Hotel Mayura Valley View

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel! The food was not only of exceptional quality but also budget-friendly, offering a delightful culinary experience. The warm and welcoming staff made me feel at ease, and the emphasis on safety added an extra layer of comfort. The well-maintained rooms were the perfect complement to an overall fantastic stay. Highly recommend for a memorable and secure experience!

Good option to choose if you are alone or with your family! Hotel is located in the city centre and good staff behaviour.

Pros:
The hotel is located in a really good place.
Nearby places which can be accessed by walking: Raja seat, Omkareshwar temple, Madikeri Fort, Market.
You can have a sunset view from the hotel restaurant.
Cons:
The facility is not managed properly.
Paying 6k during season is not worth it at all.
Swimming pool is not cleaned, there are mosquitoes breeding inside the pool.

The location is good. Service and all good. Nice hotel. The staff is also good. Good sunset point. No need to visit Raja's seat.

Very bad experience while enquiring about room availability. The lady who responded to the call used slangs. Not going ahead with booking ever. Thank you.

Waste of money please don't consider this if you are spending more than 2000 per day.it's not even worth.smelly rooms beds.rooms full of mosquitos.not even having free breakfast when spent 4k per day.no hygein.no view.all the reviews you are seeing are just manipulated maybe because of government operated.never ever recommend this.

The Furniture and sofa was very old and looks very untidy. The walls also very bad. The housekeeping staff was friendly. The receptionist behavior is rude. The photos of room and actual room is totally different.

I did travel with my family and I was disappointed with the Restaurant as the Beer collection was limited and placed a monopoly. As the restaurant serves only Budweiser beer there was no other choice to make from and we had to travel towards Madikeri town to get what brands we need and we hd to enjoy the restaurant vibe out of this location. May be a suggestion to add few more collection to Beer and service the guest so there won’t be any need to go out to enjoy our drink.

I did visit the previously and variety of beers were available but I am not sure why management has made a decision to service only Budweiser which would ruin their business.

They also have part hall but with this choice it would be hard for us to decide to throw a party with limit choices.

Rooms are spacious, food is good but their Breakfast menu is small and not good.moreover they do not give you the option to go ala carte for breakfast.

The best part is the location and view, but its better to book an AC duplex room instead of an executive room as there is no view from executive room

I would say "beyond my expectations". Initially I was bit nervous while making the booking as this government run hotel, however my perception got changed completely after staying here. It was an awesome experience. Hotel is situated at the top peak where no other hotels are available, very big and spacious rooms, all the rooms shared a panoramic view from the window, awesome restaurant with reasonable prices. It cost me around 5k / per night for 2 adults and 1 child which is completely worth of it. It is also walkable from Raja's seat, lots of shops and resturants are nearby.
There are few things which can be improved, mainly breakfast menu and mattress. Other than that everything was great, peaceful and enjoyable.

For a government owned hotel this was surprisingly well kept and run. Service great in the restaurant, food was varied and full tastey. Hear views with the cloud and rain clear.

Perfect location. Huge Clean rooms and well behaved staff. The view from room balcony and restaurant was better than Raja seat.

It's a little away from town.
It has a good valley view from restaurant.
Food is not so good. I would suggest that you look for options in the town.
Buffet breakfast has few options. Anything other than the buffet counter is chargeable.

Superb view from the room. This hotel has both AC and non AC room.if you are going in Winter season between Oct to Feb.then one can opt non AC room.most of All non AC rooms are Valley view facing

Undoubtedly the best location in Madikeri Coorg with spacious rooms and well trained courteous staff. Restaurant menu is limited but out of the world service and taste. Only things I missed there were idli dosa vada

The view from the room is too good. But dining experience for a family with kids and elders is not suggestible as they offer bar with restaurant. This hotel is located at in the city centre with a beautiful view and need not to go to Raja seat to get that view.

Was here for a sundowner and early dinner. Thr place overlooks the valley and is run by Karnataka tourism.

One of the best stay in Madikeri. Very near to Raja's seat. Rooms are very neat and clean. All the required amenities are equipped. Restaurant food is very delicious. Bar is attached. Standard price. Very helpful staff. Ample parking facilities.

So many deficiencies are there in Mayura Valley View, like
1. No WiFi for the guests
2. No electric kettle in room
3. Housekeeping service very poor
4. No power backup in late night
So, before choosing this hotel, please think twice

Had a very bad experience with the quantity of food ordered, never expected such a food corruption from 5 star government reputed hotel, if you don't believe visit once and have the experience by yourself.

Don't stay at this place. Enjoy the lunch or evening drink at the restaurant balcony. If you stay, no proper room sevice. Greet the mosquitos. In fact Pathetic. They behave as if you are staying there for free. Food is below average. Chicken biriyani was yuck. Like I said good place to chill in the evening. DO NOT STAY.you are warned ️ I am giving the 4stars for the restaurant balcony

Great Views from deck.food is average. Drinks are added plus point.service is good. Views from first floor is great.

Food was okay. View from the hotel is really nice. You can enjoy the view with local food.

But service is little slow, meanwhile you can enjoy the place and view of western ghats.

Hotel has a scenic beauty, awesome location. Staff is good. But don't expect a prompt service or standard private hotel type promptness. Food is available in the restaurant but with limited options. Taste is good. Breakfast is not buffet. Value for money stay.

We visited Coorg for a short family vacation. The hotel is located on the hill top, near the Raja's seat. We got a room on the first floor which had view on the both sides - valley and the town. The room size was big and there were 1 extra bed already, so we didn't have to ask for extra one for my kid.

The entire staff is very friendly - reception, restaurant and housekeeping. They ensured that our stay was smooth. The manager Kiran was always available to make sure the guest are comfortable.

The only weak area is the food quality in the restaurant. The breakfast is a set menu and taste of lunch/dinner is just average. Since the town is nearby, you can always go there and have your food there. For vegetarians, I can suggest two restaurants - Neel Sagar and Udupi which were just opposite the Fort and nearby to hotel.

Overall value for money and great location with great staff service.

Excellent view. Clean rooms. Good service.
Costly. Early check-in charges are 25% of room booking which is v bad. Breakfast was not so good. Lunch n dinner were fine.

Like the stay in KSTDC maintained Mayura hotel. Though the tariff is higher compared to other homestay it is recommended for its perfect location and hotel view from your room. The city centre shops for local spices and chocolates are walking distance.
The fog clad Coorg will keep you mesmerised.
The staff is friendly and available for you for any need.

Good location. Walkable distance from Raja seat. Excellent view of the valley from the terrace dining area. Tasty food and good service. Ample parking area.

It has a good view from rooms and restaurant. Service both in restaurant and other departments are almost non existent or very bad. Wifi is promised but not provided. They won't help you carry luggage to and from parking. Housekeeping for resident guests are done very late, we returned ar 4 pm and it was still not started. Food is quite average. Breakfast menu is non existent, they will serve you 2,3 items on a plate. Promised start time for breakfast is 8 but they are not ready till 830. We reached at 8 am and asked if tea can be served, they served but charged for it.i had to explain that it should be part of breakfast. When I ordered tea at 930 pm, they did not accept the order.

It's Good Government Runned Hotel and Restaurant, Has Beautiful Sitout at the top of the Mountain, which is beautiful, Good Food Served and Excellent for High Tea in the Evening

This place is nearby to most of the tourist attractions and the services provided by staff is top notch!

I had the best stay during my workcation / trip. I have never felt so homely at a hotel. The view is to die for, be it any time of the day. The staff greets with the utmost warmth, and the bar along with the mouth watering delicacies served in the restaurant is the cherry on top.

Loved the perfect location. U will feel the clouds entering your room through the large glass windows, as I visited during the peak rainy season. The view of the hills from the room was really enchanting.

Location wise this property is very good. It"s just next to Raja Seat Madikeri. Staffs are good and helpful. Property is quite big n clean.the view of sunset from the hotel is awesome

I was at their restaurant and did not stay at the hotel. There is a outdoor seating with a great view of the mountains which you can enjoy with a bottle of or tea/coffee whatever your preference is. Food is great and tasty. From Raja's seat the hotel is about 200 metres.

This place is good we have checked many places in coorg, none was close to it. Budget friendly with good view

Best Place to stay in Madekeri. Just loved the stay and the scenic view from this Hotel. Absolutely fantastic!
Dinner was also Good. But breakfast bit disappointed.

Service 's slow and they do take their own sweet time to prepare items or outright say items are unavailable. If they change their mentality, resturant will soar to new heights.

Lizards can be in your bathroom due to its location and open windows.otherwise the hotel and staff are good and a beautiful view from hotel.

Nice place to spend a peaceful evening with a beautiful view. Starters were good. Main course not that great. Can do better with ambience. Value for money.

The view of hotel is really good but that is the only good part. The services and support is not satisfactory. There was a mixup in the name of the bookings by the hotel. There was no support by the manager and we were flatly told to check it ourselves. Even when after hours the issue was resolved (thanks to hdfc smart buy customer care) the rooms were given next to resturant where ppl could very easily see into our room plus the continuous chattering noise. This room was given inspite of the instructions given to manager in the morning to book a decent view room.
Overall to sum up:
Location is good for the hotel but expect gov style support & maintenance.

We had booked a deluxe room and what a view from the room. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Ample car parking, restaurant and bar with reasonable rates. However, do not attempt to try their biriyani.: P Located in the city centre that too close to rajaseat, this place is the best for a sunset view. The view throughout the day is breathtaking. The rooms are spacious, clean and hygienic. The washrooms in particular are big and absolutely spic and span. The essentials are complimentary and the per day charge is so less compared to the pricey hotels who dont even have proper views. Strongly recommend this place.

This is a brilliantly located hotel. None of the poor photos on their website do it justice. The views from the hotel are just amazing. Service is good, rooms are very spacious, and it's excellent value for money.

Has the best view of Madikeri. Service is pretty amazing too. Do choose valley facing rooms particularly to enjoy the view at all times. The restaurant also serves good food. Overall all a very comfortable stay

This place is very old and beautiful. Food is fine and you get alchohol as well. You don't have many options for food here, since this place is in kodagu wish pork was served here, I would you to visit in night and day if your looking for a view.

The KSTDC hotels and restaurants always have the best location in Karnataka! So is the case with Hotel Mayura valley view, it is situated right on top of Raja's seat in Medikere, Coorg.
Also, the hotel has a good restaurant with good sit out area. Food is so so, but the ambience is brilliant.

Food ok especially breakfast not so apprecrive staff were very nice with gud manners and respect rooms tariffs very expensive compare to orher hotels need to reduse the rates

The people who stay in hotel should have separate dining hall for food, should not add in normal hall, very costly and taste is not upto the mark,

We went to have lunch and ended up going there for dinner as well. Great food, service and the best view one could get at madikeri.

I would not over rate foods in terms of taste but good food options for anyone stays here for a day or two. I had paneer manchurian, chilli chicken, chicken garlic, chicken manchurian, Biryani, egg noodles and chicken fried rice. Breakfast was included with stay and it was sufficient. Please note there is no buffet breakfast so variety is limited. Puri, upma, semiya, set dosa are available here in breakfast. Overall this hotel is good for its sunset view, ample parking and cleanliness. Surprisingly, no separate section for bar as this could be odd for orthodox families.

Very nice hotel worth for money. Very friendly. Staff. Specially rajesh who is on receiption. They were ready at any time to support you. Food was very reasonable. Ambiance was clean. Very it self was for raha set.

Beautiful Hill view hotel.i had stay of 1 day their. My room was ac deluxe which has a beautiful window. Rooms were well kept, bathroom also huge

Nice view from the hotel room, the restaurant is excellent too for all meals. Bathrooms are dated though and need a complete overhaul with a brighter scheme of tiles

Tip: you can catch the splendid valley view from the restaurant, especially the sunset!
