I have tried so many things in Kapoor cafe. Lassi was so good but Chole bathure was sweet, zero taste…. Pathetic experience. And please guys don’t visit this cafe for DELHI STYLE CHAT, DELHI STYLE PARATHA, DELHI STYLE CHOLE BATHURE
Today was a horrible experience overall, to cut costs the restaurant is using palmoil in huge quantities which is messing up the taste. To the extant to serve fast the food is either served stale and cold (we had ordered a Paneer Lababdar and could sense the staleness of it). The only good part of this meal was the Lassi, else overall we aren't quite well after eating here.
Overhyped places. Food quality is too bad. We ordered kadai paneer combo, paneer pakoda and gobi onion paratha.
Pakoda was brought in 2 minutes after order. It was dry and taste was very average.
Paratha was quite big and not cooked properly from sides.
Kadai paneer was just too spicy without much of taste, and caused entire next day.burning of insides. Tawa roti thick, dipped too much in some oil or ghee.
One word - TERRIBLE! For a place that claims to be a haven of Punjabi food, they don't even have a Tandoor. Who are they fooling? No dish ordered went down the gullet.
The ambience of this place is Punjabi however the food is not. They dont serve Tandoor items, the Paratha you will get is simple Tawa Paratha so the claim of being an authentic Punjabi restaurant doesn't hold true. Not saying that the food is not worth it but its not authentic to Punjab. You can get similar Paratha and Roti/Naan elsewhere in Bangalore. Also I am not sure if they have white unsalted butter as we got Amul butter which is again very common and not authentic to Punjab. However the ambience is quite good. You can give it a try but dont go in expecting high class authentic Punjabi style food. The lassi tastes good so that is a must try!
Skyrocketing prices, inedible food, and the worst North Indian food I've ever had. We went there in a group and had a kid with us, so we asked for an item that didn't have spice in it, waiter recommended the dal makhni. But dal makhni, kadhai panner were both full of kadhe masale, and all starters were very spicy. When we complained about dal makhni to the manager, he said, Usme to rehta hi hai spice. In short, he was not open to feedback. Highly disappointed
Ordered Thali. Only 2 customers for dining. They took own sweet time to serve and the bad part was the food was horrible. Paneer butter masala was horrible with a very sour taste
Ordered Aloo paratha via Swiggy today. It was ₹90 per paratha and the taste and quality was worse than a ₹10 paratha. A big let down, will never order from Kapoor's again.
Roof top restaurant. Good service. Sitting is also good specially "khatiya" sitting. Good for family. Price of food are bit high. Also chapatis are not truly north indian type. Overall food is good.
Great place for a vegetarian punjabi meal. The overall setting is unique with khatiya for seating. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch from kulhad lassi and chaach, one of the best aalu paratha we had in Bangalore and everything in general was good. Service was also very good!
The place is good. The ambiance here is the best of all the Kapoor's Cafes in Bangalore. If you want full Dhaba feel, go to the 4th floor where there is open air seating available with full village feel. The food here is a bit overpriced I feel and can be better in that aspect. The quality and taste is top notch but they blankly refuse any customizations in the menu.
Excellent food.tried alu parathe, Chile, makke ki roti and saag.everything was wonderfully cooked. However the service was very poor and the staff were unable to manage the crowd.will definitely go again to hog just because the food is tastyyy!
Loved the food and the service is good. The place is small and one has to wait for seating. They have both option the regular table and chair setups and then on the floor above the Charpoy setups. They use a good amount of butter and ghee, so remember to tell them to reduce it in case you're particular about it.
Food was good.a bit on expensive side. Order one by one, if you are not used to eat panjabi food it might be too much. Check the spicey level before ordering.
My all time favorite, I love it for its paranthas, they are huge. You definitely need to go starving. Taste is awesome. They have dhaba style embience and simple restaurant style embience also. If you are paranthas lover then you should try it once with friends and family.
A place to visit with family and friends. Located at 27th main road in HSR Layout. The sitting style is quite different and one can actually sit on the cot and have their dinner ordered and eat. They also have table and chair facility. As we were in group we took table service. The staff is helpful and courteous. The service is good. The food was good and not the best which we expected and went there. There can be better places than this for sure need to find out. One time visit is good.
Nice ambience.rooftop restaurant is awesome.not crowded on weekdays. But on weekends need to wait just few minutes.food was tasty.especially patialla lassie.
Totally Dhaba! Of course with better setting and lighting. Roof top sitting is a better offer to be than 3rd floor. Service is fast and food is yum! Authentic North Indian food. I would say the best Punjabi place in HSR Layout. Parking available on both side of road but could be a bit of challenge on weekend nights.
Taste, quality, quantity of the food is really awesome when compared to other restaurants. It's my preferred restaurant if I'm going to have North Indian Veg Food.
During crowd, service becomes slow but food taste is good. I ordered boondi raita but it's was horrible in taste so complained to the cashier and he later did not charge for that.that a good customer care but they need to avoid this.
Nice veg restaurant with quality Punjabi food. If u opt for having delicious lassi then u should definitely try dry fruit lassi of this place.but rates are slightly high
I went to Kapoor's cafe today with my family and was shocked to see the attitude of the cafe caretaker. They were hardly concerned about customers. When we ordered for masala papad without chilly, we were told that the masala was prepared in the morning itself and we won't be able to take out chilly from the masala and hence can't customize as per your convenience. Secondly when we ordered for no spicy butter paneer masala, shockingly he told our gravy is already prepared with chilly in it and hence not possible. And they way they talk as if we are doing a favor by visiting them. It looks like they have hired a cook, who cooks everything in the morning itself and the entire day order is served by reheating the same stuff. Strictly avoid if you are looking for freshly cooked food. Mostly restaurants are successful if they serve what the customers need and not what they cook and are adamant. Please avoid this place if you want to enjoy the food. A big NO.
You are sure to find authentic Punjabi food here. We reached cafe almost at the closing time, despite that staff was polite to take the order and waited for us to finish our dinner.
