Kalabhairava Temple, Sringeri

Small temple for Sri Kalabhairaveswara Swamy. The temple and it's surrounding are clean and well maintained. One of the Kshetrapalaka for Sringeri. Must visit temple in Sringeri.

This is one of the major attracting in Narshima Vana. This temple is old but renovated. You can either walk here from the peetha or take a auto, plenty of parking is also available here.

Cctv has to be placed as it is very lonely place and becoming lovers spot after noon hours.

Blissful and serene place, Lord Kaala Bhairava, the Kshetra Pala (Care Taker diety) of the East direction of Sringeri is worshipped in this temple

Pooja is done in your names, if you get a ticket the previous day from main counter in Sringeri temple premises. Devotees mostly get a Vade Haara and Ekavaara Rudraabhisheka pooja performed here

To reach here one can take a walk from Narasimha Vana, which is slippery during monsoon. All the auto's will take you here, wait for a while and ply you back to main temple premises for a nominal cost

The temple for the guarding deity ksetra pala, situated in the eastern direction of Sringeri, was consecrated by Sri Shankara. The kAlabhairava idol is a small .

The preceptor does puje on Kaalabhairavaashtami. The deciples and devotees draw rangoli and decorate the entire premises with mango leaves and flowers. Flat screens are set up to telecast the puje to the devotees that throng piously.

One forgets the hustle and bustle of the world and becomes one with the nature.

This is one of the shetra balakas or the security guard for Sringeri. It is like all other bhairavas in many places. The main difference is it is in a small hill with green lush trees and garden set up and is in Sringeri the holy place of many Hindus. Presently a ramp like structure is there to reach temple and I was told that road is under construction to reach temple straight. This is in Narasimha vanam and close to the abode of maha sannithanams which is named as guru nivas (guru means teacher or Acharya and nivas means the normal place of residence.

Very very calm place. Beautiful nature. The best place for meditation. This is the first place I visited alone and liked it very much.
