Kamat Upachar Sira

Pls don't visit here too expensive and food quality is also not good. I really dont know Y this govt bus drivers taking there for dinner, I have experienced no 1 worst hotelthey are looting with passangers.

Tasteless food, no hygeine
All airvat, ev buses, rajahamsa buses heading towards Bengaluru will halt for 30 minutes for breakfast, lunch, dinner

Very nice place.i like it very much.toilet are very clean.very huge place for parking.my ksrtc bus was stop here for breakfast i have ordered plane dosa and tea which is little bit costly but nice taste.go for it.well maintained cleaness and hygienic.it is attached to nh 4.nice behaviour of staff.

Pros:

> Stuff behavior Very Good. They are comfortable in Kannada, Hindi, English little bit.
> Varieties of food available
> Family friendly.

Cons:

> Food quantity not apt compare to the price.
> Some plates, cups are not cleaned well.
> Solo travellers will not be able to full the tummy without paying 150₹+

Overall, if you are hungry, and not alone, can have food here.

It's a perfect place to take a break while driving. Quick service

Hotel, Service & atmosphere is good but last time i got dosa some what bitter sometimes don't know why they serve such food.

Kamat Upachar, Sira: A Disappointing Dining Experience

My recent dining experience at Kamat Upachar in Sira was nothing short of disappointing, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts on this visit. As someone who has previously enjoyed the delightful offerings at this restaurant, my expectations were high, but alas, they were far from met.

To start, my party and I ordered the sweet corn vegetable and mushroom chilli as our starters. To our dismay, these dishes fell far below our expectations. The sweet corn vegetable soup was a major letdown, containing barely any corn and lacking in flavour. It seemed like a sad rendition of what should have been a hearty and flavorful dish. As for the mushroom chilli, it tasted overwhelmingly of oil, with a noticeable absence of the promised spices and ingredients.

The disappointment didn't end with the starters. The plates provided to us were not even clean, and despite alerting the staff and requesting replacements, we were brought back plates that were still not properly cleaned, complete with water spots. This lack of attention to basic cleanliness is simply unacceptable, especially for a restaurant associated with a reputed chain.

Moving on to the main courses, our woes continued. We ordered the North Karnataka meal and veg fried rice. The veg fried rice was a disaster with no discernible flavour and an unpleasant, watery taste that left much to be desired. Fortunately, the North Karnataka meal included white rice and jolad roti, which were slightly better than the other dishes. However, this did little to salvage the overall dining experience.

Considering Kamat Upachar's reputation as a well-known chain of eateries, I expected a lot more attention to detail and quality. Sadly, this visit left me thoroughly disappointed. I hope this review serves as a reminder for the restaurant to reevaluate its standards and strive for the excellence it is known for. Dining out should be an enjoyable experience, but my recent visit to Kamat Upachar was anything but that.

We asked for chaats but it was not available, they told chaat preparing group is absent today, howz that possible, we were not satisfied with the kamat aahaar today

Pure vegetarian hotel We regularly stop here for lunch or dinner and this restaurant is amazing they serve yummy food. Definitely you can give it a try. You get amazing coffee here.

Food is okay. Rava dosa is not recommended.
Big parking space. Clean toilets and other facilities.
Price is also fine.

Worst hotel in terms of service. Arrogant waiters. Was really surprised at how they react. Strongly don't recommend this place (based on my personal experience) waiter name: Ravikumar B

I am a regular traveller on NH-4 and visit to this hotel frequently since a decade. Three years back this hotel was relocated to this place from 3 kilometres away.

Nowadays, here staffs are very arrogant and behave very rudely and neglect the customer for the reason better known to them.

I faced very bitter experience by the staff of Coffee Shop on this Monday morning around 06: 30 hours of 26th June 2023, when I visited here.

SHAME ON THESE STAFFS.

These staffs will definitely ruin the brand name and fame of this hotel.

Quality:

Toilets are Clean. Sufficient parking space available. Ambiance and food is OK. North Karnataka meal is good here.

Cleanliness in the dining area was terrible. I could see spider webs everywhere. They used to maintain really well before. Needs better housekeeping.

Nice place, last time when I was there (29-Nov-21), I was surprised to see our honorable Chief Minister of Karnataka Mr. Basavaraj Bommai dining in there.

The hotel looks good from outside, but there is cleanliness maintained.
Toilet are pathetic.
Food quality is not good.
Hotel management should look into these aspects or else could be soon a closer one.

Nice stop over place on Highway in Sira. Lots of parking space and fine interior and Kamath food.

I was not too happy with the standards of cleanliness.
The least the staff can do, would be clean the tables after each person leaves.

This Highway has very few restaurant to go for send this is one of them. Quality and choice is limited. Nothing to rave about. Very average place. If you find another option on the highway you can definately skip this

I had been to this hotel for breakfast, no much options in the menu but whatever available I tried. Quality wise ok and price little more than regular Sagar's/ Shanti type of hotels. Also there is an snacks outlet inside hotel. You can buy those and have it during your travel time.

When there is a peak in the amount of people, there is no choice of food, no seating, unsanitary practices and no response by the waiters. Please do not go here for either lunch or dinner time on weekends. Also the food is tasteless and not at all worth the money.

The menu available is too mainstream, doesn't have many varities. Parking is available, the staffs are good. Ambiance is fine.

Not only this but all Kamat restaurants have stopped maintaining the taste. We went here thinking that it might be different from others. Only thing you can enjoy is the parking space and the toilet. Just use them and have your food somewhere else.

Spacious restaurant with ample parking space, good menu, service and pricing. Clean and hygiene is above average.

Good at this place, it's too for children play, car parking, ladies bathroom and nice.it's like a vacation place, people can enjoy this place

Parking and wash rooms were good. They serve food very fast also that really nice but teast was not upto the mark.

It's quite good! North Indian dishes are okayish.

ಮೇಥಿ ರೋಟಿ, ಕ್ಯಾಬ್ಸಿಕಂ ಮಸಾಲ, ದಾಲ್ ತಡಕ, ವೆಜ್ ಬಿರಿಯಾನಿ, ಮಸಾಲೆ ಹಪ್ಪಳ, ಹಾಟ್ ಅಂಡ್ ಸೋರ್ ಸೂಪ್, ಕೊನೆಗೆ ಸೋಡಾ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಹೊತ್ತಿನ ನಂತರ ಕಾಫೀ. ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಸೊಗಸಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಬೇಗ ಬೇಗ ಸಪ್ಲೈ ಆಗಿತ್ತು. ಗುಡ್ ಹೋಟೆಲ್.

Not very good. But no other choice for a break while traveling from Bangalore to Davangere. Also very crowded if any tourist buses arrive there.

Too costly and fully diluted milk not sure if it was milk or water they selled it to me and early morning idli was like yesterday idli and don't ask me about chutney and sambhar

Stopped by for a coffee at 10: 15 at night. They were closing shop but still didn't turn me away. They gave me a damn well made filter coffee and were happy to serve it and courteous enough to ask me if I liked it. It's just a coffee but on the highway it's a refreshing change.

Nothing was available except set dosa and biryani when we arrived around 10. That also Biryani got over after we ordered and we had to adjust. Though the place is clean

Very good place, very clean bathrooms, good food, a little bit on the pricey side, but they're worth it. I tried idli vada and chow chow bath here. I love the latter. It has a very pleasant atmosphere, it's a no smoking zone. The table service is very good here, sometimes you have to wait for some time to get the food, the place is always packed since all the top travels busses take a pit stop here.

Pathetic food and service. Found a fly in the rice. They replaced it, however the hygiene and taste is below par. They are surviving since there is no other restaurant in the vicinity.

Kachada hotel and if you are a vegetarian, it’s difficult to find beg family restaurant in Bangalore Puna Highway. This restaurant people taking this as an advantage and they know whatever they server people will arrive to their restaurant. Worst quality food and not at all worth for what they are serving

Food is average, idly ordered was stale, hard n not fresh. Coffee is OK, Gents Rest rooms are clean, but ladies restrooms are not clean.

Food taste is good but they need to improve customer service. Ample space available for vehicle parking. Restroom is available.

My worst experience ever. The coffee I ordered had no sugar in it and tasted very bad. Extremely poor service quality. The tea that my brother ordered was also tasteless. Believe me, never visit it because you see the name KAMAT. The food is terrible. The toilet is also very dirty. 2 of my 9 year old cousins vomited here. NO SWACCH BHARAT FOLLOWED.

Ok ok place.u dont have much on this route to take a break.this place works well.ample parking, good food, busses stop here so expect a bit slow service at times too
