rates are slightly higher on the weekends. The room was well furnished, neat and clean. There was a king size double bed, a small LCD TV, a full sized cupboard, a round coffee table with two sofa chairs, a writing table, and a dressing table. The bathroom size was adequate with a large boiler for hot water. There was also a nice sit-out with lovely greenery and a good view of the fort. The surroundings are scenic and peaceful.

Best place to stay in Chitradurga. Just at the base of the fort. You can start sightseeing the Chitradurga fort early in the morning as it's walking distance from the hotel.
