One of the hidden gems of Bengaluru, a very well maintained library and centre for art gallery Excellent environment. Very peaceful and quiet for book lovers. Kudos to the staff for maintaining the institute so well
We organised a programme here. The environment is very welcoming, and offers an intimate setting for a public event. There is good parking and facilities, and cultural space has been nicely utilised.
I remember World Culture library from my childhood days almost 40 yrs back to date. The library had an awesome reading room, which was accessible free of cost and had an excellent collection of TinTin and Asterix comics.
Thereafter I went there recently in Aug 2023 for viewing a Kannada theater drama / play. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the auditorium, though small. It was neatly maintained and had moderately good acoustics. Parking for cars is fairly spacious at the back of the compound.
I enjoyed the play act. Looking forward to visiting the Library again.
A huge old library of South Blore which I frequented as a student! Also a hub for art classes/exhibitions, cultural programs, book releases, lectures and the like!
As a kid growing up in 90s, this was my favourite place.the library was amazing and peaceful. The only grouse I used to have were the library timings which would close for lunch at 12 and reopen only at 4pm Haven't been here since the start of this century sadly but want to take my son.does anybody know if the children's library is still free for kids to sit inside and read?
Since the lockdown, everything has normalised except this place. Not sure why such a nice place needs to be closed for public. Very peaceful, however, staff here could be found very lazy and not let you enter for no reason (this is what they want). Excellent for kids. Even though i gave this a 5 start rating, it is only for the locality & not for the library. On entering, we can see the importance of art and culture. Famous artists and people come here at least twice a week to showcase their talent in art, music & dance etc. Do visit this place at least once.
Nice place to host classical and art related shows, with ample parking. Not a huge place but decent sized with older types environment. The art gallery is pretty small with around 30 drawings which are on sale.
One of the best libraries for kids and adults in Basavanagudi. Well maintained, place to sit and read, good amenities, supportive staff and experienced librarians and hundreds and thousands of books to choose from. Newly refurbished Wadia Hall hosts a plethora of cultural activities. The newly introduced Art Gallery is a treat to the eye with many artists showcasing their talent. This is a place one would want to visit again and again.
Nice, small auditorium with seat capacity of 150-200. Speakers are placed for good audio experience. As the name suggests, mostly this auditorium is for cultural programs and not entertainment purposes.
Very nice place to do events and programs. Very co operative staff. We can walk in a museum where our ancient history and culture is exhibited. Also there's a library. Then what else do we need. So it's a good place to visit
The art Gallery is a must to visit, where different artists display their works and it keeps changing every week to 10 days. Wadia Hall is a small Auditorium with seating capacity for small functions. Parking is few, hence have to park vehicles esp 4 wheelers near the park
