Hotel Sharada Residency

We stayed in Sharada Residency for one night. We found the rooms very hygienic and clean and our stay was pleasant. The staff was very cooperative. Thanks

It was great, the hotel owner was friendly and staff were polite. The room was clean and spacious with a big cupboard.

Disappointing experience.
1) No lifts in the hotel. So the luggages need to be towed up the stairs. If the attendants are not good/strong enough they might end up breaking your luggage. This happened with me and one of the suitcases handle was broken.
2) No intercom in room. You need to press a switch in the room for the attendants to arrive. The wait can be long or short depending on how busy the attendant is.
3) The AC and warm water supply is centrally controlled from the reception desk. You need to either press the switch in your room which will take sometime for the attendant to arrive and then he will go and start the AC or hot water supply. Easier way, you can walk down to the reception and request for the AC or hot water supply to be turned on.
4) The bathroom window Venetian blinds are fixed so a continuous stream of cold air is flowing into the bathroom. In the cold season of you are taking a warm shower the chilly cold winds through the open bilnds can make it a hot and cold bath experience.
5) This place in Somwarpet is 40 kms away from Madikeri so if you are planning for a Coorg tour then it's pretty far from the main attractions especially with the winding ghat roads.

The Hotel is not in the main city, so before booking take a look at the places that you want to visit nearby. Things that I liked
- The rooms were nice,
- On point and good room service,
- Food we ordered was fine, rates were nominal,
- Hot water availability
- Shops are nearby in walking distance.

Recommended for group of 6 -7 friends who want to stay in a single room.

Decent place to stay with family. Located in the centre of the town and everything is easily accessible.

Not that great. Basic Room.
There was no electricity throughout the stay. We didn’t make a fuss of it as it was showering heavily at night. There was no electricity till the morning. They had a generator but they didn’t bother to turn it on. Food was charged extra more than the cost on ala-cart. I would suggest there are better hotels at better cost, so one should not come here as it’s pathetic

One of the best stay I had in the recent time. Hotel staff behavior and services r top notch. Cleanliness is well maintained. Definitely recommend it to the people who are planning to stay at Coorg.

Stayed here for 3 days with my wife. The hotel owner was friendly and the staff were polite. I was provided a list of the important tourist locations to visit before being checked into the room. The room was clean and spacious. TV, fan and light switches were provided near the bed and a big cupboard was provided. Bathroom was clean and the water pressure was great, hot water was available 24/7. Food was ok, but much better than any hotels in this locality (Somwarpet). Has parking facility in the basement for cars and bikes. All tourist spots are within 40 kms within this property. Madikeri is 40 kms (1hr distance) from here. Overall, the hotel is well planned out and the rates are very reasonable for the services offered.

The rooms doesn't look like what's shown in the pictures and the flush wasn't working. But it is pretty cheap so it balances out I guess.

We had booked a 6-Bed Dormitory and it was pretty spacious for the 6 of us. The beds were comfortable enough. The early morning view from the balcony was awesome! Room Service was also available. The food was also good. In short it's a good hotel to stay for a single night.

Super happy with the stay, serene and peaceful.away from hustle bustle. I'd recommend this place for the following reasons:
1. New property
2. Educated and well-mannered owner/host
3. Budget friendly
4. Round the clock hot water
5. Sanitized and clean rooms

Flip side:
1. No lift
2. No ac (not required usually)
3. Room service is horrible
4. You will get food 1 hour after you order

Despite its minus points, this hotel is unbeatable in this range for cleanliness, and hospitaliry.

We had taken two twin rooms for two nights on 06.11.21 and 07.11.21. Rooms were neat and clean. The bed was comfy. Mr. Nischal is very accomodating and cooperated for our additional requests. Without any doubt, a good stay at Somwarpet.

The hotel Sharadha hotel was just super fits in the budget, awesome staff they were really courteous. The place had all the necessary things around be it medical shops, petrol pump, temple bus stop. The room and hotel premises was clean and the well maintained. Will opt the same hotel the next time.

This was my second time visiting the place. The stay was really good as always. Spacious rooms and delicious food. I would recommend others to stay here.

Probably the best option with not high prices
Rooms are too small and parking is bit difficult and underground
No lifts
Prices are around 1000 to 1400
They ask they can bring food if you needed and they are very good behaved

Had a pleasant stay at sharada residency this past weekend. The hotel is easily accessible through maps and is in the center of the town. Has large rooms with balcony and food could be ordered. The owner helps everyone with the itinerary and even guided me with the routes. Definitely worth staying again.

Large rooms, neat & well maintained. Very helpful staff & Room service was good, food was nice, secured parking, Nikhil & Nischal (owners) were helpful is planning my itinerary they suggested good places near by.

Stayed with family for a week, neat n clean service, room boy vami was very helpfull in arrainging all services and guiding us must visit place around the region.hotel is placed in perfect location, easy to reach any part of beautiful coorg.i can say its the best budget hotel.

The Room was extremely clean. I have booked a balcony with a view. I completely loved the stay. Since, the photos justified the way it looks in reality. None other stay I can guarantee in coorg is even close to this.

Quick Suggestion: Please, add a kitchen so that we can enjoy the food as top class as your stay.

The rooms are very clean and tidy. Room service is good and quick. The balcony view is top notch. I give 4/5 rating overall to this Hotel.

In Somwarpet you can’t find any good rooms around, this is to be the best rooms with everything perfect, I couldn’t find any flaws to comment.
Most of all is very friendly owner and staffs too. Climate there is very cool even in this hot summer.

Best boutique Hotel in Somwarpet, Coorg. We had booked 6 rooms for 2 nights, for our cousins marriage. Rooms are clean and well maintained, with family friendly staff. Location of the hotel is the main plus point - it is in the town but with splendid view, ample of parking and many food options near by.

The best place in and around with the reasonable price. Had difficulties finding a decent place earlier wich is very close to most of the must visit places in Coorg. Well mauntained and friendly staff. Reccommended for everyones as its the best option in the place with the reasonable price and good quality

The best place to stay in Somwarpet, very clean rooms and very good hospitality. Works out very economical for a tourist.

Stayed at Sharada Residency for two days. Everything about this place is just perfect.location, rooms, housekeeping and everything. Nischal and his team took good care of every little thing that made our stay worthwhile.
