Best place for watching drama, especially open theater drama, i have watched malegalalli madumagalu dram 10 times, good greenery, peacock sounds, best place for spending time for family on sunday evening
Nice, it was good we went to c drama malegalali madhumagalu, it was almost a 9hrs drama we had fun, as it was at night show we were not able to c every thing Der clearly, but as it's for long hours Der should be a good canteen and Der was a food available but only 1 Der was no option and food was also not good, and washroom was and good, it was either maintained good. Der was 4 place where we have to move through out the drama the 1nd and 2nd sitting was good as compared to the 3rd and 4th, sitting would have been good, but over all it was a good experience either den washroom and a canteen
Not like any other drama. Open theatre play specially entire night show from 9pm to 6am and different destinations to watch is mesmerizing performance by entire team without any lag. So good response from audience in recent days says no tickets available on spot and tickets need to be booked in prior or else we would miss that particular days show. No lesser than any hit movie. Entire tribute goes to Mahakavi Kuvempu sir along with him the Director who drempt of bringing this book story on live performance. Other than this play many short plays are also done and is updated In their website accordingly. Please check once before visiting Kalagrama either in online booking portal or its own website. Thanks for the high rating show.
A very good open auditorium to watch masterpiece dramas like 'ಮಲೆಗಳಲಿ ಮದುಮಗಳು' (Malegalali Madumagalu). It's not near to city center. Need to reach Kengunte near Nagarabhavi circle. This place is built in forest, so we can enjoy the greenery everywhere in the campus.
Went here for the first time to watch the overnight play Malegallali Madhumagalu and my experience was pleasant. The place is well equipped to handle a huge crowd.
The Kalagrama offers theatre lovers another soul satisfying experience. It is situated in Bangalore University campus, Mallathalli. Nearest metro station would be Deepanjali Nagar Station. From there it is 4km away. Currently it is hosting one of the most famous play Malegalalli Madumagalu (Kannada) which will be performed until 29th of February 2020. If you are a person who is into literature and theatre and understand Kannada Language properly, this play is a must watch. Kalagrama is offering us a mind blowing and peculiar experience within the city.
Thanks to Kalagrama for organizing a such a wonderful and my all time favourite novel by Sri Kuvempu "Malegalalli Madumagalu", thanks to entire team for your dedication and perfection in everything. Awaiting for next schedules.

Malegalalli Madumagalu (one of the best novels of Kuvempu), one play played across four open amphitheatres in episodes (one after the other) and 100s of artists and supporting staff, performing all night.it's a life time experience.
Two of the stages were spread over 100 meters. Yes, over 100 meters. Recreating the village with all the details.and several scenes from the play made me experience goose bumps and some made me cry.
Literally it gave me an opportunity to see the world through the eyes of those characters.
Hats off to the entire troup, National School of Drama and 'Kannada and Cultural Department of Karnataka'.
We were here on Feb 8th, 2020 to watch the Malegalalli Madhumagalu drama. The cast and crew put up an unforgettable experience for us. Will definitely come here next year if Kalagrama hosts such things next year as well! Kudos to the team!
I watched play ಕುಸುಮಬಾಲೆ, a Kannada play. Kalagrama has a closed auditorium that can accommodate 200 people. But this play was performed in open area by NSD students. It was a good experience.
Kalagrama is place for Art and Literature. Here there is auditorium for drams. I have seen several good plays here. The memorable is Dr. Kuvempu's MalegaLalli Madumagalu. Now the Kalagrama has to be reached its peak.
Located in a beautiful place surrounded by greenery and away from traffic and pollution. Plenty and sufficient parking spaces available for both two wheelers and four wheelers. This place is good enough for hosting a drama play or any such event. Audio and sound systems are good but might need to have more mike to ensure entire stage is covered for a play. Seating chairs for audience would need an upgrade soon as it's same as found in old styled move theaters. Some of these chairs are not in condition and not usable.
