Food quality look like northern but in taste very bad and serving cold corn and not cold drink can available in the cafe as well as pratha stuffed with onion and potato without any masala.
1) Food quality is awesome. It was super duper tasty food. I ordered veg thali.
2) Huge overall space to sit and headspace is good. Walls are all decorated with funny Punjabi dialogues
3) Music has scope to improve. Speakers feel like in one corner. Also it was Daler Mehandi mostly or the same genre for a long time. Playlist needs a good mix of Punjabi songs
4) It was good to see this restaurant discouraging cash payments
The place is totally changed in terms of space, looks. No doubt about the food. Service is very fast. But the only issue is waiting time. We arrived late on Sunday and it took more than 40 mins. But it's worth waiting
I ordered Aloo paratha through swiggy today. I found a big stone inside it, thank God I found it. Guys check and eat hereafter if you order anything from Kapoor Cafe!
According to FSSAI, Every restaurant should keep quality water. It should be like restaurant kept non-drinkable to push customer to buy bottle water. Firstly restaurant has expensive Menu which is not justified. Very poor ambience, hotel type plates, sheet top, it's not even air-conditioned. Why the hell you charge like Leela Palace!
I recommend Leela palace for food than visiting because you will end up spending Same Money. Or if you wann try North Indian/similar food Visit Bhatinda Junction.
I hope it's valuable to customers and restaurant owner would pick some points for improvement. Blood parasite strategy. Earn deserving money hell hole.
We went for dinner and ordered sarso ka saag and roti, it was so bad in taste, we will think 100 times before going to this place now and on top of that owner is very rude and arrogant, he does not even care if the customer likes the food or not. We also ordered panner butter masala, which was also bad and tasted like someone just gridned some tomatoes and served with paneer. The owner didnot pay attention and also ignored our feedback. In past this restaurant have served good food but nowadays it's very bad and owner doesn't pay attention to customer's feedback.
A good place spend time in a nice Punjabi restaurant. Some people like the ambience some doesn't as there is a loud music always playing and this may be not liked people, other than that seating place is so so.
Just Wow! Must try it's Chole Bhature and Lassi. These guys are serving one of most authentic North indian food. One of my favorite place out here in banglore.
Located in an unusual place hidden away from the main road, only people who know (those who have visited here earlier) come here with their friends. Great Punjabi ambience and rich taste of food. The Menu card "warns" you of spice and butter and there is plenty of it.
We ordered ourselves Dryfruits lassi, Hara Bhara kabab and Cheese balls. The food was aesthetically arranged and was simply mouth watering to look at. The alu paratha is served hot and with plenty of butter.
Access to hotel is very poor, looks like a gully restaurant, parking is very unsafe as it is totally dark and road the area is very bad.
Unfortunately, this hotel does not follow the minimum basic requirement of offering drinking water which is illegal and against the rule. They insist to buy the bottle water.
Food is good. Hotel management has to think of the basic minimum requirements to be offered to their customers. If I formed to BBMP, this restaurant can be closed or finalised heavily.
It was one of the worst food I had ever eaten. We had ordered kadhi pakoda, it was uncooked and bad tasting. The restaurant is overrated. Please do not order from here.
It’s hyped a lot for punjabi and tasty food but the 2-3 times who’ve gone there, the food is okay being a North Indian l. May be it’s different and great for South Indians
Amazing and fulfilling North-Indian delicacies. Budget is above decent. Ambiance is good enough. Good place to visit with your family and friends.
Would recommend few things: Keep your hotel inside less congested (including your storage items as I saw pile of tissue packages behind my table), good road and cleanliness in front of hotel.
Other than that it's an amazing weekend place to have stomach filling tasty food and relax!
Food is homely, taste is average, quantity is genuinely good in thali. Daal yellow Good, capsicum aloo just ok, lacha roti large. However, rajmah had sugar in it which is definitely not Punjabi and overall taste is very average.
To be frank I didn't have food from here. I entered without knowing it's a pure veg restaurant and came to know that only after checking their menu. Items looks expensive. The restaurant is spacious and neat. The outside including parking little muddy when I visited.
Ambience is required to be workee upon. Food is never disappointing at Kapoor's cafe. Recommended- Chole Bhature, Bedmi Kachori with aloo sabzi, gobhi pyaaz paratha.
Food was good but they charge 30Rs for a water bottle (own brand) not keeping bisleri which is of 20 Rs. It is quiet obvious that who is eating food is gonna drink water, also they should keep normal drinking water for free and not force the coustomer to buy 30 Rs bottle. Think logically!
1. Taste was good 2. Hygiene was not sufficient 3. I am expecting hygiene as it is not cheap restaurant. It costed almost rs1100 for 2 persons. 4. Have to wait everytime for 2min to place successive orders in between. Staffs were standing near counter. They should also be standing near tables. Ateast one per 3 table
The taste has deteriorated a lot since I last ate here. It seems the restaurant has been focusing more on the branding and packaging Oates of the core it had and that is the taste. Wish to see they revert back to their original taste. The USP of the restaurant was its authentic taste which is completely lost now.
One permanent stop for paratha lovers. I have been a frequent visitor since 2014 and this place never dissapoints. Food is awesome, it is easy to locate and has ample parking.
My favourite place to have alloo ka paratha. They serve alloo ka paratha hot, with loads of butter and green chutney. Quantity is sufficient for 1 person. This place also serves many other north indian delicacies at affordable prices.
Visited here for dinner. Slow service, extremely spicy food, uses butter in the name of ghee, staff is untrained, manager is clueless of what’s going on and the owner when raised an issues puts the blame on you.
Apart from all of that, the prices are just too high for the quality of service and quality of food being offered. Be ready to shell out atleast a 1000rs for two and in case you don’t like the food, don’t complaint and just consume it because I warned you already!
If that’s not all, just look at their kitchen once and you will surely never go back to any restaurant. The hygiene is terrible.
The car parking area is pathetic, there is no proper road and you have to park your car in mud. The restaurant is around 100mtrs from main road and road on this 100mtrs actually doesn’t not exist. It is only potholes and muddy lane. If you have a pregnant wife, infant or elderly with you in the car, please stay safe or better stay away.
Lot of labour class workers were roaming around which makes it unsafe for women at night.
Prices are very very expensive, 1 roti 70 rs, 1 paratha 150 rs.no other restaurants in bangalore are billing that much. Try not to visist there with family
Ordered palak paneer from Kapoors cafe today…they haven’t cleaned the palak.entire gravy had a bits of the mud…couldn’t eat…horrible horrible experience.
Amazing punjabi food. Super large serves. Keep your ordering to minimal or you will never finishwhat you ordered. Try the Lassi, parathas, sarso ka saag. Nice ambience with punjabi numbers playing in the background. Serious about covid/social distancing as well. Overall a great experience. They have several branches in Bangalore and one in Mysore as well.
I am not a huge fan of Punjabi food. But, today the meal at Kapoor's Cafe changed that. The food here is superb. Panner parato, laccha roti with mushroom curry, lassi are awesome. Poori aloo is just average. Lime soda is also average. Prices are slightly on higher side for the ambience.
It's a very good place to have tasty North Indian food. They have lot of variety and options to choose from. It's must go if you are craving for economic and tasty stuff. The ambience is pretty simple, not much fancy.
Just an advice to be mindful of what you order as the quantity is lots for a moderate eater to eat. You can be full with very little
Very tasty Punjabi dishes nice ambience and courteous service Till recently Shahi tookda their special sweet dish was included in the meal combos and been now removed and priced separately for rs 200+ and they should get it back as part of meal combos Addition of paan at extra price is welcome though the price is a bit more
#WorstPunjabiFood. Overrated restaurant. Worst food quality and same time costly also just for name sake of authentic Punjabi food. My recommendations do not visit there. There are many other Punjabi restaurants which are far better.
The cheese burst paratha is a must have. If you are hunting for Jain food this place is definitely a treat to be at. Don't forget to have patiala lassi. The food combos are also quite good and the food has a blend of authentic Punjabi food
A gd vegetarian food joint but overally priced food items.d location is lil confusing with no proper display n d route to it since its lil inside on d main Whitefield road
Food is good but ambience is not. Little overrated. I went to Whitefield branch on 1st Jan and it was damn crowdy and overall ambience is like really uncomfortable to seat for long hours.
The place was good and so was the service. But the food there wasn't anything out of the ordinary tastewise as the rumours round the tinsel town of Bengaluru. I had ordered one Chandigarh special with Kadhai Paneer. Also when you are paying in cash be sure to carry basic change coins as they are clearly reluctant to provide you so. A part of the menu which I found tastebud tingling was the Dry Fruit Lasso (a term used for thick lassi) served traditionally in a Kulhad but a small one. For foodies like us anything which is served is always less but believe me when I say that they can provide a bit more for the worth of the money they charge. Oh yeah and more thing! In case you want to visit the Whitefield Kapoors café anytime sooner or later I would suggest you to go for one paratha which is more than sufficient for two people. But then again it depends on your appetite too! Have a good day
Taste is good but they add so much AMUL butter in parathas (mainly) that you might not feel good. But anyways taste is very good and worth a visit and frequent visits if you like butter.
Good food for veggies. Located at prime location. Interiors are eye catching and give a sense of relax. Overall good experience specially with parathas.
Hot makke di roti with makkhan in the sarson saag and jaggery and raita was a feast in the winters. Potatoes were mashed so well in the aloo pyaaz paratha that they just melted inside my mouth.
Visited this place after a friend suggested and felt it was kinda overrated. Full marks to the ambience and funny wall hangings/posters here. Getting a table here on a weekend might be difficult and you'd have to wait in Q. The food was okay. I tried the 4 cheese paratha and found it to be just about ok. Nothing too special.
Also, while billing I noticed a big rat behind where the owner sits. It was a rainy day and maybe the rat came in due to the rain, but nevertheless.didn't give me a positive vibe.
Food is really nice, you must try atleast once, and the way they have decorated, is also nice, people are very much friendly there. The attire of the waiters also looks like they are all punjabi, the restaurent is bit crowded but still it's worth visiting, must try lassi and if you are spices lover, this will be great place.
Good and tasty food. Ample of space, Reasonable price and Good ambience. One of the best restaurant to have veg options. Everyone should go atleast once there. You can have veg in good quality and upto your satisfaction level. There is a little bit problem for Parking on weekends because rush here. There will be waiting on weekends from 30 min to 1 hr. Service is good and cleanliness is also upto the mark.
Good restaurant for North Indian food. You will get the feeling of Dhaba, which I like the most. Starters are less, however, they are very good. My favorite is "Sarson ka sag combo" and lassi which gives the authentic Punjabi feeling.
Ordered chole and kachori via swiggy app. Taste was horrible. Spices n salt balance was totally inadequate. Looks like the cook had put salt more than 10times. Was unable to eat the complete food and unfortunately thrown it away. Not recommended based on personal experience.
An awesome place if you are looking for authentic Punjabi taste. The prices are not too high either. About Rs. 200-250 per person. The paranthas here are awesome and there is a great variaty of them. The Cheese Burst Parantha is a must have. Other dishes are also great. Decent indoor sitting. Generally not too crowded and you can get sitting for 4-5 people immediately. The staff is helpful and nice. Decent variety and pure vegetarian.
Good vegetarian restaurant. You will find lot of choices of Thali and they are good. They don't have tandoor but have wide range of Tava parathas. Place had parking as they share space with nearby badminton club. It's a dabha kind of setup so sometime you will feel hot on hot sunny days. Overall value for money.
Lots and lots and lots of butter, that's what you get when you order their speciality; The Parathas. Oh and do try their punjabi fries they are basically peri peri fries with a desi twist.
Was surprised to see the quantity of food served and the taste, amazing. Ambience was too bad, it was too crowded with others tables just within inches from your table. So much noise. Go only if you want to eat. Do not go if you are into discussion or ambience thing.
A place like home. Reminds me home whenever I go. They have maintained the authenticity of Punjabi food. Ambient place to go alone or with friends. Punjabi music is always in the background. Handwash facility is there. Parking space is available.
The food taste is good and you will get a pure feel of punjabi food with the ghee and butter. The food is a little overpriced but overall a good experience
