A place for all your Veg & Non Veg needs, quick bites, Makkah cafe Lime tea is a must try, Khazana Biryani, hang out adda from Youngsters to Oldies. All in one place.
Try kova naan, kova coconut mix naan and keema samosa from Makkah cafe while you are there.the best naan I ever had. Also try plum cake from the bakery next to Makkah cafe (and don't try anything else there. ;)
Great place for non veg street food. Hit up fanoos and try the beef biriyani. When you enter you'll see a big juice place board, whatever you do don't drink it. It's horrid syrup and soda
I go here for prayers but the places like fanoos and sidiqui are a must go places they sell awesome beef and parothas. I go the babul hawaiz for prayers and it is a beautiful warm place to be in
Your one stop shop for meat and fish. Be it beef or lamb, you have one shop to meet your meaty instincts. Difficult to notice from out side though. Most of shops accept UPI as payment option. Of someone denies payment through UPI or card, just move on, there are plenty of them accepting UPI. The stalls get crowded towards the weekend.
Surprisingly most of butchers speak fluent English. Good to see them learning languages to ensure no customer leaves the stall because of language barrier
Parking can be an issue at peak times. Of late you can also find vegetables and fruits also being sold under the same roof. The place is relatively hygienic compared to other butcher shop.
Recommend if you are a big fan of red meat. The quality of the meet is excellent. Can make the different if two meat from different place cooked in the same pot.
Special meat (tender) available during Christmas for barbeque.
This place is also known for its exotic fruits and vegetable (Chinese cabbage n pepper of all color n greens and fresh tofu) before big basket or other fruit n vege stall offered you.
It is an old dilapidated place, in dire need of a new market. Being very near to my residence it is a conveniently located market for groceries. I combine my marketing with a morning walk
One of the old market in Bangalore. You'll get all what you need for your kitchen. In mornings you'll get fresh fish, Vegetables also fresh here. Mutton/chicken stalls also available.
Its a calm place.not too crowded, easy for your shopping. Two wheelers parking available besides the market.
Famous for its iconic old style structure, survived the test of time and modernisation around. But the tea you get here at Makkah cafe is really divine. Must visit if you want to see Bengaluru's heritage and specially during Ramdan months.
Historical market but most of the shops are closed. I have a lot of childhood memories. Wish government would redo the place and give it a new beginning. People please don't let the market die.
If you are a non vegetarian. Nice location to purchase. The market is segregated really well.fish stalls.mutton stalls.nice eateries.fanoos. Is a great option for rolls if you match grocery shopping and munching is a great spot
This is a British Era market. Thats why the name Johnson. U get very good beef here in all the stalls. U can ask for any cut that u want. But only go on Sunday mornings. Other days the beef is not fresh.
Johnson market is a landmark in the city. It's dirty but you get meat, poultry and fish here. Like any other place in India, the smells are nauseating and it's littered with garbage.
One of the few places left in Bengaluru which has the old school charm. It's as if it's stuck in a time warp. Cleanliness is important in the surroundings and hope the authorities engage more often.
Utter dissappointment.there is nothing there except some fresh meat and vegetables shop.two or three regular hotels are there which serve regular non veg.nothing special for street food lovers
