Shame on organizers of Handloom Weavers expo and concerned department

today I visited this place to meet weavers if I get any old people of my age who are weaving traditional

I felt like crying because maximum stalls kept powerloom n mixed sarees saying it's Handloom

Only Santhipur Kolkata bhagalpur davanagere mangalagiri shops kept handwoven

Remaining all kept mix half mix fake silk and powerloom

How can they allow powerloom mix half mix sarees in the name of handloom

Totally disappointed

A place to exhibit art and craft from various artisans of different parts of india, it is built in such a way that, all age groups can roam around easily (as there are many steps, it has a ramp for convenience of people who can’t use steps). Once a month different artefacts and handloom materials are on for sale. They have one permanent shop for handloom sarees and materials

Good place to visit during exhibition sale, i visited today for Gujarat sale and found lot of varieties of materials to buy. They even conducted daandiya today.

Must visit for handicrafts.sarees.artifacts.handlooms.its must we should promote artisans.if buy these products.

Couldn't get to see the whole thing as I was in a hurry but can say it's a great place.
It offers the place completely free of cost, be it entry or the spots for the sellers and i think it's cool.

Well planned place, yet on the outskirts so might be difficult to reach. Has some handicraft exhibitions going and a couple of stores that are there permanently. Also houses a coffee shop. Children might enjoy being around this place.

Wonderful place to shop Indiginous products directly from the manufacturers, weavers.
Exhibitions cum sales were very regular pre- covid. Now its reduced due to the present condition.
Definitely a must visit place if you are aesthete.

Great place to find wonderful handlooms. The expo doesn't seem to be crowded around 5pm so had a lot of time to move around

Good to spend time, less crowd, ramps are provided along with stairs, products representing specific geographical location or states are exhibited.

It’s a exhibition cum sales arena. Where artisans from all over the country come and display their products. It’s a beautiful landscape area set with permanent and temporary stalls. A family can spend nice time around shopping artificial jewelry, toys, brass collections, art work, clothing, variety of sarees, children’s dress, bed spreads, quilts and lot more. There is a restaurant which will fulfill your apatite after a brisk shopping spare. Nice place to enjoy and shop
