HuliKallu Homestay Sakleshpur

They provide very low quality food, we are suffered 2 days for health issues and services is not good and they charges very high prices but they not providing good quality services and they not giving importance to tourists health.we are very disappointed after visit hulikallu resort and we wont refer to any one to visit hulikallu resort. Thank you

Swimming pool is dirty, rooms are dirty and smelly, no proper car parking, employees treats gusts like a hostel boys.food is average not recommended,

2nd time visited with the big teams, and not worth for the money I feel, because of low quality.

Food was ok ok not very tasty and quantity
Service is not much good
They made food charges more but quantity wise very less and taste also not much good this time.

Was a good experience, must visit in rainy season so that can be played very well in the rain. Also view will be very nice in rainy days.

Fantastic place to visit with family and friends. Food is awesome and evening bonfire with drinks and snacks will be unforgettable moment.

Road from Devaladakere to location is not so good, except that All the activities are Good, group members must play mud volleyball if not throw ball in that court can enjoy to max. Boating also good. Then food and snacks were nice. All there service people are kind and good.

The location is amazing and request everyone to be a part of trekking with the guidance of locals!

The travel to the stay is only on a rocky terrain, off-road type.
Other than that, the activities are good, clean, well maintained, and friendly staff.

Cricket, music, volleyball basketball, swimming, boating, trekking, can keep you busy the whole day.
And the place is very distant from City lights.
You'll be able to see the great night sky if less clouds.

Very nice resort homestay, lots of activities, zip line is very adventurous, pool available, staff Rajesh is very helpful, trekking is moderate & not easy. Overall good place for weekend for family or friends.

I really liked the hospitality. Reason for 5star is Overall stay, locality, aminities (especially separate fire camp for individual team) and quantity of food & Stay was really worth for the money and enjoyed more than expected.

This place is located in the very fantastic location and the home stay people are taking a very good care.
I also liked the short trek they took to nearby place, walk in coffee plantation, Zipline and mud volleyball was memorable one.

Very nice place in midest of wild nature. Plenty of activities, Estates, trekking, water games, zip line, Camp fire etc. Cost effective yet entertaing. Arrangements & food were good.

We have Gone To the resort couple of days back. There is no proper facility and service given by them. In the manual there were asked to take to the trekking early morning, they didn't take at all.
Coming to the activities, soo silly to call them as activities. Such a Nonsense games were considered as adventure activities.
Pool was ok, food was also not upto the mark, less verities and normal food was being served.
Rooms were clean and Hygiene.
Situated in very exterior of Sakleshpur, too boring, And Very expensive for how they treat us and the ambience they offer.
I don't recommend This place Guys, U will get better stays with good service food and activities.

Fantastic place to stay on the lap of nature. Roads are not good till homestay. Staffs are good and takes care. Foods are also homemade.

Very unprofessional in management
Food is unhygienicall prepared and served. Same food is warmed up and given for breakfast lunch and dinner.
Rooms are not equipped with proper linen. Cheap quality. No room service. 3  construction labour from Bihar management show. There is no cleaning and mopping on daily basis. Absolutely overpriced. No hot water for bath. Slightly less than lukewarm temperature.   Constant power cuts and there is no back up mechanism. There are spiders in the bathroom.   Some stray dogs behave like owners of the resort.
All I all this property is not worth your visit.

Superb Place, we enjoyed a lot. Excellent service, very polite and courteous staff. They took us for a trekking, really awesome, All amenities available including adventure sports.

Perfect place for a weekend masti. Fantastic climate and scenery near and in the resort. Especially resort service was very very good. Enjoyed a lot with my mates.

This homestay is located in the middle of the coffee estate. It has a wonderful nature view from the rooms. The food provided was good and they also prepare food according to our taste. Coffee is the best and it was one of th best coffee which I have ever tasted
Morning trek to dhai gudda was a crazy experience with leaches but the final view was mesmerizing. There were a lot of activities such as rain disco, water activities like zip line, boating and fire camp. A very friendly resort. Recommended for family and friends.

Mainly the climate was soo crazyy!
The one who takes care of the activities is a person named as Kiran. He is such a gentle man who takes care of everything at the resort.

Good place with many amenities for reasonabke price. The staff are very friendly and the owner Ashok is very co-operative. But food rates are very high which need to be reduced to attract customers again

Worst service, money minded owner and no respect at all to Guests, so big NO to Hulikallu resort!

We had worst experience in Hulikallu resort! I would not suggest anyone to go that resort. They will charge very high price (a bomb) for any additional starters, you don't believe chicken dry will cost you 1200-1400 rs/kg plus you may also need to pay for additional travel charges.
There's lots restrictions like we are not allowed carry our food to outside dining area, and if we have to do that we have to extra money and when we questioned on that, the owner of the resort told us to vacate the if we are not comfortable with that prices.
There was no respect to guests, not provided any service and with that when he asked vacate we have a heated argument and vacate the resort immediately.
He charged 500/rs for simple lunch including for driver's lunch. No resorts will charge it for driver's food.
So wasted our entire day for travelling to this so far away resort, wasted our time and money, and our entire friendship day trip is spooled. Thanks Hulikallu resort for your worst service!

I was contacted through fb tour group and my experience was really bad!
I would provide both pros and cons, though cons are more:
Pros
Lunch and dinner was good with fish chicken and egg
The area is quite big with a swimming pool
There are other activities like zip line, boating and other rope activities
The staff was helpful
Cons
The location is very bad, its quite in the interiors with inaccesible public transportation
Road conditions are pathetic, and there is no proper road
The rooms are very damped with min lighting, the bed would feel completely wet
The rooms are very old and not well maintained
The dining area is separate and would be inaccesaible for elderly persons
Though they have boating and all but its very poorly maintained, grass has grown all over and not at all maintained
There is no accomodation for drivers and they have charged 700 extra for his meal
The breakfast is pathetic with only roti and chatni and lemon rice

I would not recommend this place!
Please dont delete this review and make changes to the property so that customers are satisfied.

One of the best resort, I am frequent traveller, going out once in month. This resort is very good with food, cleanliness, lot of greenery, very peaceful.
Will visit again.

Resort is in good location, rooms are spacious staff also friendly. Major concern are food and road conditions to reach this location. We had stayed here for 2 nights. Out of 9 adults 4 adults were started voimitting and loose motion due to pathetic food. Starters are very bad including veg and non veg. Rice was stinking and had to wait for long time to get roti. This guys don't no how to cook even authentic and non authentic. I would really not recommend this place to anyone. Even after informing the incharge manager here ashok he was least bothered about the concern.

Fun place away from city, went there 3 times and still want to go back again. Lot of games and activities. Amazing Experience. If you want to run away from hectic City Life. You need to visit this amazing place. Great food. Nice Hospitality. Highly recommended for long weekend. Do try all the activities like boating, zipline, handball, bonfire, sunset point, waterfall, or just relax and enjoy the nature at its best.

Agree that the location is awesome. But if given a rating for service from 0 to 10 I would give '-1'. The worst service ever I have seen.the rooms are really unhygienic. We get a bad odour as soon as we enter rooms. And we a family of 10+ just shifted from there to another resort nearby. Flush in washrooms never worked. And a single cot was converted to double cot just by using a bigger mattress, so when people tried to sit
on cot the bed just fell.please don't get fooled by seeing pictures. That is where we failed. We had a high expectation and entered the resort but came out just in 2 hrs with a really bad experience.

It's a good getway place. There is a wonderful trekking to the hilltop and other rope and water activities located in between the nature only thing the road to the resort is very bad.

It was good experience. Room is too small for 9 members, anyhow you wont spend much time in room due to other activities. Camp fire is available in the night. Food is complimentary. If you need snacks you need to order for it and it cost extra and price of it is high.

This is one of the best resort to visit in Sakaleshpura. Amazing service and excellant staff, Rooms are clean and very spcious, resort has many activites which keeps you occupied. We had an excellent time and heading back with lot of memories. Thanks to the whole team for making our trip very memorable.

Place is good with nice location in between the mountains of Western Ghats and the forest.
Coffee plantations are all around and hiking to the nearby mountain is a must.
Food is mainly Malabar style and the taste is good.
U will have ample activities like boating zip line and all and u can take a stroll in evening to enjoy in the lap of nature.
Cottages are cleaned and well maintained.

Place is excellent. Great cottages they have. Dormetry is very small for 4 family occupancy.

Certain safety measures for bunker beds are needed

Very very worst experience we had in this resort. Firstly, while booking they mentioned malnadu style food but we didnt see anything like this in this resort. Its not a fresh chicken.overall food is horrible. Very less activities. Rain dance is good. When booking this resort they told we can play music till 11PM but they switched off by 9.30 itself. There is no proper planning in organizing activities. I recommend dont visit this resort at any cost instead visit some good resort even if prices are high.

After lockdown me and my hubby just wanted to have some fresh air, so we visited Hulikallu resort
It was week day time, took cottage, price was very less compared with the food, activities provided.
We were really looked after well.
Very safe, secure. Big property.
Really enjoyed lot. Will visit again

Have visited with family in November, great place with good amenities.
Food was great, kids also enjoyed lot with lots of games availability. I recommend 5* a must visit place.

Home stay to recharge yourself. Mid of nature with various activities like swimming, rope walking, visit to sunset point, trampoline, trekking, good food, comfortable stay and nich more activities.

Had a wonderful stay this property, we a group of 15 members visited this homestay in the month of march and had a great stay.with a price range of 2000 per person with three time buffet was a reasonable price which also included all the activities which was offered in the homestay.

Good home stay with lot of activities to do around. The location is great with lot of coffee garden, mountain, fields and play areas. The place is connected well with road, even though it is remote from town. Good cottages and dormitory facilities. The food served was fresh and good. The support of staff was pleasant. Activities include swimming, boating, mud volleyball, zip line and rain dance. The trekking routes near are a bit tough, but never miss the awesome experience

The homestay is worth more than 5 star rating, the reason for giving 4star is condition of roads to reach homestay, all the vehicle's upto force traveller can reach the homestay with little effort, don't plan minibus or bus for the trip.

Homestay:
Very Good place to visit in monsoon, the homestay is located in isolated place far from traffic, nice view from the cottages, the food provided was delicious.

Activities:
1. Swimming pool (small in dimensions but u can plan activities accordingly to enjoy, we played throw ball)
2. Rain dance (good well maintained)
3. Mud volley ball (don't worry about your clothes, health etc. U should try this atleast once, crazy enjoyment)
4. Zip line (awesome experience, but it will last only for 5sec, hope they increase that)
5. Trekking (a very good viewpoint for all the nature lovers)
6. Sunset point (a very good team snacks point with good location)

Staff:
Kind, helpful, very cooperative (5star for staff)

Cons:
Road conditions (1)
Far from nearby shops (plan and carry required things once reached u cannot go back and buy thing's)
Swimming pool depth

This place is really treat to visit. I wanted to give 5 stars but giving 1 star for the poor road connectivity
Road is very narrow not in good condition. There is stretch of 1.5 km of mud road where our bus was struck due to land slide. We struggled for almost 3 hours to move our bus.

Food: food offered is really delicious. Authentic malenadu dishes such as kadabu, shavige, were surved.

Amentiites:
Swimming pool height is 3-4 ft but sufficient for group of 10-12people to play and swim.
Cottage rooms were really cool and offer a pleasant stay. No AC's in room and actually not required cool weather. Hot waster available 24/7.
Lot of small insects in bathrooms which some people may not like

Activities
Rain dance, zip liner, mud valley ball, boating and trek offered were really nice.
We really enjoyed Night fire camp as it really suites cold weather. (Fire camp is also available with closed roof)

Staff: staff is very friendly and managing the place very nicely.

Hopefully road conditions will improve in future.

Visited this place in month of June. It's one of the best places in this area for stay. Staff were very co operative. All 3 meals were lip smacking, prepared is local cuisine style.

I would give this place a minus star if that option were available! Terrible homestay overpriced for the facilities provided! No power backup and no sleep because of powercut, no towels or soaps provided unclean washrooms (vomit dried in a basin) and one charging point one fan and one attached washroom to be shared between 14 people in 1 room and still pay 2000 per head! Food was below average. I have never come out of a homestay feeling this bad. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Greedy, stingy and money minded owner charging extra for everything! I would recommend you to visit this place only if you want to have a horrific holiday experience feeling cheated.

Owners are very money minded! I've never seen any home stay charge for such puny things such as a broken glass! The rooms lack well done interiors, and also basic amenities like backup power supply. I've seen better rooms for the same price. Moreover they charge 1800 per head inspite of stuffing 13 people into a room which resembles a dormitory with junk beds. Never had such a bad experience. Food has excess of baking soda prevents u from eating more. Just a waste of time and money. I recommend people go somewhere else more worthy.

Huli kallu, we had stayed in this place for a day with 18 people and trust me I could give a negative rating without any doubt. The place was too interior. Firstly, charging 1800 rupees for a dormitory without even basic amenities like Electricity! Common bathroom and shared with another group of boys where there was no privacy. And to add to it, they had puked in the washroom. Coming to the activities just a pool, raindance and near boating in a small pond. All I can say is pictures can be deceiving at times and this place proves it right.

I feel ashamed to tell, this resort stay is very poor in hospitality. No proper food, road journey is really a hell, no medical assistance nearby, if any emergency, god only can help us. No proper safety nor electricity, no generator facility, I don't mind to pay more if there is proper facility. I have stayed in many resorts, but this is a very bad resort. If anybody wants to try this resort, good luck to them

People don't know how to behave there. If you are not from sajleshpur then the owners will loot you for silly things.
