The climb to the rock base, though a bit steep, is a delightful 30-minute adventure, surrounded by lush forest greenery and vibrant lantana bushes. The path adorned with little towers of pebbles showcases the touch of countless visitors.

At the rock base, discover three interconnected caves, a modern marvel, housing shrines dedicated to a chaturmukhalingam, Ganesa, and Devi. The bas-relief sculpture panels embedded in the cave walls add a cultural richness to the trek. Do note that the shrines open after 10 am.

Situated approximately 70 km from Bengaluru, Kailasagiri is a perfect retreat to commune with nature. However, be mindful of the playful monkeys along the way. Kailasagiri truly offers a unique blend of natural beauty, cultural significance, and a refreshing escape from the city hustle.

A moderate difficulty trekking spot.
Walk up to the Hanuman temple and deep trek to shiva temple is awesome. Don't miss the Sita Kund on top of the hill.

Good vibes when you are entering into the cave. This cave temple has a unique four faced Shivalinga

Amazing place.it was around 70 kms from HSR layout.we reached there at around 2: 00 pm.though it was a bit sunny at that time, still it was not hot at all because of the strong wind at the hill top.if any elderly person is accompanying you, then they may find a little difficult in climbing up to the cave (as you have to walk around 400-500 mtrs). Sufficient area is available for parking.

We went there around 7: 15 am because we don't check the timing for when the cave open, the timing is 10: 30, it is good place to visit early morning if you guys like rides than it is 70-90 km far from Bangalore and while going there we saw the sun rise it was beautiful. The view from the up is very beautiful around the caves there is mountains and in the morning when the fogs surrounding the mountain that is so good.

Beautiful location to visit on bike. Be there very early to enjoy the beauty of the place. There is a temple on top too

Its a calming experience to be inside the cave and visit the temple. Not much to do apart from this at the foothills. However one can visit the Hanuman Temple on the adjacent hill. It is a bit of an adventure ride to it but the scenic beauty while riding/driving to that Temple is simply amazing. Not many people know about it so it is comparatively remote. There is also a decent trek from Hanuman temple to the peak which takes another 30 minutes if you stop, rest, click pictures and go. From the top the view is simply awesome. Must go for all solitude seekers.

New temple carved out from the granite face. Steep climb on uneven surface but worth seeing. Nice views and picture points especially during sunset time.

As you reach the place, you will need to walk/trek for 7-10 mins from the parking area.
A newly carved out cave with dieties that are very appealing and pleasing to the eyes.
There's a party hall as well here. Loved the Shiv Ling out here.

ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿವ ಪಾತೇಶ್ವರ ವಿನಾಯಕ ಮತ್ತಿತರ ದೇವರ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಕೋಲಾರ ಕೈವಾರದ ಕಡೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ನೋಡಬಹುದಾದ ಸ್ಥಳ ಇದಾಗಿದೆ.
ಇನ್ನೂ ಅಚ್ಚುಕಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಬಹುದಿತ್ತು.
ಪಾರ್ಕಿಂಗ್ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯಿದೆ. ಕೋತಿಗಳ ಉಪಟಳ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿದೆ.
ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಕೆಳಗಡೆ ಮರಗಳು ವಾತಾವರಣ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿದೆ.
ಮಳೆಗಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಕೆಲವೆಡೆ ನೀರು ಹರಿಯುತ್ತದೆ

Good place for temple visit. Covered by tree and beautiful nature makes it awesome. And Lord Shiva crafted out of mountain stone fabulous.

This place is looks like heaven.but construction is still going on, u can enjoy the place and near kailasa giri another one hill is there lord anjaneya, Shiva temple is there it is historical place, the people's can get free transportation to kailasa giri. I love the nature of kailasa giri.

Beautiful place for an outing except that the temple priests arrive and open the temple at around 11: 00 AM.

There's a temple in the caves here. Caves are not deep. We went to this place just for a drive. One of those placed you go for the journey and not the destination. While we were there, if was seething hot. In rains the view from the hill would be beautiful. Too many monkeys so don't carry food in hand. You can drive up and then a small walk up. Takes about 15mins. The walk is not suggested for someone with severe knee pain. Road leading up is bad and jerks would be bad for someone with pain. Please do not litter plastic. Thank you.

Newly built place. You have to park the car and walk some hilly road to reach the place. No very steep but not easy for aged people or people with knee problems.
Nice temple inside the cave. There is a marriage Hall inside as well. The view of the valley is very pretty.

One of the hidden jem. This place is not easy to go, but if you can reach then it's a heaven. To reach kailashagiri Hill, you have to do off-roading of 3KM from Kailashagiri Temple. After that you need to trek for around 1.5KM from there to reach the top of the hill. It's basically a fort + hill. It's just haven. You will find the mist over there. And the most important thing is that it's not crowded at all. When I visited this place, only we one the one who was there. We didn't find anyone else over there. Most of the people goes and just visit the kailashagiri temple and come back. Very few people knows about the hill. So if you can ride off-road and do little trek and just don't miss this place.

Amazing place which is just a short distance from Bangalore. You can plan a half day trip with family to enjoy the peace and tranquility within nature.

It's got one of the best caves and it's a must visit. The caves are huge and have various temples inside them atop a hill with a small 3km trek to the top from the foothills. From kaiwara temple, it's approximately 12kms to this hill and it's definitely a must visit as compared to the bheema hills which is much closer to the kaiwara temple mainly because of the man-made cave temples present here.

The place is extremely awesome and people who love off-road this is gonna be the best one! The trek is awesome and some indian superstitions to be believed

A BIKER'S PARADISE.
The road to this view point has been probably the most adventurous 5 km pure off-road trial with steep terrains and no safe rails on the either sides of the path.
The view at the peak is mind blowing and heavenly.
The view point can also be accessed by 4 wheelers.
You will have a couple of shops at the peak for your refreshments.
Best time to visit: 5-6am (gets extremely sunny during afternoons /post 9am)
Best season to visit: All round the year (avoid summers though)
Cons: tricky off road trial!

If you want to go for a trekking+off road biking, you have to choose this place about 7 to 8 km pure off road and then 1 km hill climbing, after that you will reach the tip of this hill and you will have tremendous beauty. Good thing is there are no shops and no plastic around you will find washrooms for both men and women. Lord Hanuman temple is there and daily anna daana prasadam available. So no need to worry about hunger. Please bring water with you.

A beautiful place for day out, please note there is no vehicle access to temple. Need to walk uphill for 200mtrs, not recommended for elder people.

Okay for a quick with 100.km radius. Its a good ride. Lots of speadbreakers. Bangalore, i hare u for that. Back to location.nothing awesome.normal hill top. There is a lake view on the way to the hilltop for photographers. Early morning ride is a good choice.

There is parking space for two and four wheelers. Not paid parking. Toilet also available but not maintained. Simple walk to the cave. Man made caves. You can climb the hill. The caves are the base of the hill.

Situated near Chintamani, it is a beautiful place to ride to. Do not miss out the off roading on the left before parking.we can take the bike to the top of the mountain beside Kailasagiri, and view is wonderful

Shivalinga manifested in side the carved hills, always cool inside the temple. Need to trek to reach the temple, more than 1000 year old temple.

Kailasagiri is nice one day trip from Bangalore.  The hill is believed to stayed by Panda. The efforts made to construct the cave were impressive. You get a positive energy when you enter the cave.

Visited this afternoon. Road from Bangalore is superb. It's a hilly quite place with a temple carved inside the Rocky mountain. Lot's of monkeys around. Parking place, restroom are available.

Hello there, Guys if couples are planning to visit this place just go in week days it will b pretty comfortable for you'll nd your privacy since this place will b filled with devotees on weekends and on gov holidays! And mainly guys go to that place in the early morning but carry food for lunch to you can just enjoy sitting there, you'll have lot of place there but guys plzz b carefull and that place is free from cops nd no one will distrube you'll.temple is little interesting and temple under that rock is also nyc

Cave temple was constructed in single rock mountain it have large Hall connected with three chambers but infrastructure needs more development

There is a small cave built below the big rock. Three temples are made for Ganesh, shiva and Parvati. I was thinking the place was quite good for adventure activities than a temple

Not a touristy location that you might be looking for. Temple carved inside the temple is basic. The view from the top of the hill is OK.

I recently visited this place. It's in chitamani, karnataka. This hills is little far from town. So you have to go by private vehicle or you have to by autos in town. After reaching at base of hill it just 15 min walk n you will reach to temple. There is shiva temple on hills. That's why it is called as kailasagiri hills.

You can spend 2-3 hours there and feel the nature.

Parking charge is only rupees 10. (Not like kotilingeshwar).

A good place for bikers to go around from Bangalore for a one day road trip. This trip is of around 170km to and fro. If u start by 8 am in morning from Bangalore, u can have ur break fast at hoskote near toll gate which is around 25 km from Bangalore. And the destination is around 50km from hoskote.
This place is most suited for photographers. You people can explore the nature. You don't find any restaurants or hotels nearby this place. U can carry ur own food and have.

Kailasagiri hill is around 75 km from Bangalore. It is a beautiful place with awesome view from hilltop. The temple is in an artificial cave. The surrounding is calm and peaceful. The path to temple is a minor trek/walk. Good weekend getaway. Worth a visit. The temple is managed by private organisation.

Surrounded by hills, there is one Shiva Temple in the cave carved in a hill. Artificial huge cave covering the area of more than 300 squares, attracts lots of tourists. It has a good view.

The temple as such maybe simple and not so glamorous, but the site and surrounding was a place to relax, admire, and breathe in. The view from the top, and the pathway. It could have been made more pleasant experience for visitors. Less crowded as of now so adds lot of peace and free zone.

Visiting this cave temple atop Kailasagiri Hill is an experience. Very nice place, private vehicles are not allowed till the top.
