Kamat Upachar Ankola

This is one of the pitstop for outstation buses. Decent food and the service was quick. Lavatory cleanliness could be improved.

My favourite is their special Banana Bun, if you get a chance to pass through this area, don't forget to try their special dishes

Stale mosambi used in juice. Too spicy veg biryani... Hand wash sink clogged. Please upgrade the Quality

A good vegetarian restaurant on the outskirts of Ankola town, along the National Highway 66.

It is a place with ample parking space for the vehicles and caters to the needs of commuters. The washrooms are fairly clean.

It mainly provides South Indian dishes. The food is good. Ambience is good. Cleanliness is average. No waiter attended to my table for more than ten minutes. I think this aspect needs to be looked into.

Overall it is a good place to stop and relax for a while during a long distance travel.

Excellent food, but poor servers. At 11: 59 they are telling me that dosa is available only till 12. The timelines are okay but they need to respect them before the guests do.

Good food options but the prices are on the higher side as it caters mostly to the traveling customers. Service needs to be more prompt. Sometimes the wait can be quite long. Sugar-free tea is a concept not many understand and neither do they here. They make tea in milk and serve whereas it should have been a regular tea with no sugar added. I hate tea with too much milk but sugar-free tea is a disappointment.

Very bad experience in my life. I had waited for half an hour but did nit not get the order which is poori and baaji. And I am return with empty stomach. Thank you for your treat to kamat upachar.

Food is just average. Neer dosa & Kotte Idli are good here. Service and ambiance are just average. Considering that there are not much good restaurant in the area this is the best option for vegetarians.

Very nice place. In Outside area of Ankola near to highway and also clearly visible from highway. Also a very good place for meals and fastfood. Serving is also good.

When mentioned would like to use card for payment instead of cash, their behaviour changed as if from spring season to winter season. Very bad, would never want to go there nor recommend any one to go either.

If you are looking for a clean vegetarian place for breakfast, lunch, tea or dinner in Ankola this is a great place to stop. Have visited this place many times and the service and food quality and taste has always been good. The Idlis, Puri and chaats are always fresh and tasty and upto the standard of most Kamat Upachar chains. The washrooms are clean and the dinning halls have plenty of seating space and in the outside their is a huge space for parking and a petrol pump too right next to the Restaurant.

Simple decent place for food on a high way. Fairly clean washrooms. Not very posh. But clean and hygienic. Friendly staff. Tasty vegetarian food.

Had idlis in a short break from travelling along. Nice taste. Ambient, hygiene. Must try idlis with sambar and chatni

The worst ever Kamat's I have seen, ksrtc transport has tied up with these guys and they only stop at these restaurants and we have no other options to take.

The best hotel to take snacks. The hotel provides with a best snacks foods that of various types.
The climate of hotel is made up of natural suitable things that of trees, foothills, etc.

Lovely parking space for cars and busses. The surrounding is beautiful. Hotel is spacious and open air styled. Food is Kamat standard and there is no better place to stop within a radius of 50 km from there.

An average restaurant serving average food that is overpriced compared to the quality of the food. Only positive about this eatery is the ample parking space.

We stopped by at Kamat Upachar onroute to BLR for tea/coffee. Staff was very courteous and friendly. Washrooms were ok. Tea & coffee was good. Various options for snacks, savouries available too. Right outside the restaurant there is a handicrafts shop with interesting gift items.

Don't go by its name. Serve starts after 7 in the morning. Not much food varieties. Very old building. Parking is good. Near by fuel station. Wash rooms are OK. Overpriced comapred to qualilty of the food.

This place is a common stop for KSRTC busses from Pune or mumbai.food is decent, not very costly and generally decent with its services.you get fresh juices, good veriety of meals and also bottled juices and packed munchies.

As lots of buses stop here together, there is heavy rush at billing counter which is just one and causes pushing also. They don't have options at all, we had only 3 options to choose from i.e. Roti curry, fried rice and meal. And the prices were too high too. Roti curry was 105 rs per plate and the sides were uncooked!

If You Traveling in KSRTC, which I usually do, from Goa to Blr. Menu is limited. Or else they have Good choice. Food is tatsy. But, since wait time is jus 20min for dinner. I will never suggest u to order anything which can't be eaten under 10min.

Food is good but staff is aragont, manner less, they need customer handling training. If you are reaching hotel post 4pm you will not get any thing except tea & coffee. If u are visiting during that time kindly avoid Kamat Upachar.

We reached there around 9 am. It was a breakfast and pit stop. Ample space for parking is there. Not much rush was there. The washroom were dirty. Worst of all the Kamat upachar I have visited. There was no cleanliness. Many of the food items were not available. The staff was rude. Though there were very less customers the atmosphere was bursting like fish market. The staff was all shouting and talking among themselves. Confused abt orders and mixing them up. Lastly even the bill printing machine was not proper. Half the vertical bill was missing.

Worst quality food and service, would highly recommend not to dine here. I would rather starve to death than dine here. Highly disappointed.
