Ultimate! Most authentic and homely food. A lot of variety. Everything served hot. Owner himself takes the orders, suggests dishes to try and very humble. Must try! Best 900/- spent ever!

We waited for almost 45 minutes and the fiid was not delivered. I was able to see only 2 people serving food and doing the cleaning work I was completely frustrated after 45 minutes and walked out without having my food. The restaurant had just 10 to 15 people eating and they couldn't service everyone properly.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE FOOD HERE.authentic, hygienically prepared and so tasty!
Must have their fish thali, the prawn in mango curry, fried mackerel, the squid fry and eggs in onion gravy. A special mention for the red rice which is so unique and good!
Actually have anything and I am sure you will love it!

It's a good quiet place. Just what I would look for during these covid times. The food is good.

If you want to take outing in low budget you can come to hear. Hear all the food test its good and also all the restaurant guy is a good and echo friendly.

Didn't have a great experience at all. This place was good at one point and maybe has deteriorated. Or maybe I had a one off case. Went here with a group and food was way below average. The fried fish hardly had any meat. The chicken felt rubbery and hard - maybe it was kept for long before being put into the sukkah gravy. Overall, nobody liked the food.

Tasty food but definitely over priced. Vedikettu Biriyani definitely gives a Vedikettu in head once u see the quantity and chicken pieces.

A kerala restaurant. Bit old one. Needs renovation. Food was okay. Had biriyani. It was average. More kerala dishes are available. Not much pricey. Budget friendly restaurant. We went there after 10 at night and no other customers where there. Kinda deserted. They can make it as a lively kerala restaurant with a little effort like renovation and all.

Worst experience I had ever regarding quantity of food. I have ordered 2 items one irachi ularthiyat for 190rs and one chicken roast for 180rs. The quantity I received was very very low. I don't know whether they have value for our money. I will never recommend this restaurant to anybody in my life.

Serving time will take up-to 15 mints. Little costly when compared with other Kerala restaurants. No parking space. Breakfast you will get from the ground floor. It's all Kerala breakfast. It is cheap. Also after 3 pm will get Kerala snacks for good price. On the second floor lunch and dinner are available. Good taste and neat place. Must try Kozhi porichathu, chemeen mango curry, chicken stew and pot biriyani.

It's a proper Kerala themed restaurant.
Serving people etiquette and the food says it all.
Karimeen is well cooked and fresh.
One of the best sulemani chai I've ever had. This place is situated in the midst of buildings, so pardon the sound. Finding a place to park your vehicle will be an issue.
But food is never going to disappoint you.

Prices are slightly higher. Didn't like the Onasadya on onam day, had some expectation seeing the hype around and the price. Recommend for neatness, service and leisure. Usually find with some good offers in Ubereats.

Well cleaned interior. I had non veg meals with sardine fry from there and was good. Got a delicious kheer from there. Fare was bit high.

Went for Onasadya to this place. Really bad. The dishes were of a normal South Indian meal. Who serves dal, beetroot and green peas with potato for a Sadya? And for a, normal vegetarian meal, this was overly priced. Was missing all the main Onam dishes. Really disappointed. Don't waste your money here thinking you are in for a great Onasadya. Malabar would be a better choice.

Amazing food. We ordered appam veg stew and veg biryani. Everything was very good. Loved it. Wish to visit this place again soon.

This place food is sooo good such kerala authenticity and lovely service. A quite place to come and have nice appam and chicken stew. Very underrated. Give it a try for sure ️

I was planning to go here since ages. Today evening, I was their first customer and the place looked so calm and serene. They had put on Cricket match and I picked a spot where I could see hustle bustle of Jeevan Bima Nagar. Ordered deep fried squid, Meen Curry, Appam and Parotta. Everything was so so delicious, but I especially loved Squid. It was not overdone, and was chewy enough. That preparation had base of finely chopped onions, tomatoes and ginger with the hint of Pepper and it was lovely. They serve you warm Jeera water instead of regular water, which doesn't let you overeat and helps with digestion too. Utensils used were squeaky clean and the boys waiting the tables were fresh and pleasant. They did not have that stale look that most of the guys waiting the tables have and I liked this bit. Washbasin area was clean as well, equipped with handwash and tissues.

Loved this whole experience. Will visit again for sure.

Other things that I tried (and were equally delicious) are Mathi Fry and Chemmeen Roast. Chemmeen Roast is Prawns prepared in thick solid gravy of Onions and Tomatoes. It's little bit on the saltier side, so you might want to go easy on that bit.

Very good option for lunch if you are planning to have Kerala meals.
Biryani is not recommended (personal opinion)

More than enough tables are there. So don't have to wait even if its crowded.
Furniture is arranged nicely in a single big hall.
Parking of 4 wheeler will be a problem.
Restaurant is on the second floor. No wheelchair accessible entrance.

Another hotel with past glory. Food was tasteless so was quality. TOO BAD considering it was iconic for kerala food till recent past.

Service and food are above average. But people wont speak the local language. They know only malayalam and hindi.

Food quantity is sufficient for 1 person. But the rates are on little higher side when compared to other joints.

Taking too much time.fish fry looks like the old fish they are reheating and serving.no taste. Kappa biriyani and porota is super.

Too costly for fried items. 120 rs for a single small piece of fried fish which is not acceptable at all. No logic for pricing the items. Never recommend to anyone

Very worst experience we had. Went for a group lunch. Being an old kerala restaurant in Bangalore, we thot of gathering there.

First of all service is very bad. Only 1 person available in Cash, order taking, serving, billing, online orders etc etc.he s running all around hotel.
They are giving priority for online orders and not at all caring abt the people's inside.

Food quality is very very poor. Finally we told that person about the food quality. He s least bothered.

Food quality is substandard. Service is too poor. The feedback also is not taken seriously. The staff is arrogant as if they are feeding us free of charge. One of the worst food destinations I have been in Bangalore. There is nothing Kerala in this restaurant other than few Malayalam Songs. They have lost the quality, and I personally felt wastage of money and time.

Pretty decent food and ambience. Moderately priced. I'd rate it 3 as nothing was great or outstanding. I'm not a Keralite so, I would't want to comment on authenticity of the taste.

Yesterday (5th March 2019), had a horrifying experience where one of the appams ordered by my friend (during the dinner time around 9.17 pm) had COCKROACH on it. You can verify the authenticity of this factfull information from kayal (jeevan bhimanagar Branch) front office staff namely siresh.

It’s also fact that the owner has apologized and also gave discount on the bill amount. He said the reason is because of pest control application a day before and there after assuered it won’t happen in future.

I totally agree we all make mistakes but the most important thing is what we do about it (implementation of corrective measurements) ?

Went here for kerala porotta and kerala style meat but was a bit disappointed.and as usual found the hand washed thinned by water. What's with the thinned handwash for cost saving it's usually these little things along with good food that attracts crowd.

Good Kerala food. Tea is awesome. Ambience is nice. Only drawback is you have to go through a narrow passage and stairs as it's on second floor of the building. Worth visiting once at least.

A traditional kerala hotel. Everything inside resembles to kerala tradition. Good food and service too
